What happened in Turkish football today? 21.05.2016

England will provide great test to Turkey despite having incomplete squad.

Turkish National Team will start its preparation for the Euro2016 tournament with tough friendly game against England which would surely aim to check  capability of Turkish National Team before tough tournament which is awaiting them. England does come out as favourite but assuming that Turkish national team has improved since last year it will be interesting game to watch at.

As it is known football season is coming to conclusion right now around Europe and in fact it is only 2nd friendly game including Euro2016 contenders in month of May (first one being between Hungary and Ivory Coast yesterday). Positive side for both teams is that the players still has focus into football and in good conditions however it is known that Besiktas players were celebrating and going around for interviews since becoming champions last Sunday and hence their physical preparation might be in doubt for this game. In addition, scheduling of game even through being suggested by England FA is not perfect for them as it would be missing Manchester United and Liverpool players due of FA Cup  and Europa League finals respectively. Even through, Turkey will not play against strongest England squad it will be still tough game for them.

England friendly game will be toughest game for them during this friendly period and it would, despite of missing players in England, able to identify how much is Turkey is ready for Euro2016.

Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor recieve precaution fine from UEFA for not following FFP regulations.

UEFA has announced yesterday fines which would be given to the Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce for not following Financial Fair-Play guidelines. Positive note of this decision by UEFA that it only gave conditioned fine and no bans.

UEFA has announced that Fenerbahce will recieve  7.5 million euro precaution fine for 2 seasons, with first season being 2 million euro while Trabzonspor would recieve 2 million euro in duration of 2 season with option to take away 1 million if it would provide improvement of finances in first year. Trabzonspor which was expecting ban does see the following decision as best one which their could recieve and does show that team had done great defence when it had met with UEFA in Lyon. Fenerbahce whose financial situation is better than Trabzonspor would need to revise possibly its transfer aims for summer window as it does need to be careful with its finances. It became also clear that Fenerbahce would need to have in end of this year 30 million euro difference between gain and loss while Trabzonspor needs to have 20 million euro. This tasks are achievable however.

Both clubs needs to be glad that it didnt recieve bigger fines or even worser -  bans and for now need to be careful with their  finances and not spend cash for nothing with high amount of cash.

Gaziantepspor blames its ex-player Erdem Sen to steal money from their club facilities.

One of the most talking points on this day at Turkish football was accusation given from Gaziantepspor to its ex- player Erdem Sen about who it had complained that the player had stolen cash from club facilities and showed some bad practice during his stay at the club.
In return, Erdem Sen has stated that his been used by the team and was fighting for his right and cash.

He states that club has send fake documents about his termination from team and has visited to get right documents which was his right. As usual, both sides does see themselves to be right one or wrong ones and it is hard to figure out who is telling the truth. However with both stories we are telling things which are more closer to criminal shows rather than football with both sides trying to affect reputation to each other. Since there was news before hand that Sen was not allowed to leave country due of missing documents does kind however show that footballer might be truthful compare to the story of the club.

Both sides needs to find solution to this scandal and in future should take this measures in more professional manner, and that goes both to Gaziantepspor and Erdem Sen.
