Galatasaray has won Turkish Cup final against Fenerbahce and became cup holder for 2015-16 season and hence has saved itself from not competing at the UEFA competitions for 2 years and will only miss European competitions next season unless it doesnt qualify from league/cup route next season.
Galatasaray during the game was one which was dominating the game especially during 1st half despite of not playing perfectly during the game. It had provided the game during in the first half where was controlling game and was providing tempo while Fenerbahce has shown discouraging football and showing signs that it still didnt recover from getting 2nd place at the Super League.
Despite of few attacks such as Abdoulaye Ba post at 2nd half and also few shots, Fenerbahce didnt manage to get much dangerous positions and seemed not to show reaction and answer to the gameplay to the Galatasaray. With Fenerbahce not playing its best football, Galatasaray has managed to provide win with playing good game and using its opportunities with nice goal by Lukas Podolski at 31st minute of the game.
Galatasaray mentally was at better position during the game to win the game as it always focussed to get this title so get Europa League spot and get out of the risk of having extra year from 1-year ban from which it recieved from UEFA FFP. Galatasaray wanted to win game much more Fenerbahce and this was clear from its reactions during whole game.
Fenerbahce players during the game despite of some moments were not focussed to the game which could be to the misundersandstement at the changing room and also players being mentally affected from losing league title to Besiktas. It could be stated that Fenerbahce has given league title both to Besiktas and Galatasaray in this season with how it competed in last 2 months both at the league and tonight.
Trabzonspor will discuss with Erkan Zengin future at the club after Euro2016.
One of the players whose future at the club is uncertain is Trabzonspor player Erkan Zengin as there are been signs several times both by player and administrators of the team that their not happy with each other. It became clear that his future at the team will be discussed after Euro 2016.
Several days ago Erkan Zengin has stated at the Swedish media that last season Trabzonspor was at the chaos both at financially and motivationally and that players didnt recieve a lot of cash and payments were always delayed. It also needs to be remembered that Zengin was among players who were taken away from squad but forgiven after Super League game against Fenerbahce. It can be certainly stated that Trabzonspor, as long as Zengin is mentally focussed to his performance, is a player which team would like to keep however it is questionable if he would come with agreement with new head coach Ersun Yanal. It is clear for now that Yanal is only interested to keep players who would give their all with their performance and Zengin needs to prove that.
Also, one of the ways to achieve that is good performance by him at the Euro2016 with Sweden which could keep him at team next season.
Besiktas has offered 5 million euro to Osmanlispor player Umar Aminu.
Besiktas has offered 5 million euro to the Osmanlispor player Umar Aminu and has shown a good sign of interest to one of the key players of last season of Ankara team. Even through Aminu is not in same level as Besiktas current squad, he would give some great advantage to the team.
It is known that Besiktas does focus into making star-focussed transfers this summer but focussing into quality players at the Super League would allow them to get good players at the market for cheaper value. It is important just to get get players which would be effective and Aminu is among them. Umar Aminu with number of goals scored at the team and general performance would only give advantage to Besiktas for next season and could be seen in return be seen as big loss to Osmanlispor.
It is however unclear how Osmanlispor would react to Besiktas offer as it is said it will not like to lose a very important player at its squad if it wants to get through Europa League qualifiers this summer.
