What happened in Turkish football today? 30/04/2024

TFF CEO election very likely to be taking place on 18th July.

Gaziantep CEO Memik Yilmaz has announced that club is supporting to have TFF CEO election on 18th July as it does look to be date which election would be taking place as time to gather signatures for petition to have earlier is getting less.

Club's Union action for gathering petition signatures to call for an earlier TFF election from date which was announced from current administration is getting limited as it didnt manage to get enough signings which been asked for. Since TFF needs to go through decision within 30 days for election, its getting into point when if signings would be gathered would not provide much difference as earlier it could have an election is end of June. Therefore, it would be looking that clubs would get into this realisation and accept an election date to be as 18th July, date which been originally offered by TFF.

Hence, it would be reasonable to assume that election will be taking place in original date with more clubs accepting that date in upcoming period.
