Alanyaspor been slightly better side against Gaziantep.
Alanyaspor has got to the Turkish Cup semi-final stage after beating Gaziantep as it provided much more effective game compare to its opponents and used its opportunities much more effective despite of game being played in low tempo for most amount of the game.
It is hard to state that Alanyaspor did provide much better performance compare to Gaziantep during 90 minutes especially until 70th minute as both sides has played until that minute not to concede which did lead for low tempo between both sides. In fact, 1st goal which did come has been to some extend a lucky goal as it provided pressure to Gaziantep while opponents did look to be located in more or less ineffective manner. After that Alanyaspor did provide much more defensive game which led them to concede at last minute at 90 minutes but in extra time did find goal at 102nd minute and continued after that providing much more careful game which led them to get win and reach to semi-final.
Alanyaspor is going to play againstr Sivasspor at semi-final stage at the game where both sides are being into same level and would be exciting 2-leg game between sides.
Gaziantep had lacked a bit to get to semi-final.
Gaziantep on their part did provide strong organising and patient game and it is hard to state that its been providing poorer game compare to opponent but it did lack some moments to get winning result.
It was clear that Gaziantep in more or less did focus not lose game for 90 minutes rather then getting win as there has been lots of stake and also that clubs are similar to each other when playing on the field. Gaziantep positive note during game has been with showing strong reaction after getting behind after it scored in the last minute of the normal time as it shown reaction after conceding at 72nd minute. However, it didnt have time and performance to do again after conceding 102nd minute. It is hard to criticise Gaziantep as it wasnt too much behind with performance compare to Alanyaspor but had absence of that last minute crucial touch.
Gaziantep hence is being out from tournament with losing to Alanyaspor with showing good performance in competition and would be now focussed to Super League to end at highest spot.
Both Galatasaray and Konyaspor have reasons to win game against each other.
Galatasaray is currently experienced 2-game streak wins in the Super League which without doubt did rise motivation and confidence to team and Domenec Torrent but it would be having tough game against Konyaspor.
With Konyaspor on other hand losing points back-to-back in the league and putting its 2nd spot into difficulty it would be without doubt looking at this game as possible turning point and regaing confidence and motivation as 2nd spot would be very important as it would get 1st time opportunity for Champions League game. However, Galatasaray on other hand would be focussed to get 3rd win back-to-back and keep its motivation high for game against Barcelona in next week Europa League game. Therefore, Galatasaray would be playing for win and without doubt aim to improve its performance from last week despite the fact that it has won previous 2 games.
It would be game which is hard to identify favourite however Galatasaray is coming with better form but Konyaspor likely to see this game as turning point for themselves.
