Trabzonspor got to semi-final without much issue.
Trabzonspor has got into semi-final of the Turkish Cup after beating Antalyaspor with 2:0 scoreline as it got one step closer to the getting double in this season as it continues its dominating performance.
Without doubt during this whole season, Trabzonspor is showing best performance compare to other clubs and it continued such confident form in the Turkish Cup as it beaten one of the most toughest team in the league and finalist of the previous season Antalyaspor. Trabzonspor as it does in recent games did provide strong pressure into Antalyaspor goals from 1st minute which led for an early goal from Edin Visca. With Trabzonspor coming out with its best starting 11 to this game by itself shows how serious side did take this game and has shown confident attacking game. It needs to stated that its been side which controlled and showed attacking game and also found 2nd goal on 83rd minute with Berat Ozdemir.
Antalyaspor meanwhile didnt provide enough pressure to Trabzonspor which been expected even through this has been mainly due of performance of Trabzonspor as it couldnt provide strong resistance. Side would now focus into getting further from relegation zone.
Trabzonspor has made important step for ending season with double as it would be awaiting winner of Besiktas and Kayserispor for semi-final.
Fenerbahce did get win but didnt show great game.
Fenerbahce did get 3rd win back-to-back with 2:1 win against Kasimpasa and hence been raised to 4th spot which would bring them to Conference League as it also being 3 points behind of 2nd spot Konyaspor.
Even through its been important to win this game and keeping its chances for European football next season, it needs to be mentioned that side didnt provide very good performance for 90 minutes of the game as continuation following of early goal didnt come much after Zajc scored on 6th minute. In fact, main reason why Fenerbahce did win game has been another top performance of Altay Bayindir. Fenerbahce to some extend did show fighting spirit mentally without doubt but still did provide low tempo game which without doubt did play most important role for struggling to get into high number of opportunities. Mergim Berisha also did waste as usual high number of opportunities which did make such win much more tougher.
Therefore, Fenerbahce might have won game but it didnt show very strong performance for 90 minutes and still needs to improve if it wants runner-up spot.
Besiktas would now focus to Turkish Cup.
Besiktas, with getting further from league title chances and difficulty at being for 2nd spot race without doubt would provide additional focus for Turkish Cup as it would play against Kayserispor.
With Turkish Cup being only possible aim for this reason or more precise being one which it could get in the end of the season with its own performance it would be likely to provide full focus and probably come out to the game with its best squad. It needs to be mentioned that Kayserispor is also being positively motivated for the game as it also being in good form and for sure would be focussed to get at least furthest it can and even win whole thing. Hence, Besiktas would be favourite for game for sure but Kayserispor will not give up easily. Besiktas would also focus for sure to solve its issues of losing tempo in the end of the game.
It is expected that game would be highly contested with both teams tactically doing everything to win game.
