Title holders starts new season with confident win.
Title holders has started Super League 2021-22 season in more or less in same manner as it completed previous season as it got confident win against Rizespor with 3:0 scoreline with full control of the game for 90 minutes.
With Besiktas pre-season friendly games not being going through into ways how it was seeking for there were some question if side has been ready for this new season but tempo which it provided during Rizespor game, even through opponent didnt provide much resistance, does provide view that Besiktas is able to carry on providing performance which played important role at winning previous season. With providing full control of the ball with kick-off, 1st goal for this Super League season did come from Kevin Nkoudou on 9th minute who did score great goal from difficult angle with providing full determination from player. Meanwhile, its been also important for Besiktas to score 3 goals with 3 different players which did come from key players during previous season giving message that there would be taking leading role at club in this season.
Rizespor on their part didnt provide much resistance towards Besiktas with playing pretty slow game and both not being able to provide pressure to Besiktas and both defensively therefore this outcome and game could be strong message to side which it needs to solve if it doesnt want to have problematic season.
Besiktas did look like in more or less similar manner how it completed previous season as it got title and with this performance did send strong message to everyone that it aims to defend its title.
Galatasaray came out for win and got it.
Galatasaray gets to next stage of the Europa League after beating St.Johnstone with 5:3 aggregate scoreline ending 2nd leg game with 4:2 scoreline in Scotland providing attacking game but still had some issues with defence.
Galatasaray it needs to be admitted especially in attack did provide pretty strong attacking game with showing that it did come out for win which is been clear for first time during this season official 4 games in the Europe, which quite naturally did been turned into pretty confident win against which is being much more modest in quality to them. However, it needs to be noted that with conceded goals which did come during this game, it is clear that Galatasaray continues to be having some issues in the defence especially set pieces, issue which been pleasant during previous season too. It does look like this should be area for improvement for Galatasaray in upcoming training session as domestic league would be started for them on 16th August.
Galatasaray still got crucial motivational boost with this win and would be looking forward for start of Super League and play-off round games against Randers.
Trabzonspor gets to play-off round via penalty shoot-out against Molde.
Trabzonspor got into next round of Conference League with beating Molde through penalty kickout and hence did have some difficulties especially with defence but compare to 1st leg did show some improvement without doubt.
Trabzonspor did come out to the game with focus to provide similar attacking game compare to 1st leg and also improve its defensive game due of conceding 3 goals in 1st leg. Even through it could be noted that side did look to be in better condition with defensive game and looked to be much more organised it didnt provide much pressure into attacking game even through it needs to be noted that it did succeed of controlling Molde and not getting upper hand of the game with both sides providing performance in the middle without doubt. Trabzonspor should be satisfied hence with this result as it got into next stage but there are areas which it needs to work on if it wants to start league in good game and provide some pressure against Roma at play-off round.
Trabzonspor did provide good performance against opponent which is regular at European football but it needs to go through reasons of not completing game earlier.
