What happened in Turkish football today? 06/04/2021

Trabzonspor couldnt pass 18-year old goalkeeper.

Trabzonspor continues to losing points in recent weeks as it drawn with Kayserispor with 1:1 scoreline during Super League 32nd week but this time it did provide very good performance but couldnt pass 18-year old goalkeeper Dogan Alemdar.

Trabzonspor it needs to be noted did provide one of its best performance during this season with focussing into attacking game providing numerous opportunities but it couldnt pass opponent goalkeeper Dogan Alemdar who made impressive 10 saves with some of the them being 100% opportunities. In addition, to this two of the balls did hit into post which been lucky for Kayserispor who on their part urgently needed 1 point to keep chances to stay in the league. It needs to be mentioned still Trabzonspor did still find 1 lucky goal on 30th minutes with Bakasetas who once again did take his role of main goalscorer as among scoring goals he did create high number of opportunities. Even through it didnt get scoreline which it was seeking for it could be noted that Trabzonspor would need to take for most part positives from this game and need to focus into providing much more effective attacking game.

Without doubt key reason for this point has been 18-year old Dogan Alemdar having 10 saves and providing positive look for future of the Turkish football but it could be noted that as whole Kayserispor did show good resistance.

Trabzonspor did provide some positive game but with this loss of 2 points meanwhile does keep themselves not only far from title but also from top clubs as side will have 9 games to play until end of the season.

Win against Denizlispor could be turning point for Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce without doubt has got very important win against last spot Denizlispor thanks to Mbwanna Samatta goal from corner and has reduced point difference to 2 points with Besiktas with opponent having game in hand.

With Emre Belozoglu winning his 1st game after being appointed as club's caretaker coach, it needs to be noted that side didnt provide much changes with how it performed with Erol Bulut with providing low tempo game without much opportunities and did provide some worrying signs if it would met with stronger opponent. But with taking account that its direct opponent did lose points during this week, Emre Belozoglu winning his 1st game and ending suprising poor performance at home ground this win would provide optimism and belief for title race. Playing against however with Yeni Malatyaspor after such short notice could be seen as unlikeness as it did have limited time to improve its performance but still it does have some opportunities to fight for title.

Fenerbahce after this win at least got strong morale at title race which would provide strong confidence to side for sure.

Besiktas is expected to have tough game against Alanyaspor

Even through still being leaders and have 2 wins advantage for title with 9 games left on this season, losing 4 points in previous 2 games shows that side could not be relaxed too much as it could put into risk its title.

After losing to Kasimpasa which could be connected to different reasons, there would be meeting against more tough opponent Alanyaspor which even through does show pretty poor results in recent weeks, does show different motivation when playing against top clubs and also it still has opportunities for top 4 spot for European competitions next season. Apart of Rachid Ghezzal ending his card fine, there would be still same absences as was on previous game however Ghezzal great crosses could once again become key in this game. Besiktas didnt have lots of time to prepare after losing game to what expected to be tougher game so it would be interesting to see how side would respond from previous loss.

This opportunity for Besiktas to show strong reaction from last 2 weeks loss of points but it would not be easy for them at all.
