What happened in Turkish football today? 24/04/2021

Besiktas gets very important 3 points against Kayserispor.

Besiktas has won crucial game against Kayserispor during Super League 37th week game with 3:1 scoreline as it did come out to the game with high number of absences which did lead for side not getting full dominance of the game in all fairness to them.

Still with side fighting for title and with ending previous 2 games with draw side did come out for win which it did need regardless how it gets and it should be noted that Besiktas did start game in such manner with providing high tempo of the start of the game which did led them getting penalty which been converted from Rachid Ghezzal even through it did concede goal after 2 minutes which but rather then getting disoriented it did continue with showing strong attacking game. It could be noted that there were moments where Kayserispor did provide strong pressure to Besiktas players getting into ball and using some mistakes which did come out for game to side proviiding some mistakes but depsite of that it did get back lost balls in very fast manner without doubt. Still, with side being highly focussed Besiktas did provide performance with showing strong fighting spirit fighting for those 3 points.

Kayserispor on their part did provide good game with showing siigns of fighting to each ball untill last minute which been good sign but quality difference did play some crucial role but still it did show signs that it would fight for each point after this.

Besiktas without doubt did get very important 3 points with continuing to have advantage with entering to last 5 games.

Galatasaray stays inside top 2 spots with win against Antalyaspor.

Galatasaray did come out to Super League 37th week game with only focus without doubt to get 3 points against Antalyaspor but did have trouble with finding goal but did found it with Mustafa Muhammed during 76th minute.

With Antalyaspor more or less being one of the few sides which did come out to last games without much aims while Galatasaray are still fighting for at least 2nd spot for last 5 games and this more or less what did happen as Galatasaray been side which did dominate in all of the statistics with focussing into providing strong pressure to goal with getting 3 posts but couldnt find winning goal. In fact, winning goal which been scored on 74th minute from Mustafa Muhammed who did come out on 2nd half after being recovered from Covid19 with while being isolated he managed to get outcome and reminding his key role for this side despite of losing his effectiveness in recent weeks. This win however did regain back motivation but it is still unclear how side would perform against Konyaspor as it shows unstable performance so it needs to continue such game to fight for either title or at worst 2nd spot.

Antalyaspor mainly provided defensive game which did lead for such minumum scoreline with also Galatasaray not converting opportunities during this game without showing too much attacking game.

Galatasaray did get crucial result and would now focussing into continuing with still keeping its title hopes alive as we enter to 5 games.

Trabzonspor has ended its draw streak with win despite of not showing great attacking game

Trabzonspor has ended its draw streak of 5 games thanks to 2 goals which been scored by Djaniny during Super League 37th week game with keeping its chances for 3rd spot slighly possible with 4 games left to be played for team.

It was important for Trabzonspor to show some reaction following recent games with one of the form opponents against Fatih Karagumruk showing some fighting spirit even through it needs to be noted that side didnt get high number of opportunities with Fatih Karagumruk looking to be better side in some moments of the game so despite of scoreline it wasnt easy for them. To some extend, penalty goal on 14th minute following hand ball from Fatih Karagumruk. Interestingly for Trabzonspor during such crucial game it didnt get full control of the game with Fatih Karagumruk been side with controlled ball and created opportunities, with Trabzonspor been more focussed into counter-attacks which it did during this game. Therefore, its been interesting since Trabzonspor didnt show its best game and to some extend has provided more passive and defensive game compare to previous games where it drawn but paradoxically it did get win which it needed.

Fatih Karagumruk to some extend could be seen as side which been unlucky as their did show high level game with being side which possessed ball and created opportunities but couldnt pass Ugurcan Cakir who did provide high number of crucial saves.

Trabzonspor despite of not providing very good game did get very important 3 points after 5 draws and did regain motivation and confidence for last 4 games.
