What happened in Turkish football today? 25/01/2020

Fenerbahce has dominated game against Basaksehirspor.

Fenerbahce has won an important game against Basaksehirspor with 2:0 scoreline with dominating whole game and not allowing its opponent not only creating chances much but even not taking breath with its pressure.

Even through Fenerbahce did find goals during latest stages of the game with Max Kruse and Vedat Muriqi finding 2 goals, it has provided disciplined and high level pressure towards Basaksehirspor creating dangerous chances with looking high chances. Without doubt Fenerbahce did provide its best performance during last 2 years and led for Basaksehirspor not being to provide any solutions for this pressure both in defence and especially during attack performance. In fact one of the main reasons for Fenerbahce not getting win with much more confident outcome been once good performance of Mert Gunok who is generally showing. What is more important that apart with game its shown, Fenerbahce mentally been at the game always looking of chance and from face expressions from players it was seen that only focus on their mind. With Trabzonspor game against Yeni Malatyaspor being postponed due of earthquake, Fenerbahce would end week at 2nd place and does provide that it would be fighting for league title both mentally and physically.

Basaksehirspor meanwhile did show during this game that it is incapable to provide strong performance as side when its under pressure which also been present last season. Basaksehirspor towards end of the season will have games like this and it needs to solve this issue if it wants title.

Fenerbahce provided incredible pressure and did everything to win game and deserved this win for 100% without doubt.

Besiktas would be having tough game against Goztepe without head coach.

Besiktas will be meeting against pretty in-form Goztepe during Super League 19th week game after it has sacked its head coach Abdullah Avci and hence would come out to important games in such unexpected development.

Even through there was expectation for sacking for Abdullah Avci due of poor results in recent weeks and also in general during this season it was expected but it could be questionable how it was tactically smart action to do prior to Goztepe game as literally it didnt train to the game without him being in the post and hence this could lead to some unexpected poor performance. It would be reasonable to expect that Besiktas would be providing similar tactical as it shown with Avci during this game as it was how team has been preparing without doubt. Therefore, Goztepe in fact would have good opportunity to use this crises which Besiktas is at for its own advantage when taking account it would be also be their 1st game at new stadium which by itself would provide additional confidence and motivation to the game.

Therefore, this would be pretty tough game for Besiktas with its head coach being sacked just less then 48 hours prior to game and mentally it would be pretty tough game for players without doubt.

Galatasaray are favourites against Konyaspor.

Galatasaray without doubt would be aiming to carry on its positive performance which it is showing in 2020 with difficult aim for fight for league title as it would be playing against pretty poor form Konyaspor.

Even taking account that Galatasaray are not showing great performances and does slighly struggle to get comfortable wins, it would be coming out against Konyaspor as strong favourites as their opponents are really showing poor performances, with losing games and struggling to win games, even through it did win last week. Galatasaray without doubt would be mainly aiming to provide controllable game with providing strong attacking game as with Saracchi which does provide of providing good croses into dangerous zones could help both Emre Akbaba and Radamel Falcao into getting towards good chances with finding great strong positions to find goals. Konyaspor on their part without doubt did gain some motivation from last week win and raise confidence but with level of teams and quality does put Galatasaray to come out as favourites which could lead for them to get result their seek for.

Galatasaray does come out as favourites and could lead to get comfortable score which would help with motivation.
