Trabzonspor had negotiations with Guilherme without Yeni Malatyaspor knowledge.
With mid-season transfer window to be closed tomorrow, one of the most discussed players in this period Yeni Malatyaspor player Gierherme has once again got into headlines this time with negotiations he had with Trabzonspor.
According to Yeni Malatyaspor statement, player did start transfer negotiations with Black Sea side without providing any information to the club and similar action has been done from club. As it is reported, Guilherme has arleady travelled to Trabzon to finalise talks and it needs to be noted that all this period and negotiations has been done in anti-sportive manner for sure. Rightfully, Yeni Malatyaspor following this developments did terminate contract with player and right now aims to send complaint towards FIFA and UEFA due of this unethical behaviour of Trabzonspor. Yeni Malatyaspor has been rightfully affected from this development and stated that no any excuse and statement given to them will not be expected, showing signs that those clubs would have some bad period as relationship with each other.
It needs to be stated without doubt that actions has been done by Trabzonspor unethically and response given by Yeni Malatyaspor is being right.
Ankaragucu has lifted transfer ban.
Ankaragucu CEO Firat Murat has announced that after being focussed into this issue club has managed to lift transfer ban and will now aim to make some transfers within 24 hours as it did make some principal deals.
Without doubt Ankaragucu with limited squat and also financial issues has been among most clubs which needed to make some transfer to stay in the Super League but did have issue to make their squad much stronger during mid-season transfer window. It is reported that club for now did make some principal deals with number of player and would now need to sign contract in such notice as it would be difficult period as it has achieved to lift more or less in last minute even through it has been difficult period for them and hence for this achievement need to be highly praised for sure. Without doubt when new CEO joined this club this has been priority and its been difficult one to achieve but this administration needs to be proud to achieve this.
Therefore, this club did lift one of its important issues but now need to focus to sign final contracts in such short notice.
Konyaspor has loaned Robert Mak.
Struggling Konyaspor has probably made its most important transfer during this mid-season transfer window as it loaned Zenit player Robert Mak who is in capacity to keep them at league.
Robert Mak when being at best form can without provide high level performance which seems to be pretty lacking at Konyaspor during this season and being good midfielder can play crucial role with starting effective attacks for the team especially taking account that it does have at front some good attackers despite of being at last place. Therefore, as long as Mak would provide performance which would be expected from his in this period, Konyaspor could get some positive results and get its crucial points but again it needs to be remembered in same that Konyaspor and it is questionable if he would be able improve a lot with game style, but he does have capacity to improve performance of side.
Therefore, this transfer as long as Mak plays best football would be able to help team to show improvement with its performance as whole.

Besiktas has appointed Sergen Yalcin for 1.5 years
Besiktas has appointed Sergen Yalcin as its head coach for 1.5 years, who did manage to make his name to be associated with this club due of his performance in the club during first half of 1990s and after travelling in some clubs, with early 2000s achievements.
It needs to be noted that Turkish sports media tend to focus on this days due of his achievement as a player which he did have some great years in this club. Even through this mainly been done truly to make message for him "coming back to home" and also being certainly topical right now, it would be not right to compare his player as coach performance. Even through this might seen as harsh criticism in our view, in other hand keep reminding what he done as player would provide incredible pressure to him also which could lead to unwanted reaction from fans and media. Sergen Yalcin as been noted on yesterday entrance did have some good coaching experience, but he didnt have much experience with top-level side. One thing which seems to be certain, regardless his achievement, Besiktas administration should provide him some patience during this season and strong support compare to Abdullah Avci.
Compare to Avci he would have stronger support from fans even if things will not go right, but in same time he needs to remember that supporters demand good game.
Henry Onyekuru has resumed training sessions.
Galatasaray player Henry Onyekuru has attended to training session following his recovery from malaria he got during New Year break, and without doubt this development has been done in great moment as both Falcao and Saracchi has become injured.
On our previous blog entry, we did state that injury of our players could lead to some negative circumstances towards side especially at front, but remembering role of Onyekuru for league title during end of last season would mean that his return would be good development even through since he didnt play for some period, it would be reminded that he would be needing time to get into his maximum level. Still, Onyekuru without doubt would be also grateful to be able to train and even through it is still unlikely for him to play against Kayserispor, he would be able to get some playing time in upcoming weeks as we entering to crucial weeks.
Therefore, Henry Onyekuru return would always have positive impact but with this timing it made it even more crucial for team.
Sivasspor needs to stay focussed for rest of season.
Sivasspor is still being league leaders right now with getting there deserved manner but it needs to be stated that it did show some worrying image against Rizespor with possibly showing that it has lost its winning style of game.
However, once again this statement would be bit unfair as this reference is giving to one game and possibly things didnt go as we planned. Even strongest team on their league title season (unless you are Liverpool) did have some difficult games, but it would be crucial what you do in last weeks and in games directly connected your chances for title. Foremost, it needs to be noted that Sivasspor did provide very good performance and most importantly results when it played with its main opponents so far this season, and with reference of this if it manages to do that in 2nd half it would make important step. With more generally performance of rest season, it needs to stay at top performance almost in every performance. Even through Galatasaray last season did show great performance towards end of the season and surely shouldnt downgraded, main reason for them to get title was Basaksehirspor poor performance in last 5 games losing 8 point advantage. Sivasspor compare to Basaksehirspor does have supporters which would push them forward when needed. Sivasspor also, looking from players statements, does believe it can get title. This is very important if it wants to get there.
Sivasspor as leaders need to show top performance and also if it doesnt show it in some games, as it did against Rizespor, it doesnt need to get distracted and carry on top level, this is key for title.
In other news:

Besiktas are close to announce Sergen Yalcin as club's head coach.
According to reports, Besiktas has made deal with coach Sergen Yalcin for 1.5+1 years and it is only among number of hours until club officially announces this deal between parties, as their made all of the agreements.
Since Besiktas has sacked Abdullah Avci from his position, Sergen Yalcin name has become discussed most often with supporters without doubt providing strong pressure for his appointment.
However, it is need to be noted that he would be joining club which is currently is not providing good performance and hence would provide difficult moment for Sergen Yalcin. It is true that Yalcin did work with clubs which were struggling until now and has managed to keep them on the league when their were edge on relegation, but apart of Yeni Malatyaspor he didnt manage to provide much performance for top places and he didnt manage this level of game with club during this season.
Taking account lack of experience and also limited squad, it could be expected that Besiktas could raise some performance with him but it is questionable if it would be able to get into level which their supporters would be expecting for.
Therefore, Yalcin is coming to serious role when he would be signing contract with club which he became legendary player during 1990's but he would need to prove himself as coach.
Galatasaray players Radamel Falcao and Marcelo Saracchi will not play for 3-4 weeks.
Galatasaray players Radamel Falcao and Marcelo Saracchi will not be able to play for 3-4 weeks due of injury both players recieved during Super League 19th week game which would have some negative impact for its recent good performance.
As it been stated several times at our blog, Galatasaray did have very good start of 2020 so far and without doubt one of the main reason for this has been high level performance both of Radamel Falcao and Marcelo Saracchi. Both for club and players did get that momentum which club has seeked for since start of the season, and surely those injuries would lead Fatih Terim to be very unsatisfied and led side to reduce its performance level again especially in attack. Hence, it would be place for coach to look for some alternative ways in attack without changing its momentum but it could be pretty difficult with taking account players who would take their places would be unlucky to provide this level performance.
Those injuries for sure would have negative towards team performance and Terim needs to find ways how to prevent that.
Feyenoord has loaned Oguzhan Ozyakup until end of the season.
Feyenoord has made loan deal with Besiktas player Oguzhan Ozyakyup who didnt provide high level performance during this season and would be returning to country where he was born and spend his youth.
Most importantly this loan deal could help for Ozyakup to aim to get into level of performance which he did show in his peak with Feyenoord also having high aims in Eredivisie could be good opportunity for him if he would be using for maximum. It needs to be noted that even through he has dropped his performance, Ozyakup is aware of this taking place and does show strong signs that he wants to solve those issues, and Feyenoord surely would be good opportunity. However, as it would be expected it would all depend on players attitude without doubt as this opportunity both mentally and physically would be available to him.
Oguzhan Ozyakup would join Feyenoord to get back into high level performance and he is capable to achieve this barrier.

Besiktas did come out with difficult circumstances to Goztepe
Turkish Super League 19th week game against Goztepe was expected to be difficult one for Besiktas due of poor results which it did gain in recent weeks and also for Goztepe playing its 1st game at new stadium would provided additional motivation.
With sacking its head coach 2 days prior of the game, Besiktas literally did come out without coach and also didnt have normal preparation for this game which therefore had led direct impact with its performance. In fact, it could be argued to some extend that Besiktas did show very good performance with all this circumstances and in all fairness did provide strong positive football but without tactical preparation, especially with opponent which does show very good performance in recent weeks it did come in difficult condition for sure. Meanwhile, it is reported that Besiktas did make deal with Sergen Yalcin for 1.5 + 1 years but as been mentioned before hand he would be recieving difficult period since team is being in poor motivation and confidence which was seen partly during this game.
Besiktas could be praised for its performance with this circumstances but in same time it does show clearly that is at crises right now.
Galatasaray became more collective side in the field.
Even through Galatasaray does go through easy fixture right now as it did meet with struggling Konyaspor during Super League 19th week, it needs to be admitted that side in personal performance does show high level improvement right now.
It needs to be admitted that Konyaspor who does have issues in attacking field, has also showed very poor performance with its defensive side in this game making very simple mistakes which led Galatasaray to get into good chances during game and convert them effectively. Both Emre Akbaba and Radamel Falcao does show high level performance and hence did plat crucial role with this win, looking for and converting chances. There is more understanding between players right now for sure. Therefore, Galatasaray does carry on providing some good performance as team but outcome of this performance would become even more clear when some difficult opponents would be coming to team.
Galatasaray without doubt are in good condition right now and became more teamwise side but as Terim states, it still needs to improve for upcoming games.
Gevrek comment regarding postponement of Trabzonspor game does leave lots of questions.
There has been surprisingly lots of conversation regarding TFF decision to postpone Super League 19th week game between Yeni Malatyaspor and Trabzonspor due of 6.8 earthquake taking place at Elazig and Malatya on 24th January.
Even through this game has been only fixture to be postpone in this week at Super League, it is been so since its only side from affected area while TFF did postpone all games located in this area in lower leagues. Due of mental condition but even more possibility of high after-shocks and whole safety it was right decision. Whole this conversation did start from Yeni Malatyaspor CEO Adil Gevrek statement that their didnt request for postponement and was taken place due of Trabzonspor comfortability, with Fenerbahce later making similar statement clearly being affected from Gevrek one. With looking at this case, in neutral position postponement of game looks to be right decision and been provided purely for safety reasons. Therefore, it does lead questions regarding Gevrek outburst and reason for this statement, especially when Yeni Malatyaspor as side would on other side want to postpone game for this earthquake. It does look there is strange questions and maybe their would become clear.
Postponement of the game is seen to be naturally decision but reactions to it are being dubious. It does look like Turkish football events, especially outside field, carry on surprising us.

Coachless Besiktas has lost to highly motivated Goztepe.
With Goztepe having its 1st game at its new constructed stadium provided them strong additional motivating during Super League 19th week game against coachless Besiktas with 2:1 scoreline with also providing high attacking game.
Without doubt issues which Besiktas is going through right now with sacking its coach Abdullah Avci on 24th January and Goztepe playing its 1st game in its new stadium with very strong supporters providing motivation did leave direct impact to storyline of this game. It was expected for Besiktas to have very difficult game since its does showed poor performances since start of 2020 and with Avci being sacked would also meant that team couldnt provide high level preparation. With also possibility that Sivasspor could win against Rizespor on 27th January, Besiktas could end this week with 13 points behind them which would reduce their chances for league title even more. Besiktas in all fairness, did aim to show good game from players but with circumstances which game being played it needs to be admitted that Besiktas did have low chances to get good result.
Goztepe on their own part as been mentioned did have extra motivation with playing 1st game at new stadium which in addition did led to strong support from fans. With Goztepe also showing good performances in recent week led the to get deserved win.
Besiktas is seriously at very difficult condition and whoever would become coach for them next week would have difficult task to motivate players as it getting further from top place.
Galatasaray carries on improving with their performance at field
Galatasaray carries on getting good result following 2:0 win during Super League 19th week game against Konyaspor with providing much more organised performance compare to 1st half of the season.
It could be argued that Konyaspor is not being strong opponent, in all respect to them, for Galatasaray part at title race and also opponent specifically showing poor performance could be argued if this game could not be seen as good reference. But it needs to be noted that Galatasaray regardless of opponent is showing much better performance on the field thanks to new signings, Falcao and Akbaba also recovering from chances. In similar manner, we are seeing players who start creating chances with faster tempo compare to 1st half. All of this factors without doubt did provide for team improvement and started showing much more pace. Still, as been noted on previous weeks Galatasaray still does look to be side which needs to improve as it does play with weaker side, which does provide team to get into motivation as it would be playing against Kayserispor during next week. Another positive not for Emre Akbaba and Radamel Falcao tend to show great partnership at attack.
Konyaspor meanwhile did aim to provide once again its defensive performance against Galatasaray, but it needed to be noted that it didnt provide that in great manner as all conceded goals did come from defense mistake. Side does need to aim to show more brave game if it wants to stay in league.
Galatasaray did get win from opponent which are not in great good form but most important aspect for side is been for them to improve way their performing on the field with some changes at squad.
Fenerbahce has shown its best game against Basaksehirspor.
Without doubt, Fenerbahce did provide one of its best performances during this season with showing tempo and control of the game without allowing Basaksehirspor to do anything during Super League 19th week game.
Fenerbahce did come out with high focus to show very attacking game not allowing their opponents to get into game physically and mentally with having high amount of chances during 1st half and didnt allow Basaksehirspor to get out from its half of field, forget about creating chances. With overexeration Fenerbahce did show performance of team which is fighting for league title and send strong message to sides at title race, especially to leaders Sivasspor and also Trabzonspor with who it would be meeting next week. Here is question if Fenerbahce would be able to show such high level performance until end of the season or would it happen occassionally, still high level performance from Fenerbahce would provide strong motivation and confidence for upcoming games especially to Trabzonspor. It needs to also add Max Kruse did show great performance and this would be extra bonus for title race to side.
Fenerbahce showed very good performance against Basaksehirspor and did show what is capable of when showing its best football.

Fenerbahce has dominated game against Basaksehirspor.
Fenerbahce has won an important game against Basaksehirspor with 2:0 scoreline with dominating whole game and not allowing its opponent not only creating chances much but even not taking breath with its pressure.
Even through Fenerbahce did find goals during latest stages of the game with Max Kruse and Vedat Muriqi finding 2 goals, it has provided disciplined and high level pressure towards Basaksehirspor creating dangerous chances with looking high chances. Without doubt Fenerbahce did provide its best performance during last 2 years and led for Basaksehirspor not being to provide any solutions for this pressure both in defence and especially during attack performance. In fact one of the main reasons for Fenerbahce not getting win with much more confident outcome been once good performance of Mert Gunok who is generally showing. What is more important that apart with game its shown, Fenerbahce mentally been at the game always looking of chance and from face expressions from players it was seen that only focus on their mind. With Trabzonspor game against Yeni Malatyaspor being postponed due of earthquake, Fenerbahce would end week at 2nd place and does provide that it would be fighting for league title both mentally and physically.
Basaksehirspor meanwhile did show during this game that it is incapable to provide strong performance as side when its under pressure which also been present last season. Basaksehirspor towards end of the season will have games like this and it needs to solve this issue if it wants title.
Fenerbahce provided incredible pressure and did everything to win game and deserved this win for 100% without doubt.
Besiktas would be having tough game against Goztepe without head coach.
Besiktas will be meeting against pretty in-form Goztepe during Super League 19th week game after it has sacked its head coach Abdullah Avci and hence would come out to important games in such unexpected development.
Even through there was expectation for sacking for Abdullah Avci due of poor results in recent weeks and also in general during this season it was expected but it could be questionable how it was tactically smart action to do prior to Goztepe game as literally it didnt train to the game without him being in the post and hence this could lead to some unexpected poor performance. It would be reasonable to expect that Besiktas would be providing similar tactical as it shown with Avci during this game as it was how team has been preparing without doubt. Therefore, Goztepe in fact would have good opportunity to use this crises which Besiktas is at for its own advantage when taking account it would be also be their 1st game at new stadium which by itself would provide additional confidence and motivation to the game.
Therefore, this would be pretty tough game for Besiktas with its head coach being sacked just less then 48 hours prior to game and mentally it would be pretty tough game for players without doubt.
Galatasaray are favourites against Konyaspor.
Galatasaray without doubt would be aiming to carry on its positive performance which it is showing in 2020 with difficult aim for fight for league title as it would be playing against pretty poor form Konyaspor.
Even taking account that Galatasaray are not showing great performances and does slighly struggle to get comfortable wins, it would be coming out against Konyaspor as strong favourites as their opponents are really showing poor performances, with losing games and struggling to win games, even through it did win last week. Galatasaray without doubt would be mainly aiming to provide controllable game with providing strong attacking game as with Saracchi which does provide of providing good croses into dangerous zones could help both Emre Akbaba and Radamel Falcao into getting towards good chances with finding great strong positions to find goals. Konyaspor on their part without doubt did gain some motivation from last week win and raise confidence but with level of teams and quality does put Galatasaray to come out as favourites which could lead for them to get result their seek for.
Galatasaray does come out as favourites and could lead to get comfortable score which would help with motivation.

Trabzonspor performance against Denizlispor provided some worrying signs.
Trabzonspor has qualified to Turkish Cup quarter-final stage where it would be meeting with Erzurumspor, but it did so through difficult way as after winning 1st leg with 2:0 scoreline, it did lose 2nd leg with same scoreline but managed to get 4:2 scoreline from penalties.
This game in same time has been 1st game for Huseyin Cimsir in away game and even through his performance has been praised prior to this game, same could not be stated for this Denizlispor game. In same as it would not be strong reference to look into previous 2 games, it would be unfair to take this away game as reference point for all away games for Trazonspor but one thing is certain especially this season away games are being tough. Trabzonspor either from 1st leg game result or something else didnt provide strong concentration towards game in beginning which led them to concede goals on early moments. Good news for Trabzonspor without doubt has been for them to at least balance game and bring game into penalties where it has used calmness especially of Erce Kardesler and got into quarter-final of competition.
Trabzonspor didnt provide good start of the game and its new coach Huseyin Cimsir needs to take some notes from such performance as we enter to important games this season.
Galatasaray is showing some improvement right now.
It needs to be noted that Galatasaray is still not providing performance which has been expected from them during this season but it does show direction towards right way as it has shown 2:1 win against Rizespor.
Galatasaray to some extend didnt show perfect domination but as game been got into 1:1 scoreline, side did show some attitude looking for 2nd goal which it did get from help of Mario Lemina and does regain its fighting spirit with current players, including new comers, does realise aims of this team for rest of the season, factor which seemed to be lacking during 1st half games. Now, Galatasaray did been drawn to Alanyaspor during quarter-final stage in the tournament which certainly would provide some serious issues to team as their are being in good form for sure and are at title race for now. Galatasaray does need to be staying focussed for upcoming games as it did during this game, as its far-fetched aim for double could not be out of reach from one less during this season for sure, and some difficult tasks would be coming out for them.
Galatasaray are improving as side both physically and mentally but it needs to carry on like that in upcoming weeks also for sure.
Both Basaksehirspor and Fenerbahce cant afford to lose.
Without doubt, most important game during Super League 19th week would be between Fenerbahce and Basaksehirspor, as former side would be starting back-to-back games with outcome having direct role of their title contention.
Fenerbahce it needs to be noted did start 2020 in good note, and even through its performance could be questioned it is getting results and does show character which it would be needed against Basaksehirspor. With excluding Turkish Cup surprising relegation from Kirklarispor, it didnt lose game since 3rd week of Super League and only side to be at Europa League and has opportunity to raise point difference against Fenerbahce to 4 points, hence it would be taking this game seriously. With so much in risks, this game to some extend is being more than for 6 points as loser might have strong impact to its title aim both mentally and in standings. There is possibility as been seen lately in such game for both sides to play to not lose game, but with draw not also being good outcome for both sides could lead them also providing highly attacking game.
Game itself might not specifically high level performance but it would be with high tension with so much in stake for sure.
