Fenerbahce has provided poor performance at the time when it looked that things were going well for them.
Fenerbahce has lost to Kayserispor with 1:0 scoreline during Super League 21st week game with providing pretty poor game not having an upper hand at any moment of the game and hence showing that despite of winning last 2 games, Istanbul club still has some issues and are in danger for rest of the season.
Fenerbahce didnt manage to show any good game during Kayserispor game and has been pretty disorganised and making some mistakes at defence during whole game that it could be even stated that it was lucky to end game with only conceding 1 goal. Another interesting aspect of Fenerbahce, which could be connected mainly due of lack of concentration, is for high number of needless cards which it has recieved during whole game which has led for Roberto Soldado to recieve red card and leaving team without any attackers for 2nd half of the game. It does look that as whole structurally Fenerbahce had issue as whole team had trouble at getting at the game with full concentration and whole team, apart of Volkan Demirel to some extend, has made some simple mistakes. Even if it has been played 2nd half with 10 men and for most part of the half has provided defensive game, it didnt have strong organised counter-attack especially when taking that it got very good chance for counter-attack in one moment but has killed position itself by providing slow action and later passing losing possession of the ball. It needs to be remembered that Fenerbahce is still close to relegation zone as it is only 3 points behind Ankaragucu who are at 16th place. But it needs to raise performance for Zenit game at Europa League for sure now.
Even through it could be argued that Kayserispor didnt provide great game, it has been more focussed to the game and had some belief and plan and has got its performance paid with nice goal from Artem Kravets in 87th minute and got important 3 points for them.
Fenerbahce unfortunately for them, has provided similar performance as it did in 1st half of the season and it needs to be reminded that it still has scare of being relegated at the end of the season.
Akhisarspor wants to defend its Turkish Cup title.
Despite of poor performance at the Super League where it currently is located at the last place, Akhisarspor has shown whole concentration and focus to the Turkish Cup quarter-final 1st leg game against Kasimpasa which it has won with 3:1 scoreline.
It is clear from this performance that Akhisarspor has all intentions to defend its Turkish Cup which it has won in surprising manner last season and two goals from Sokol Cikalleshi at the end of 1st half and later start of 2nd half has provided right performance and focus at the team. With also taking account that team doesnt have good season at Super League even through club would aim to do everything to stay at the league during this season, it didnt put Turkish Cup into 2nd plan and as has showed at the game yesterday has provided right focus. Only issue which could be stated is for conceding goal at the last minute of the game which has kept Kasimpasa chances alive for 2nd leg game at its home ground and getting an away game. Kasimpasa did show its performance which it seems to show during 2019 as it has started year in very poor form compare to how it entered to this year as contenters for title.
Akhisarspor has shown that it high aims for Turkish Cup this season and would aim to carry on high level performance during 2nd leg for sure as it aims to defend title and Kasimpasa needs to improve its performance in 2nd leg.
Besiktas would be aiming to show similar game against Bursaspor as it did last week.
Besiktas would be playing against Bursaspor during Super League 21st week game, at the game whose main focus without doubt would be given towards Shinji Kagawa who has scored 2 goals within 8 minutes after substitution against Antalyaspor.
Without doubt with winning last week game against Antalyaspor with impressive scoreline of 6:2, even through performance wise it didnt get high praises, team would be coming out with high motivation and would aim to show great game even through Bursaspor might not allow for such score to appear again. In overall, Besiktas among Shinji Kagawa has gained high belief and to some extend could once again aim for high spots at the league even through it cant lose much points to get to the Champions League spot for next season but it does look like team has all beliefs it can achieve that. Bursaspor does provide some good performance against big clubs during this season so this game will not be an easy one for Besiktas as it would aim to carry on this good performance with strong self-belief also on their side but Besiktas would be coming out as favourite for sure.
Besiktas would be aiming to show similar performance as it did against Antalyaspor at its home ground and so would Shinji Kagawa but Bursaspor would do its best to provide fighting spirit against them.
