Fenerbahce did show improvement with performance but didnt get win
Fenerbahce did manage to show some improvement during Super League 8th week game against Basaksehirspor as it has managed to prevent its opponent to be very effective at defence but still has an issue with scoring goals.
It was clear that team was coming out to the game with an aim to get a win due of position which club is at and also other internal issues which it is right now and has been aiming to carry on its momentum which it gathered from Spartak Trnava game. Even through Basaksehirspor has controlled ball even more, it was Fenerbahce which was getting into high amount of the chances of the game. Stating that it needs to be noted that Basaksehirspor did score goal but was disallowed due of mistaken decision by referee during the period when VAR connection has been dissapeared for 5 minutes and 40 seconds and all videos were not available. Therefore, to some extend Fenerbahce has been "lucky" as this goal could lead into more crises during national team break and raise point difference with league leaders to 10 points. Fenerbahce as been stated did improve performance but it still needs to work on during national team break to get winning streak after national team break as some players are behind level of performance which is expected from them.
Fenerbahce does have difficult period during this national team break including factor that future of its head coach Phillip Cocu is not even 100% certain right now.
Besiktas losing speed due of big average age of the team.
Even through Besiktas has been playing with 10 men for around an hour against Konyaspor during Super League 8th week, it was one who has lost 3 points as it did enter to last 10 minutes with 2:1 scoreline.
In all honesty, both teams has felt that their had lost 3 points as Konyaspor did have some control of the game prior to 1:1 and has also failed to convert penalty kick by Yatabare who scored from spot before during game. It needs to be mentioned however that old age of the players at Besiktas start providing big problems at the side since it has lost its speed which was visible in previous years and playing more than 1 game in a week and in yesterday case having one less man did provide high amount of issues. Stating that it needs to be noted that team did show great fight back with finding 2 goals within 2 minutes and has managed to win game if it didnt concede simple from Hurtado, as Gokhan Gonul did save goal from his header just moment before that. Apart of high average age of the team, Besiktas continues to pay prices of strong attackers who even through did score yesterday are uncapable to do so frequently and more difficult opponents. Besiktas is also among teams who needs some works to be done during national team break.
Besiktas did show good performance in some moments of the game which did bring comeback but as been stated in overall it did lose its speed and this is mainly due of old players at the team.
Trabzonspor performance does provide optimism for this season.
Trabzonspor performance during this season, even through it does have its ups and downs, does show some promising aspects as it has win Akhisarspor with 3:1 scoreline during 8th week game.
Trabzonspor has shown a great focus towards game especially after bad news of team head coach
Unal Karaman mother passing away which has led for him not to join game. His team did manage to control game and found goals, especially from great free kick from Jose Sosa, and with taking account that Akhisarspor especially looked tired from Standard Liege has turned this into their own advantage without problem. This performance in overall does keep Trabzonspor some opportunity to be at title race as it right now 5 points behind league leaders with almost 1/4 of the league being completed. Without doubt, during national team break the main focus is to improve this performance and become more confident team during its games as season would become more tough for them as it progresses.Willingness of the players at showing top performance surely would keep everyone involved at team very satisfied.
There are good reasons for Trabzonspor fans to look forward for upcoming games as it does manage to show top level performance and as season progresses could raise its aims and targets at the league.
