What happened in Turkish football today? 10/10/2018

Turkey game against Bosnia would be good test prior to game against Russia.

Due of being free during 3rd week games at the Nations League in its group, Turkey would be having international friendly game against Bosnia and Herzegovina who also have bye game this week.

Taking account that both sides are both at the League B and also Bosnia and Herzegovina as a side are similar Turkey it would be very effective game to check team capacity prior to Russia who are turning out to be biggest opponent for them at this group. It needs to be stated that performance against Sweden during last month as team did show good performance and got great comeback of the game, did provide motivation and confidence and most important has provided signs that team could be improving for the future games. This game would be able hence to check current condition of the side prior to Russia as been stated and would be very likely that Turkish National Team head coach Mircea Lucescu would introduce side which would be playing also as starting 11 against Russia on 14th October. In addition, to that it is expected that he would start game with some youngsters at the squad as Lucescu does aim to reduce average age of the national team and build team for future. Needless to say its important for a team to win game to keep its mood and confidence high against Russia.

This game would be good test for Turkey and hence players would be aiming to show its best performance towards Mircea Lucescu without doubt.

Ali Koc has stated that their is operation at the team against Cocu from loyals to previous administration.

Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc during his statements at club's channel, which was without doubt most awaited in today's sports media has once again stated that he doesnt plan to end contract with club head coach Phillip Cocu at least until mid-season break.

The main focus however in his conversation has been led that their are number of people inside the club who seems to be going against Phillip Cocu at the old technical staff including ones who has stayed from Aykut Kocaman. This statement without doubt has been main focussed as he states that number of people involved at club from past administration dont want Fenerbahce to succeed and has prevented and provided wrong information about Cocu. In business and administratively this without doubt an unethical actions and quite naturally would lead to changes from Ali Koc at club. Similar manner, even through not in same calibre, similar behaviour has been done by players which been taken out of squad namely Volkan Demirel, Nabil Dirar and Aatif Chachehouhue who has provided lots of criticism towads technical staff. Quite naturally, this events has led Ali Koc to provide some decisions as he saw that this movement would prevent team to move forward in vision their hope. Ali Koc did state that full support is given to Phillip Cocu and Damien Comolli meanwhile.

Therefore, the main focus would be by team to move forward and reach aim as this season progresses with Phillip Cocu and Comolli for now at least.

Trabzonspor is showing pretty good performance compare to previous seasons.

It needs to be noted that Trabzonspor has provided great start of the season compare to previous season and despite of some poor unexpected results does find themselves 5 points behind league leaders.

With this performance there has been expectation for 1st time for long time now that team could provide title race this season and it needs to be stated that it is capable to do so. It is hard to be honest to expect title from them due of still some issues at the team and would not be big surprise if their would be out of race with 10 weeks left until end of the season, but current performance does provide that needed performance to fight for top. Players does seem to have good understanding and attackers does seem to be finding amount of goals such as Hugo Rodallega and Burak Yilmaz and hence showing much better performance compare to other big players at the front. It also needs to be stated that it has beaten Galatasaray with 4:0 scoreline, and even through Galatasaray has provided so far its worst game in that meeting, Trabzonspor winning with that scoreline is great achievement. The team despite of all internal issues has strong motivation and confidence and with such factors is expected to carry on showing similar performance this season.

It is hard to state how it would end season for now, but their are good reasons for team supporters to look forward for rest of the season without doubt.
