What happened in Turkish football today? 12/10/2018

Turkey only lacked goals against Bosnia.

Turkey did manage to provide good performance against Bosnia and Herzegovina during international friendly game but has failed to find goal despite of dominating game from start to end.

It needs to be admitted that in overall Turkey did provide some positive performance during game with controlling game and now allowing Bosnia to show any attacking performance at their field and has found high number of the chances especially during 2nd half. However, the factor it didnt manage to find goal/s with having good players at the field such as Hakan Calhanoglu, Cenk Tosun and Enes Unal does raise some questions about performance of the attackers and Turkey would need to win game against Russia on 14th October if it still aims to end their group at top position. However, slowly the vision which was saw from Mircea Lucescu with its younger players starting getting there and it start showing games which could provide some good hopes for upcoming qualifiers and also major tournmanets in upcoming season. The team organisation without doubt has improved at the side and their started dominating games without allowing its opponents to get into the control of the side.

Without doubt, this performance would be crucial during game against Russia during next Nations League game as Turkey needs to win 2 games and get to League A and also play-off round for Euro 2020 spot at Nations League.

Galatasaray would go to CAS on 15th October for UEFA decision to go through FFP deal once again.

Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz has announced that club would be going towards CAS regardless what kind of decision would be given towards revision of deal which was made between club and UEFA of FFP deal.

Galatasaray CEO did sound pretty optimistic that changes would not be done by the UEFA but seems to be felt uncomfortable for this uncertainty which was raised and seems to be unhappy with UEFA even considered to go through revision as he has stated that club would go to CAS regardless how events would be developing by and would provide its case on 15th October. Meanwhile, it is been reported that CAS needs to await in what circumstances this complaint would be done as technically speaking UEFA is not doing anything wrong and does everything in its obligation taking account that it is uncertain and possibly has recieved complaint from someone. If Galatasaray is certain that decision will not be changed than technically there is no strong reason to go for CAS, but it does look like club would take this case in sign of defending its interests very likely seeing this decision unfair. How this would be developed would become clear in upcoming weeks for sure.

Galatasaray does have reasons to defend themselves with seeing this decision by UEFA unrelated but it does look to be unnecessarily to go to CAS.

Santos are interested to transfer Besiktas player Vagner Love.

Santos are interested to transfer Besiktas player Vagner Love during this mid-season transfer window as both sides and player seems to be unhappy to be at current state.

Even through Vagner Love being one of the few forward players available at Besiktas disposal, players performance at the team from last season has been pretty unsatisfactorily due of low amount of goals find player and hence it has decided to sell him even back on summer transfer window but didnt manage to do so. It is reported that Santos interest is pretty strong and it aims to start transfer talks with Besiktas in pretty soon and aims to make deal at short period as possible between sides. With Vagner Love also willing to leave team it does look like his future at club are pretty numbered. Only issue which can come up is for Besiktas to request high amount of transfer fee due of FFP issues which all clubs have.

Negotiations would be taking place between sides in upcoming months but it does look like that Love could leave to Santos in January.
