What happened in Turkish football today? 01/10/2018

Phillip Cocu days at Fenerbahce are numbered

Fenerbahce has started in pretty dissapointing way this season and has carried on this performance against Rizespor during Super League 7th week losing to them with shocking score of 3:0.

Apart of losing to team which has won its 1st game during this season, it also didnt provide any performance and fighting spirit during game and could be comfortably sadly stated that with comparison to last season it has went backwards. Quite naturally all blame has been thrown towards Fenerbahce head coach Phillip Cocu which seems to have big issue at understanding league and his players. It does look like his day at the team are numbered and with difficult schedule of this week which includes Europa League game against Spartak Trnava this week and also 8th week at Super League against Basaksehirspor would likely mean that he would stay at the team for this week. But with international team break coming up next week, their would be strong possibility of him to leave team. Their are reports that Ali Koc has also asked for Cocu to leave his position following last night game but he has refused this suggestion and has decided to stay at the team. Phillip Cocu popularity at the team is getting lesser and lesser and this could lead to big circumstances at the team in upcoming weeks.

Fenerbahce head coach Phillip Cocu would have pretty difficult period in upcoming 2 weeks and time would show how this period would be managed by the team and head coach.

Kasimpasa has appointed Mustafa Denizli after sacking Kemal Ozdes.

Kasimpasa has made a deal to appoint Mustafa Denizli as club's new head coach in same day as it has sacked contract with Kemal Ozdes due of misunderstanding with him and administration at the team.

Kasimpasa has been only team to start with 100% after 4 weeks of the game but it has continued this suceesful start of the season with losing 3 games back to back with latest game being against Trabzonspor as it was winning game with 2:0 scoreline. Quite naturally, Kasimpasa has shown pretty poor performance during 2nd half of the game and has been heavily criticised for such performance by the administrative team which could be main reason for misunderstanding between sides.
Kasimpasa surprisingly enough has managed to make deal with Mustafa Denizli within short time getting one of the most experienced Turkish coaches whose appointment could help team to get into top level performance once again for sure and could move team forward in upcoming weeks following poor performance last 3 games.

Mustafa Denizli if manages to get into similar performance as soon as possible then he would be able also to help team to fight for top positions at this unpredictable season so far.

Metin Ozdilek  was officially announced as Erzurumspor head coach.

Erzurumspor has officially made an signing ceremony for club's new head coach Mehmet Ozdilek who would be joining team which is currently at last place and didnt manage to win game and does have pretty difficult task at pushing team forward with this start.

During signing ceremony, Metin Ozdilek did identify that he has difficult task and even through he does have good squad some of the players are not showing their best game which could provide some issues with their performances naturally. Stating that, he believes that he didnt move team forward. During his coaching career, Ozdilek has been mainly working with those teams which are around relegation zone and since this teams does need different motivation and preparations, he would be among best coaches who is available to provide needed focus and performance from Erzurumspor and with him joining earlier in this season could help him to go forward as team and dont push themselves out of the league in their season which their had started with much higher hopes.

Mehmet Ozdilek does have difficult job with this side but he can achieve if he would be able to get maximum performance from them in upcoming games.
