Galatasaray wins Karabukspor with last second goal by Eren Derdiyok.
Last second goal scored by Eren Derdiyok has brought 3 points from the opening game at the Super League for Galatasaray against Karabukspor in the game where Galatasaray has been much weaker side and had problems at creating dangerous chances.
In fact, Karabukspor using an advantage of Galatasaray playing without its supporters at its stadium tried to get a win and has created many chances during game. However, the team was lacking a good last touches and has conceded around 2-3 chances which in normal circumstances should be scored. Galatasaray didnt provide at game at all good performance and it did look that the best it could aim for is draw. It had trouble at controlling game and once again probably the main reason Galatasaray got this win was not goal by Eren Derdiyok but performance of goalkeeper Fernando Muslera who during the game did some very important saves and has denied Karabukspor at finding goals. It is important however to get a win by playing very badly as it would raise its motivation and focus for upcoming weeks.
Karabukspor meanwhile didnt deserve this loss as it was one who was dominating game and which did waste number of dangerous chances or wasnt allowed by once against incredible performance by Muslera. However, Karabukspor did provide good image to its game and now need just to improve its attacking performance.
Galatasaray has got 3 points with pretty poor performance but did raise motivation for upcoming weeks as it is aiming for league title this season.
Fenerbahce head coach Advocaat needs time to get used to the Super League.
First experience for Dick Advocaat at the Super League didnt go as well as he had planned as the team has lost to one of the biggest tough opponents to the Fenerbahce, Basaksehirspor. Istanbul derby has ended with 1:0 scoreline for Basaksehirspor.
Basaksehirspor has played into a tactic where it clearly has aimed to score a goal as soon as possible and defend that lead. This was obviously its aim as prior to Mossano goal at the 3rd minute, Basaksehirspor was arleady attacking actively at Fenerbahce goal, including very good position by Edin Visca minute before the goal. Fenerbahce to some extend has shown very similar football it tends to show against Basaksehirspor at their stadium in last years, which is at trying to find positions but having big problems at providing good attacks. As been mentioned earlier, Fenerbahce head coach Dick Advocaat has good squad but in same time useful experience as he would see many games similar to this at the Super League. Its just question if this adaptation period for Dick Advocaat would go as smoothly or team would have big issues during the season.
Fenerbahce almost has qualified to the Europa League after winning Grasshoppers play-off round 1st leg game which means team now can focus into Kayserispor and try to find solutions on how to get positive result from that game.
Alessandro Talisca will be big use for Besiktas.
Besiktas has made an agreement with the Benfica player Alessandro Talisca for his transfer which suppose to solve issue of the attacking and make a team more stable and confident at the midfield area especially taking account that it would play at the Champions League this season.
It is known that Besiktas administrators and also club player Ricardo Quaresma did a good job at convincing Talisca to join the team emphasising the great atmosphere at the team and underlying the fact that it has high targets at the Champions League. Talisca is known to be effecive and fast players and could fill space left from Jose Sosa even through not having same kind of quality he can control ball great and start attacks. Right now team does have issue at the attacking midfielder position and hence with good control of ball and possibly great assists he would play an important role to push team ahead. It does look that this transfer would allow Talisca to show his skills to rest of Europe through Champions League, skills which Besiktas also needs for this season.
It is expected that he would official sign contract within 24 hours and would push team ahead for defence of its league title.
