Dick Advocaat will play against Grasshoppers after 2 days arriving to Istanbul
Fenerbahce newly appointed head coach Dick Advocaat will play his first game as being club's head coach next day signing contract and game will be against Grasshoppers at the Europa League play-off round 1st leg game. It would surely would be hard for Dick Advocaat to come at the new team and play very important game straight away.
Dick Advocaat had only two days to become familiar with a team and does have some ideas what kind of football would be played stating that he would use 4-3-3 formation at the game tomorrow. It is good for him and for a team that at least at the normal circumstances Grasshoppers is weaker team and therefore it is very unlikely that team would recieve very negative scoreline from the game tomorrow especially taking account that it will be played at home. So if things go wrong or it doesnt play good football there would be chance to solve issues at the 2nd leg without having too much risk after tomorrow game. This is surely very important game for Dick Advocaat to check his new team and check players capabilities who would surely try to show their best football to new coach.
Fenerbahce does come out as favourite but the factor that Advocaat not familiar with a team could give small chance for Grasshoppers to make unexpected result.
Basaksehirspor has tough job against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Basaksehirspor has got most toughest opponent among Turkish teams at the Europa League play-off round as it would be playing against Shakhtar Donetsk 1st leg at home. Basaksehirspor would certainly look for getting advantage scoreline as game in Ukraine next week could be pretty tough one.
Basaksehirspor only positive thing from the game could be seen as for Mircea Lucescu leaving Ukrainian side at the end of the last season which could mean that Ukrainian team could become a bit weaker team with Paulo Fonseca still not being used to team entirely. However, in the sense of the squad Shakhtar Donetsk has a good players who has good experience at the European football and being eliminated from Champions League would like to get to group stage of Europa League. The best football which could be played by Basaksehirspor is to approach to game without fear and attempt to bring similar football game which it did against big 4 teams in the Turkey. Basaksehirspor has small chance to get pass and get good result for 1st leg but when game starts it needs to approach in realistic manner and be aware of their capabilities.
Shakhtar Donetsk does have good record against Turkish side and would surely would come out to game with confidence and this another factor which Basaksehirspor should be aware.
Osmanlispor needs to believe that it can win Midtjylland.
Osmanlispor is right now just one step behind of joining of Europa League group stage as it would be playing agaisnt Midtjylland at Europa League play-off round at away and with good experience and getting so far during qualifiers it would believe to its strength.
It needs to be stated that even if Osmanlispor did recieve relatively weak opponent, this is still one of the toughest opponents it got so far in competitions and does come first time as not favourite to get to the next stage. However, nice performance so far at the tournament does bring high hope to the team and it would provide very focussed game believing at its strengh and capabilities. Most imprortant for them is do not show any fear towards their opponents and provide highly focussed football as game progresses. It needs to enjoy itself at the game and possibly make surprising result.
Midtjelland is tough opponent but their can be beaten if Osmanlispor can play its best football and it needs to be aware of that.
