Besiktas doesnt look in same level as it did last season.
As being Super League winners of 2015-16 season, Besiktas could be seen slightly more favourite to win the Super Cup as statistically league title holders tend to provide better perfromance at the Super Cup. However, in tomorrow's game situation might not be that simple.
Besiktas mainly has lost one its main players who has provided them league title last season with high amount of goals, which is namely Mario Gomez. Therefore, one of the main questions from Besiktas is how it would be able to provide an attacking-wise play without Mario Gomez and how his replacements namely Oguzhan Ozyakup would perform at the important game against Galatasaray.
There is an image which been provided by club that with how summer transfer window went for a team that at the beginning of the season might see not as good performance despite of the fact that except Gomez is mainly same squad it has last season.
However, Besiktas would like to win Super Cup taking account its been played on 2nd anniversary of the death of its very respectful CEO Suleyman Seba. Its hard to predict those games beforehand but there is view that Besiktas is not as strong as it was last season.
Galatasaray does look to be better team compare to last season.
In other side, Galatasaray does look to be stronger side compare to its very poor performance of the last season which has ended with obtaining Turkish Cup and hence reduce its chances to recieve 2-year ban from European tournaments.
Galatasaray during pre-season training sessions and transfers does provide much stronger side as been mentioned by CEO of team Dursun Ozbek himself prior to the game. It does look as a team its now more focussed into the winning games compare to last season with the head coach Jan Olde Riekerink who has bigger aims right now in upcoming season and what best to show themselves to their opponents by winning Super Cup game against last season league title holders. It will provide all focus at playing more attacking and brave football which seemed to be missing last season. Galatasaray has also become stronger as a team with transfers such as Serdar Aziz and Tolga Cigerci, latter one is expected to play tomorrow.
Galatasaray are fully focussed to win this game and have started season with a high note and morale with a win against one of its biggest rivals in Turkey.
Vitor Pereira demands 4 million euro compensation from Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce situation with its head coach Vitor Pereira, meanwhile, continues staying at the top of news in the Turkish sports media with latest news that Pereira demands at least 4 million euro compensation if he would be fired.
Fenerbahce tries to make a deal with 2 million euro but it does look it would be extremely difficult for a team to send him from club with such an amount. Pereira states that if there were problems back in June he would leave himself but right now it is difficult for him to find new club and to some extend demands rightly for compensation. Meanwhile, there are rumours that Fenerbahce is arleady looking for new head coach with planning to have negotiations with Manuel Pellegrini, Guus Hiddink among others. It doesnt look that it would be able to find new coach, if Pereira fired, for Europa League play-off round 1st leg game against Grasshoppers.
It does look like Pereira quite psychologically, both in administration, players and Pereira himself has arleady left team but without agreement of condition of his leaving he still trains team in daily basis.
