What happened in Turkish football today? 06.04.2016

Emre Gural and Eskisehirspor provide conflicting stories of his termination of contract.

Eskisehirspor player Emre Gural has terminated contract with his club due of argument that club didnt pay him requested salary despite of contacting them in duration of 1 month. As soon as he has terminated both sides has begun making conflicting statements about this issue.

Both sides blame other side that their tried to contact each other to find solution to this issue but didnt get in touch. Eskisehirspor has stated that Emre Gural plays popularity and victim role to ease himself to get transferred to Galatasaray, who are known to be interested with him for long time.
Eskisehirspor as most of the club at the relegation area are having serious economical problems and it tried to solve following issue, according to team, with compromise. Unfortunately, it is hard to analyse following news in healthy manner as everyone says different thing and team being not in big 4 and the Turkish media didnt cover this news much for us to have enough information. However, Emre Gural is in an important player to team who tries to stay at the league for next season and hence it is strange for Eskisehirspor having any reason to get rid of Emre Gural at this stage in the league.

Emre Gural states that he wont be playing for any team until summer and will rest with his family even through there is strong rumours that Galatasaray has arleady started negotiations with a player.

Lazar Markovic style of play leads him to high number of  injuries in Turkey.

Fenerbahce player Lazar Markovic, who was loaned with huge aims and promises to the team with intention to sign him for longer term later, didnt find lots of gameplay due of recieving lots of injuries, and now it became clear that he has completed this season due of current injury.

Fenerbahce does not plan to sign him this summer due of recieving lots of injuries in duration of the season despite of fact that when he does play he provides lots of advantages to the team. One of the reason of him being so injured with the league in Turkey being physical and too much kicks done to the legs of opponent (rather than ball). With Markovic being fast-paced player needing free space and going fast into attacks, his opponents find it hard to stop him within rules which leads him to be knocked down and get injured. Lazar Markovic is great player which he showed here and previously but his style of game provides damages to him and club in Turkey.

Lazar Markovic is very likely to leave back to Liverpool in summer where Klopp awaits him and has plans for him in future in Premier League.

Ending season at Vodafone Arena has also disadvantages to Besiktas.

Besiktas will finally move to its new stadium and play its first game against Bursaspor on 11th April, however this move as seen as advantage might in fact turn as disadvantage. Teams needs to get used to the new field and stadiums even if its seen as their homes and it might bring some unexpected results at the end of the season.

Vodafone Arena will surely mark lots of histories in the team future but playing 3 games at the end of the season where players might not be used to stadium atmosphere might bring some changes. There were talks in the media that even Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes didnt look forward to idea to end season at Vodafone Arena due of reasons discussed here. Besiktas CEO Fikret Orman has used all of the construction especially in past weeks as a marketing tool and by this alone this decision to end season here was made however if bad results would come people will talk about how Besiktas has lost league title once again at the last weeks of league rather than about Vodafone Arena.

Game with Bursaspor therefore apart of having importance to the league is also important in this area, which is to see how team reacts in new field and atmosphere.
