What happened in Turkish football today? 23.04.2016

Besiktas has gained 1 crucial point against Akhisar Belediyespor as title race is getting exciting.

Turkish Super League 30th week game between Akhisar Belediyespor and Besiktas was among the best games at this season so far and with game finishing with 3:3 scoreline, it had also affected directly to the title race.

Besiktas was coming out to the game with only aim of winning it and it was visible from the first whistle as after several attacks Besiktas player Mario Gomez has scored 1st goal. In fact, 1st half of the game was not very enjoyable with both teams not providing high level of football with Akhisar Belediyespor having trouble to organise attacks. However, Hugo Rodallega goal at the end of the first half has directly affected to the 2nd half tempo. The both teams with full focus at winning game has provided an attacking football which led to 4 goals altogether in 45 minutes. The key moment of the game meanwhile was for sure Akhisar Belediyespor shot from half of the Besiktas side by Soner to the empty goal which had hit to upper post. If that goal game came would get 4:2 scoreline and with around 5 minutes left Besiktas would get a loss which directly would affect title race it has against Fenerbahce.

With taking this into account Besiktas has gained 1 point which is very important for them rather than losing 2 points and taking account that Fenerbahce wins all of the games, Besiktas advantage has only 1 game advantage. It was seen by many as game which would charecterise rest of the season and it surely did. It needs to be remembered that Besiktas has very tough games in last 4 games at the league.

Akhisar Belediyespor has provided a great 2nd half and with this play had deserved win more compare to Besiktas but Soner post at the end of the 2nd half has affected directly to the scoreline as with return Besiktas player Cenk Tosun scored a goal. Hugo Rodallega is surely man of the game with hat-trick at the game.

Fenerbahce is a favourite at the crucial Trabzonspor game.

With Besiktas losing two points against Akhisar Belediyespor, Fenerbahce game against Trabzonspor has become even more important with Istanbul side having chance to reduce point difference with leaders to 3 point.

After back-to-back wins against Mersin IdmanYurdu and Konyaspor, Fenerbahce is going in high mood and motivation against struggling Trabzonspor and does look as strong favourites. With Fenerbahce players also providing more better football it will be expected that it would find lots of attacks against Trabzonspor. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor advantage is on-going conflict between two clubs and being at home it very likely to provide strong push towards Trabzonspor players. During the weekdays, Trabzonspor administators has stated clearly that the win against Fenerbahce would be chance for the players to get forgiveness from its supporters. However, Trabzonspor players have low motivation and also being team without any aims for the rest of the season, the chances of Fenerbahce are much higher.

Most important thing meanwhile for the game is also possibility of high protest towards Fenerbahce players by Trabzonspor supporters due of match-fixing scandal. It is crucial that Trabzonspor fans to be calm and enjoy the game tomorrow.

Kasimpasa are not scared of Galatasaray.

Kasimpasa are looking forward to the Super League game against Galatasaray being aware that it is being against weak opponent and aims to continue to the Europa League spot for next season.

The comfortable win against Rizespor during Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg even through has provided motivation to the Galatasaray is not likely to be transferred to the performance at the Super League as mentally players seem to be focussed differently at the Super League games. Kasimpasa player Adem Buyuk has stated that the players will only aim for a win and use an opportunity to get points against struggling Galatasaray. It was stated before at our blog that none of the teams are scared of the Galatasaray and Buyuk words prove that factor. Galatasaray is very likely to find number of goals but it would also concede. Question for Galatasaray is how much it will score compare to amount it will concede.

Kasimpasa does come as strong favourite but as always key players of Galatasaray could have direct factor of the game and have strength to turn game around when needed.
