Galatasaray has made it chances for Europa League qualification through league route much slimmer. 

With Galatasaray performing better at the last few games it was expected that it could provide good performance at the game against Bursaspor during 31st week Super League game and despite of showing signs of attacking football the game had ended with 1:1 scoreline. This score was not one which Galatasaray was seeking for at all.

Bursaspor to some extend had provided much more active football with more dangerous attacks which it could not have converted. However, Galatasaray did try to give some effort to the game which was observed compare to previous games and tried to win game which could lead chances to get Europa League spot from league route but today's draw did make them chances more slim. In fact, the draw for Galatasaray has come at the 50th minute by Olcan Adin which did provide chances to bring win for rest of 2nd half and despite of attacking football at the last 20 minutes wasnt enough to find winning goal. Right now, Galatasaray would focus into Turkish Cup semi-final 2nd leg game and would likely to provide attacking football regarding of winning 1st leg with 4:1 scoreline.

Afterwards, it would play game against Besiktas which result can have direct impact to the league title and even through this game would be great chance to get apology from its fans this season, the strong favourite will be Besiktas with its performance and motivation.

Bursaspor meanwhile has also lost chances to qualify to the Europa League and right now it will play last 3 games at the league for formality. Surely, it would also allow them to check its current players for next season.

Eskisehirspor needs a win against Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor whose last 4 games has turned into formality would play against team which is trying to get out from relegation zone during Super League 31st week game. For Eskisehirspor is surely is more crucial game and the team woud do its best to get best result it can.
Its been stated several times at this blog that Trabzonspor has recieved great results from teams at relegation area despite of its poor performance overall. However, Eskisehirspor is now playing very important game tomorrow while Trabzonspor is aimless and this factor does make Eskisehirspor to be slightly favourite. It would be expecting for Eskisehirspor to provide more risking and attacking football and being aware of issues of Trabzonspor it is unluckily it would be scared of them.

Hamza Hamzaoglu would play his first game against his old club.

With one week until big derby between Galatasaray and Besiktas, Galatasaray is going to play with another tough opponent -Bursaspor,  during Super League 31st week game. Meanwhile, this would be also first game of Bursaspor head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu against his old team.

Galatasaray has provided much improved performance during its game against Rizespor at Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg game and also against Kasimpasa at last week at the league. It could be stated that Galatasaray is currently at form as it aims strongly to get its Europa League spot either from league route or cup route to go through its 1 year ban it recieved from UEFA.  It became announced once again that Galatasaray player Wesley Snejder will not be at the squad tomorrow which does raise questions if the player is going to play only at the important games or his injury is to some extend is serious. Bursaspor meanwhile is also at good form and could provide some issues to the Galatasaray as long as it is fully focussed to the game.

The main focus would be towards how Bursaspor coach Hamza Hamzaoglu would play against his old team with who he had ended contract in not good terms and in surprising manner.

Erkan Zengin terminates contract with Trabzonspor

After being taking away from the squad by Trabzonspor, Erkan Zengin has mutually terminated contract with his team due of lack of good performance by the player lately.

Even through the factor that he was taken away from squad make it clear that Zengin days are numbered at the team, it was surprising for termination to happen as early as today. It also became clear that Erkan Zengin didnt request any compensation money from the team. Galatasaray are interested to transfer Fenerbahce player Mehmet Topal.

One of the biggest transfer rumour which has hit by Turkish media today was the fact that Galatasaray could be interesting with signing Fenerbahce player Mehmet Topal. Right now Galatasaray all views is would Fenerbahce  sign extension with player or not in this upcoming days.

During period of 2007-2010 Mehmet Topal has played for Galatasaray where he had good career and this factor could play an important role for his return to a team. In similar manner as with Fenerbahce, he had good career at the team which has helped him to move to Valencia. Besiktas and Fenerbahce have equal chances for league title in 4 weeks time.

With only 4 games left at the Super League in this season, there is big title race going on with Besiktas only having one win advantage at its disposal, but with the fact that it has hard fixture compare to Fenerbahce makes chances almost equal.

One thing is certain, is that Besiktas has control of its leadership and it can lose title with its own mistakes. However, taking account that it will play against Kayserispor which are at drop zone, Galatasaray fighting for Europa League spot and so as Osmanlispor and Konyaspor does make their games especially hard. Fenerbahce has a bit easier fixture with only team which can raise issues is Basaksehirspor game at 32nd week. In fact, same week Besiktas will play against Galatasaray and results of those both games at next weekend can decide who would win title since team which would be in leader would have focus and motivation at last two games left at the season after that.

Fenerbahce player Caner Erkin is likely to be forgiven by his side after incident with Vitor Pereira.
Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira relationship with its player Caner Erkin after harsh comments made by player towards him prior to Super League game against Galatasaray on 13th April seems to be calmed down.

In fact, Pereira is expected to forgive the player and try to encourage for administrators to do same and also being aware that he needs Caner Erkin for last 4 important games at the league. Pereira is likely to be expecting personal apology from Caner to him and to the teammates, but when Caner apologizes it would be expected both by Pereira and other players to forgive him straight away. Gaziantepspor has ended contract with its head coach Mutlu Topcu after dissapointing results lately by a team. Gaziantepspor is currently 6 points ahead of drop zone but the team has shown week performance in last 8 weeks.

Since winter break Gaziantepspor has dropped from 10th place to 16th at the league and has only gained 9 points with 2 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses and this statistics surely didnt make administrators happy. Club's Union CEO Goksel Gumusdag has stated that all of the games during Super League 31st week will start 2 minutes late as the chance for everyone to think about situation Turkish football is and how are referees treated during the games.

The catalyst of this action is surely has been led by the beating up of the assistant referee Volkan Bayarslan during Super League 30th week game between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce. The following action has recieved high number of support from almost every club at the Turkish league. The way media is been treating referees also plays an important role for this decision and  by discussing their mistakes for most of the time at their 3-4 hours programmes raises hatred towards referees by general supporters. It is would be foolish to provide defence to the 17-year old Trabzonspor "fan" for this action, but surely high discussion of this at TV affects their psychology. Blame towards referees should be reduced and in more active way clubs should think how to improve their game rather than blaming someone else.

This blog defends this action and even through it is clear that referee needs to be careful at making decisions and dont take sides, their also humans and as everyone else make mistakes. Its just need to be remembered that.

Trabzonspor plans to sell 6 players at this summer.

As all of the focus has been given to the actions which happened at Trabzonspor game against Fenerbahce, the team meanwhile has taken away from squad 6 players which it plans to sell this summer. Club administrators meanwhile did warn players publicly and likely more directly behind scenes before Fenerbahce game and to some extend this decision is not surprising but is sudden.

Prior to Fenerbahce game, Trabzonspor administrators has stated that this game will be last chance for players to prove themselves regarding of staying at the club for next season. After Fenerbahce game with their performance and actions at substittute, Ozcan Hurmaci, Cavanda, Erkan Zengin, Fatih Atik, Sefa Yilmaz and Marko Marin were taken out from squad. This action also shows that Trabzonspor is arleady started its project for building new team for next season with first taking away unwanted players and letting those players to start looking for clubs.

Trabzonspor quite rightly expects its players to provide their best performance and failing to do that costed them place at squad and future at the club.

Besiktas winter transfers didnt fulfill expectations.

As was remembered, Besiktas was among most talked teams at the past winter transfer window however with so much effort given to transfers of Denis Boyko and Alexis Delgado the team didnt get maximum from both players and plans to sell or loan them during this summer transfer window.

Even through Alexis Delgado was poor at the game against Akhisar Belediyespor and previous game and with recieving high number minutes at game, Boyko was more unlucky as due Tolga Zengin who he was planned to replaced start playing even better, with fight for the shirt. Problem here also that despite their cant be question of Tolga Zengin being main goalkeeper, Denis Boyko start having trouble being at 18-team squad for games which would provide negative affect to him. To some extend Delgado also might have recieved low number of gameplay and needs time to get used to the league, but his mistake seem to be more simple and does raise questions of his capability especially during this critical weeks at the league.

Both players didnt manage to fulfill their expectation despite to the team. It does look like both players need to prove themselves to be worthy at team in this last 4 weeks, mainly during training sessions with the team.

Trabzonspor fans hatred towards Fenerbahce is getting out of control.

Whenever Fenerbahce comes to play against Trabzonspor at away game, there is always some kind of violent behaviour which was shown by the supporters during the game. However, up to 89th minute this was seen as one of the most calmed and friendly game regarding of behaviour of the fans.

Until 89th minute, number of Trabzonspor fans were applauding Fenerbahce players Luis Nani and Alper Potuk with their performance at the game. But whatever have happened has happened when Trabzonspor supporter has entered to the field and has beaten reserve referee Volkan Bayaraslan.
There is some view that this started by when Trabzonspor supporter has asked for Luis Nani shirt after he was substituted. After this number of fans shown anger to this and led for another fan to throw shirt back into field. But this could be unknown even through it did happen just before the incident. One thing which seems to be certain all this are been made by provocative people. This hatred towards Fenerbahce by Trabzonspor is beyond understatement and even through the catalyst could be seen match-fixing events back in 2010-11 season, it was known similar things to happen in
Trabzon prior to that season in the games against Fenerbahce.

Trabzonspor would now surely recieve very tough punishment which would move to the few games of upcoming season. Trabzonspor needs to do more to calm down its fans whenever Fenerbahce is coming to Trabzon.

Fenerbahce is playing football which was expected from them in start of the season at the end of the season.

Coming to the game, which even up to know didnt get official result would likely to be in same scoreline as it was at 89th minute, was one of the most easy games for Fenerbahce at this season. The poor motivation by Trabzonspor and their stamina which was charecterised at this season has surely affected the game.

Fenerbahce despite of winning game with 4:0 didnt raise lots of tempo at the game as the gamestyle dominated by Trabzonspor during the game went into advantage of Fenerbahce as with quality finishing touches it has at squad managed to score 4 goals. Fenerbahce had better squad, better motivation and psychological condition which led game to be one sided. Fenerbahce has also scored in total of 11 goals at last 3 games both at league and cup and this factor will be great motivation for last 4 games at the league and their fight for league title. With this performance of Fenerbahce it is clear that Besiktas cant lose game right now, as Fenerbahce doesnt look that will lose games in next 4 games.

Fenerbahce are starting playing like it was wanted by fans in August at the end of the season, despite of being 3 points behind leaders, this could be perfect timing to provide such performance. After this weekend result, league title has become excited once again.

Galatasaray has shown more of its old form at game against Kasimpasa.

Galatasaray with 4:1 win against Kasimpasa during Super League 30th week game has gotten its first win at the league after 7th week and even more importantly has shown better controlled and attacking play which is more suitable for the team in this year.

With performance especially by Lukas Podolski at the forward area and always pressurising Kasimpasa goal it got much easier win than expected as their opponents were direct opponents with them for Europa League spot. Possibly the lack of supporters coming to the  game had affected to performance so hence no protest recieved by them could even affected to the game. This gameplay could provide some motivation and hope for the last 4 games and possibly get Europa League spot from league even through it does look tough.

As this blog was going to focus into 4:0 scoreline win of the Fenerbahce during Super League 30th week game agaisnt Trabzonspor and poor performance of Trabzonspor, Trabzonspor supporters didnt allow to provide a review of the game with their actions at the 89th minute at this entry.

Towards the end of the game, of what could be seen as most calm and friendly game between two teams in Trabzon in sense of behaviour of players and supporters to be played in Trabzonspor number of the fans at the end of the game start showing an attempt to get into the field. By watching at the game overall it could be overall stated that this behavour by minority which had provacative role at the game. Coming to the game, Trabzonspor did show once again its poor performance which could affect reaction to the supporters who did shout slogans of resignation towards Trabzonspor administrators but still think were calm back then. The game itself didnt go at fast tempo, looking like Fenerbahce felt fine with the tempo set by Trabzonspor as it was finding goals. At 89th minute number of supporters who had entered to the field has beaten up against reserve referee of the coach is just beyond understanding.

With few minutes of the game left Fenerbahce was going to get an important win with being 3 points behind Trabzonspor. One thing is certain that Fenerbahce would recieve those 3 points but for now this is not an official as it would be awaited decision of the game by Turkish Football Federation.

Trabzonspor CEO Muharrem Usta has tried his  best to reduce violence prior to the game and he showed signs of it during the game until those events. One thing is certain is that PFDK would punish Trabzonspor strongly.

Galatasaray wins its first game at Super League since 22nd week.

Galatasaray has won the fırst Super League game after 22nd week game against Trabzonspor, with a comfortable 4:1 win against Kasimpasa and provided one of the best games in 2016 at home even at the empty stadium.

Galatasaray during whole game has provided high number of attacks and had scored goals both at the beginning and at the end of the game which shows that for first time in long time team was providing an attacking football style against it needed to say very tough opponent Kasimpasa which were seeking for Europa League spot at the standings. One of the reason of such an improvement by Galatasaray could be also connected to the good performance at the Rizespor game in the Turkish Cup semi-final game. However, the main turning point of the game was an upper post at the 85th minute by Akhisar Belediyespor player Soner which could turn scoreline into 4:2. This missed goal could really identify the champions of this season as if he did score it could also affect negatively to the Besiktas players for the next 4 games and could cost them league title.

Besiktas has gained 1 crucial point against Akhisar Belediyespor as title race is getting exciting.

Turkish Super League 30th week game between Akhisar Belediyespor and Besiktas was among the best games at this season so far and with game finishing with 3:3 scoreline, it had also affected directly to the title race.

Besiktas was coming out to the game with only aim of winning it and it was visible from the first whistle as after several attacks Besiktas player Mario Gomez has scored 1st goal. In fact, 1st half of the game was not very enjoyable with both teams not providing high level of football with Akhisar Belediyespor having trouble to organise attacks.
