Performance of Fenerbahce has been decider of the final result against Besiktas.
Fenerbahce has regained its leadership after beating Besiktas at derby game with 3:1 scoreline as it has been better side in all fairness with creating much more chances and looked to be more organised.
When looking at the form of the both teams both in recent weeks and generally during this season, Fenerbahce did come as favourites and it has shown with such performance as it has controlled ball in much more confident manner and has created some good chances. It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce has shown its willingness to get win in this game as it found an early goal on 10th minute. It needs to be stated that conceded goal which did come from penalty shot of Chamberlain of pretty controversial position did lead Fenerbahce to reduce tempo of the game however it did get once again upper hand during 2nd half. Following this win, Fenerbahce has raised point difference from Besiktas and Kayserispor, with latter game in hand to 14 points, and hence it could be noted that league has become 2 horse race even if we didnt get to mid-season.
It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas had some advantage side of this game has been more mental and psychological factors namely playing at home and new administration team rather than performance level of two teams, and this has been case in this game too.Besiktas didnt get an upper hand when looking for 90 minutes but it needs to be stated that this difference between sides has been more visible when looking into performance of 2nd half as Besiktas didnt show any response to Fenerbahce attacking game especially following conceding 2nd goal from Tadic on penalty. It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas tends to show strong and fighting spirit at derby game even when it didnt go through good times but it didnt manage to do so. Besiktas does have some serious points as it fails to show togetherness and once again it is visible that players are mentally on not on field and would have difficult period in upcoming games.
Fenerbahce did come out to the game at much better form and this has affected directly to how game has been and to result. Besiktas did have some mental advantages but this didnt transform into how performance of players.
Galatasaray got an important win against Adana Demirspor
Galatasaray continues its winning run as it got good win against Adana Demirspor at home ground even through it didnt provide its best performance as it was visible that it mind has been on game against Copenhagen.
In fact, it could be noted that when looking how game has been played both sides has aimed to provide positive game which led for good chances but with Galatasaray being on better form on recent week and quality legs has led side to find winning goals while Adana Demirspor did lack with final touches. To some extend, Galatasaray has been lucky that Adana Demirspor are going through some difficult and uncertain period as it terminated with Patrick Kluivert and did come out with caretaker coach which did have direct effect to outcome. Meanwhile, Adana Demirspor creating some good chances does provide some lessons to Galatasaray lessons to Copenhagen into defence as it is expected to be much more difficult game in midweek.
Galatasaray hence did get good win as it continues its race for leadership with Fenerbahce and did gain motivation and confidence for Copenhagen game.
Both Trabzonspor and Gaziantep would seek for good result to raise its morale
Trabzonspor would be seeking to get win after 2 weeks as it would be playing against Gaziantep which are also showing struggling performance and get back its morale.
Trabzonspor so far has been focussed into defensive game which it does good job to some extend but it does need to be seeking to improve its attacking performance if it wants to get win against Gaziantep which would be very likely seeking for defence game as draw would not be bad result for them. Trabzonspor does need to get both good results and also showing poor performance but as been stated it did lack to get good results in recent weeks so it could be focussing more into score rather than strong performance.
With Trabzonspor showing unstable performance it is hard to call clear favourite as side Gaziantep would be seeking this game as good opportunity to get good result and raise morale.
