Fenerbahce has gained more for this point but both sides would be unhappy.
Turkish Super League 36th week derby game between Besiktas and Fenerbahce has ended with 1:1 scoreline which didnt go much into hand for both sides, but this point is being more beneficial for Fenerbahce as it got extra point for 2nd spot.
2021-22 Super League last derby game has started with Fenerbahce provided strong pressure to Besiktas which led for finding an early goal thanks to Filip Novak and it needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce has continued providing strong pressure game with controlling ball until it has conceded from penalty goal from Rachid Ghezzal. After penalty decision it did live some control to the Besiktas but still didnt let them to get full control of the ball with showing strong and patient game up front. Fenerbahce didnt make its fight for 2nd spot into better position but did rise point difference with Konyaspor to 5 points with having extra game with 2 games left for them. Fenerbahce possibly didnt get full control of the game for 90 minutes but still did show some good performance.
Besiktas on they part did lose an opportunity to end season at the 4th spot which means of getting Conference League spot for next season as head-to-head stats is being on advantage of Basaksehirspor who are currently at 4th place and being 6 points. Besiktas it needs didnt start well game with looking to be slighly panicking in the field but as game developed it did game into middle of the game and provided much more pressure towards Fenerbahce goal. Positive point for Besiktas is being for not losing game at derby for 12 games and still also could aim for 5th spot for Conference League if Trabzonspor wins Turkish Cup. With this in possibility, Besiktas still need to give fighting performance until last minute of the game but this point is being result which they wouldnt like to get.
Fenerbahce has gained more from this draw compare to Besiktas but it could be noted that this result wouldnt satisfy for both sides taking account of aims which they would enter for last 2 weeks of the season.
Galatasaray has mentally ended this season.
Galatasaray continues showing ineffective game in the league as it drawn with Basaksehirspor but this could been more case due of strong defensive game while Basaksehirspor did lose an opportunity to secure more or less its 4th spot.
Galatasaray performance starting from midfielders has been pretty poor as side didnt provide pressure towards Basaksehirspor goal as it been pretty slow and did look like they are waiting for league to be ending as soon as possible as it being without any aims. It needs to be mentioned that Basaksehirspor even through did create high number of opportunities but couldnt pass Fernando Muslera has been which did lose 3 points. They did create number of dangerous opportunities but in overall also looked demotivated without using opponent weak condition.
Galatasaray are currently waiting for league to be ending and this factor does affect its poor ineffective performance on the field.
TFF has requested for Super Cup to be lifted on 15th May
Trabzonspor has send request to TFF to get its Super League 2021-22 title at its own stadium on 15th May while playing game against Altay on 14th May in Sanliurfa.
Due of Trabzonspor stadium being heavily damaged following active celebration of the league title following Antalyaspor game on last week has went into condition which it would be almost impossible to play at. This request is being reasonable but it would be interesting to see what reaction would TFF see and how mcuh would be seeing as good reason. It is expected for TFF to announce schedule for Super League 37th week within 2-3 days and it would hence become clear what would be decision.
Meanwhile, as it is known Trabzonspor are planning to make huge and memorable celebration when it would lift Super League title at what it looks like to be on 15th May.
