What happened in Turkish football today? 05/02/2022

Trabzonspor got minumum win thanks to Edin Visca goal

Trabzonspor has got an important win against in-form Kasimpasa with minumum scoreline thanks to the goal from Edin Visca at what ended up being pretty tough game as both sides did play for win.

It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor didnt provide its best performance in this game especially during 2nd half where it went mainly into defensive game especially after when sides did play with 10-on-10 as both Eyserrac from Kasimpasa and Bruno Peres at Trabzonspor been send off in questionable manner. Trabzonspor did get fast start in the game with getting some good opportunities which led for goal from Edin Visca but it needs to be noted that Kasimpasa did also create some opportunities during that period with being better side on 2nd half. Hence, even through Trabzonspor did win game its hard to state it did show full dominance of the game with losing some control in duration of 90 minutes and it needs to be showing better game next week against Konyaspor. Most pleasant factor is being for Edin Visca to find goal especially winning one as he is expected to play important role for title aims of the side.

Kasimpasa it needs to be mentioend did provide good open positive game and in most times actually looked better than Trabzonspor but with many opportunities it did lack last touch which led them not to find crucial goal.

Trabzonspor did show some decline with its performance in this game but still showed good concentration to the game but it needs to be aware that its not dominating games as it did before in the league.

National team break didnt change much for Fenerbahce as it lost to Basaksehirspor.

Fenerbahce continues at getting poor result at the Super League as it did lost to Basaksehirspor with 1:0 scoreline and even through it did get some good moments during game in overall didnt provide much pressure to opponent.

With both sides coming out to the game focussing into Conference League spots, it hard to note that there has been specific motivation from both players as game has been played in low tempo and both sides did look to be far from high motivation, even through Basaksehirspor did look to be more organised. Stating that Fenerbahce played without doubt did come out for win but this feeling of psychological pressure due of recent poor results did continue in such game which does show that Ismail Kartal didnt manage to sort out low confidence and motivation of the players. With getting further from title race with each point loss, Fenerbahce in same time loses concentration and belief and with supporters once again especially after 1:0 providing protests towards administration has alos affected even more to self-belief.

It needs to be mentioned that even through Basaksehirspor did look to be more organised compare to opponent, it is hard to note that it also provided good performance which it did show with Emre Belozoglu when he joined club in start. Therefore, this result should not trick Belozoglu.

Fenerbahce would be playing against Kayserispor at Turkish Cup and getting this tournament is still being one of the aims it would be expected for players to be more motivated to this game.

Galatasaray will aim to start getting further from relegation area but it would be tough game.

Galatasaray would be resuming Super League journey with an aim to get further from relegation zone as it would be meeting with in-form Alanyaspor which in their turn would be focussing at least for Conference League spot in the end of the season.

Galatasaray is having pretty nervous day without doubt as Gabriel Torrent since becoming head coach of the side didnt win any of his 3 games without providing much impressive performance but he did get opportunity to train more with his side during national team break and we might be seeing some more signs of game which he would be focussing on for in this side and how he would be focussing into providing game performance with 1st focus without doubt being get further from relegation. Alanyaspor in their turn does provide strong positive game in recent weeks and would be focussing to carry doing so against Galatasaray with being confident it can get good result for sure.

Galatasaray would be seeing this game as start for getting some good results but it would be meeting with tough opponent which provides strong confident game in recent weeks.
