What happened in Turkish football today? 01/02/2022

Eyupspor has loaned Jesse Sekidika.

Eyupspor has loaned Galatasaray player Jesse Sekidika as player more or less has spend his career at Galatasaray as loan player to other clubs as he would be now competing in the 2nd league.

Even through it should be noted that Jesse Sekidika is still being player with some potentiality, it needs to be noted that he still didnt provide his performance both during training session in the club and also loan period in other clubs to keep him for long time in the squad for Galatasaray. Stating that, moving to club like Eyupspor could be big help for him as he is likely to recieve lots of playing time at modest club where he might even become key player of the squad. Therefore, despite of lower division Sekidika would be getting some crucial playing time and help him to develop into more stronger player.

This loan period might be going into positive impact to both Galatasaray and Sekidika as player could return to side in the end of the season in more confident manner.

Bafetembi Gomis has arrived to Istanbul for Galatasaray.

Bafetembi Gomis has returned to Istanbul and is expected to be signing 0.5+1 year contract with his previous club Galatasaray where he became star of the team but did leave in bit scandalous matter.

Since Bafetembi Gomis has left side 2 years ago, Galatasaray started to have some serious issues with attacking game and this led for some bad periods for Galatasaray at the leagues which been rose to lowest point during this season with attackers showing poor performance. Therefore despite of leaving side in such bad manner, he would be able to solve this issue and with player willing to return to Galatasaray does provide him as best option. It is expected that attacking performance of the side would be reduced into pressure and help side to get further from relegation zone.

Bafetembi Gomis joining Galatasaray would certainly solve crucial attacking issues which been present in the club from start of the season.

Yunus Akgun expected to be selected to Turkish National Team in March.

It became clear that Turkish National Team head coach Stefan Kuntz would be expected to call Adana Demirspor player Yunus Akgun to World Cup 2022 knockout stage qualifier which would be taking place in March.

Yunus Akgun without doubt has become one of the key players in recent rise of Adana Demirspor with providing confident attacking game with looking for opportunities and scoring high amount of goals whenever he gets opportunities and highly did deserve this call if it would be happening. Without doubt he is having his best season to extend that Galatasaray supporters are seeing decision to send him as loan as big mistake.

Yunus Akgun is having very good season and he would be likely rewarded with being selected to Turkish National side.
