Galatasaray gets back-to-back wins but still didnt expected top game.

Galatasaray has got very important but in same time difficult win against Rizespor at home ground in the week which been characterised with high number of goals as Istanbul giant has won with 4:2 scoreline.

Galatasaray did finally get an important win against Rizespor in the sense that it needed to get back-to-back wins and hence get further from relegation zone but it needs to be noted that it didnt start game very well and for most amount of the time it did have trouble to get into the game as it has conceded on 8th minute Gedson Fernandes. One of the most important factors which has been observed is that Galatasaray start showing fighting spirit much more compare to previous games with Torrent but still it needs to improve a lot especially as it would be meeting with Barcelona at Europa League. It needs to be mentioned also that Domenec Torrent tends to come out with wrong players as starting 11 but tends to do right substitutes as crucial goals did come from Ryan Babel and Bafetembi Gomis, while defender Van Aanholdt did become player of the game as he did score in important goals at right time.

Rizespor it needs to be mentioned did provide high and positive football once again with looking into opportunities for 90 minutes but couldnt respond from strong pressure which been given from Galatasaray towards end of the game.

Besiktas did get an important 3:2 win against difficult opponent Sivasspor but it is hard to state that both sides did show strong confident attacking game despite of the scoreline.

Even through Besiktas did get win which without doubt is being important for they fight for top 4 spot and Conference League and this outcome would provide needed motivational boost, still it doesnt get enough dominance of the game which would been expected from them. In addition to this Besiktas still had lost of tempo towards end of the game which did lead for Sivasspor to find penalty goal. Shortly, it could be stated that Besiktas did get this win with being slighly showing better game of side which had pretty poor night. Among that, both sides did struglle during game due of poor field of the Sivasspor despite of field having heating up system.

Besiktas did get important win and for sure got motivation prior to Turkish Cup game but still needs to improve its performance.

Fenerbahce will have tough game as it focuses to get 3-wins back-to-back.

Fenerbahce would be now focussed to Super League 27th week game against Kasimpasa as this being only tournament which is left for them and last aim without doubt is to get Conference League spot but it is being sadly unlikely for them.

Even through Fenerbahce did come out to Slavia Prague games with high focus to get through to the next stage as this being only big aim for them as been noted before hand poor performance in the Super League has also affected to the Conference League. Stating that Fenerbahce did win previous 2 games in the league and would be without doubt aim to rise this streak to 3 games and keep inside its aim for top 4 spot. Stating that however Fenerbahce still didnt show very strong performance in previous 2 games which could be not enough for Kasimpasa which tends to show good performance both against big clubs and also in general. Besiktas has got crucial win against Sivasspor.

Besiktas has got crucial win against Sivasspor with high tempo game with 3:2 scoreline and continues its fight for Conference League spot and did provide strong confident performance against one of the difficult away games.

Trabzonspor made another important step for title with great comeback from 2:0

Trabzonspor has got 3:2 win against in-form Kayserispor with showing great comeback as it was losing with 0:2 scoreline after 1st half with showing incredible fighting spirit on 2nd half after poor 1st half.

In fact it needs to be noted that Trabzonspor did show pretty ineffective game during 1st half which in one point has been seen sign of side getting relaxed with having such strong advantage in the title race but in same time been surprising taking account it did play at home with expected strong support from own fans. With taking account that Kayserispor didnt lose for last 10 games, it did show strong attacking game using advantage of poor game from opponent. However, Trabzonspor has turned around entirely during 2nd half with possible angry but same time motivational talk from head coach Abdullah Avci during 2nd half. It did get goals back-to-back from Trabzonspor thanks to the Visca and Djaniny goal which led side to get into last 30 minutes with 2:2 which already been strong achievement when taking account it was losing with 2:0 scoreline. With Kayserispor showing more focussed defensive game and also creating some opportunities it did look like it would end with draw, but Trabzonspor did get penalty on last minute which led for win from Nwakaeme in such well-fought comeback.

It needs to be mentioned however, Kayserispor which as been mentioned did come with very good form has shown in 1st half and some moments on 2nd half why its been leaders. Right now, Trabzonspor is being tough opponent Kayserispor did show good performance and would be expected to continue strong game if it doesnt demoralised from this loss.

Trabzonspor got very important win and make another step for title, and with 14 points advantage and 11 weeks left each point would be huge step for title.

Fenerbahce is showing ineffective and slow game.

Fenerbahce even through did lose game with 3:2 scoreline and scoreline does provide view that it has been close game as was with 1st leg game, it needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce actual performance has been pretty ineffective with Slavia Prague controlling game.

One of the most important issues with Fenerbahce during recent games including against Slavia Prague that it tend to possess ball but has issues with showing high tempo game with effective attacking game. Fenerbahce didnt provide any performance which would provide some pressure to Slavia even through it is likely to be feeling one until it has scored on 19th minute. Fenerbahce right now hence only is being competing at Super League and even through it can do some maths for top 4 spot which would bring in worst scenario bring them to Conference League spot, it is continuing showing ineffective game and hence doesnt provide much hope. Therefore, it could be stated that club has ended its season mentally and doesnt provide much hope for rest of the season.

Fenerbahce wasnt able to be fully focussed into this 2-legs and continued to be showing poor game which it shown domestically.

Besiktas needs to show much more effective game agaisnt Sivasspor.

Besiktas will be meeting with one of the toughest opponent Sivasspor as it has set an eye to top 4 spot to get at least Conference League but with recent performance there is some negative view.

Even through Besiktas did win against Altay on previous game it is difficult to state that it did show very effective game against opponent which is being in pretty poor form both physically and mentally. One of the main focuses for Besiktas would be for sure to get wins back-to-back, be more effective in attacks and not losing concentration in last minutes of the game if it wants to get win and it needs to be noted that Sivasspor is being opponent which could provide some issues to Sivasspor. In fact, Sivasspor is likely is aware of this weak parts of opponent and would provide pressure according to this.

Besiktas is showing ineffective performance in recent weeks and it would need to show strong reaction to this in upcoming weeks.

Fenerbahce lacked fighting spirit against Slavia Prague.

Fenerbahce has been relegated from Europa Conference League with an aggregate 6:4 scoreline as it lost 2nd leg with same scoreline and also to some extend has provided similar performance as they did during 1st leg.

Rather then scoring an early goal it has been one which has conceded 2 goals in duration of 30 minutes which mentally and on tie has led to advantage of Slavia Prague and hence led for opposition to provide much more calm and confident performance. It needs to be noted however that Fenerbahce did start game with controlling ball but did lack showing high concentration with creating dangerous opportunities with still slow tempo game even through ball been on the field. In fact, scoreline in overall shouldnt led viewers to be confused because Slavia Prague has controlled game from start to an end. Fenerbahce as it tends to be for most of the time didnt provide that fighting spirit which it urgently needed even through it could be stated that players did give their best to win game but tactically there were some issues. Trabzonspor expects to get win against Kayserispor.

Yeni Malatyaspor has terminated contract with Adem Buyuk.

Yeni Malatyaspor has announced that it has terminated contract with its player and caretaker coach Adem Buyuk who didnt provide much change of performance wise at his new spot with also playing side.

It would be expected that this decision been made at mutual agreement since it would been difficult without doubt for Adem Buyuk to help side to get further from last spot in such short period of time as being coach first time in his career and also coming on the field as he did last weekend game. With condition which Yeni Malatyaspor is at it does need much more experienced coach to take this spot who in advantage would be experienced to keep sides in the top of the league and very likely it would be looking now for one.

Fenerbahce needs to rise its fighting spirit against Slavia Prague when comparing to 1st leg.

Fenerbahce would be coming out to the Conference League 2nd round 2nd leg game in the Prague against Slavia Prague from deficit of 3:2 scoreline but still being within the game due of getting away from away goal.

Scoreline without doubt does keep Fenerbahce at the game but what makes everyone worried in the side is performance which they showed during 1st leg and generally during this season despite of winning previous 2 seasons. One of the main issues during 1st leg that side didnt provide enough fighting spirit during game which it needs to be solving for 2nd leg especially when taking account that it could be tougher game as this time is being away. Players which did provide strong performance in recent weeks will not be pleasant either due of not being in Conference League squad list or due of injuries which could provide some problems for side but positive point is with win against Hatayspor it would be coming out with strong self-confidence likely.

Fenerbahce mathematically can get to next stage despite of deficit but what is crucial for them is to show top level game.

Trabzonspor are incredibly close to finally win title.

With Konyaspor losing to Basaksehirspor on day before with 2:1 scoreline, has put them further from title race as it now behind 14 points of league leaders while Trabzonspor is getting closer and closer to title.

With 12 weeks left in the season, Trabzonspor just needs to win 7 games and this taking account that Konyaspor will be winning all its games which is being unlucky to all respect especially when Konyaspor is being on decline starting with Trabzonspor and currently on risk to lose runners-up spot with Basaksehirspor being only 3 points behind them. Trabzonspor would now need to stay focussed with winning games as it currently does since Konyaspor and got both players, whole club and supporters believing that it would be getting title so it is very unlikely to lose it right now as again respect to Konyaspor it doesnt look like it would get much pressure from below clubs. Trabzonspor needs to stay focussed for upcoming games but at least they would need feel much pressure as wins come. 

Trabzonspor has very big advantage and are very unlikely to lose right now even if Konyaspor would win all games. 

Trabzonspor interested to transfer Can Bozdogan if Besiktas doesnt use transfer option in summer.

Trabzonspor are reported to be interested to transfer Besiktas-loaned player Can Bozdogan as club doesnt consider to use transfer option from Schalke 04 in summer transfer window.

Can Bozdogan is being brought to Besiktas with high hopes and did provide one of its best goals during this season but in overall didnt provide high level game in his club but without doubt Trabzonspor are very likely to see potential on him with his performance as club is interested to transfer him in summer. Still, it needs to be mentioned that if Bozdogan would rise performance and get enough time at Besiktas, club might again consider to use option as it does have priority.

Galatasaray finally got win thanks to VAR decisions.

Galatasaray has got crucial win against Goztepe during Super League 26th week game and possibly got right confidence and motivation to start aiming for getting further from relegation zone at the game which been dominated by VAR.

Starting with game, it needs to be mentioned that it is hard to state that Galatasaray did provide strong confident game for 90 minutes especially during 1st minute despite of finding an early goal. In fact, after 3rd minute when Nelsson did get goal game went into control for Goztepe which did create good opportunities and tempo but couldnt  find goal. Afterwards, starting from end of the 1st half and almost entire 2nd half has been dominated by VAR which identified 4 penalties and disallowed given penalty from referee as those positions did have direct impact with scoreline as 4 of the 5 goals did come from penalties. In overall, as been mentioned this win would provide needed confidence for upcoming games and provide some relaxation for Domenec Torrent with 1st win.

Galatasaray did get finally win but without doubt it needs to improve on this performance if it wants to continue getting wins. 

Central Referee Committee would need to give at least week off to Arda Kardesler.

As been noted, Goztepe and Galatasaray been dominated with VAR decisions of 4 penalties and also collecting one from referee as this example show how effectively VAR could be used but in same time showed poor performance of referee.

Hence, this game interestingly shows good usage of VAR but not readiness and lack of focus from main referee of the game Arda Kardesler who did lose control of the game more or less after 2nd penalty decision and even more after giving from penalty decision. Without doubt, it would be expected for Central Referee Committee to give some timeout as he would be losing focus and also referees tend to continue poor performance when been appointed to game soon, but it does look like once again committee will likely to appoint him again next week as it tends to do this season. Without doubt, it would be interesting to see how it would act right now.

Such ineffective and also losing morale of referee are best signs to give rest but its questionable if he would recieve it.

Ozgur Ekmikcioglu would complain to TFF regarding referee performance

Staying with issues of referees, it is reported that Altay  CEO Ozgur Ekmekcioglu would be going to the TFF for complain about recent performances of referees in their games.

With feeling that club been treated unfairly during their games, Ekmekcioglu would be going to TFF with an examples and positions of recent 12 games where he would argue that those decisions are been given wrongly and there is systematic movement towards them. It needs to be mentioned that many clubs were using similar tactics, which normally is being productive, but since referee issues seems to be pretty systematic its very unlikely to provide any big changes for future but still such move would help TFF to realise.

Hence, this visit might not solve many issues but would give some awareness to TFF without doubt and referee committee.

Penalties has decided game between Goztepe and Galatasaray.

Galatasaray head coach Gabriel Torrent has been won its first game with his club in the game which been played between both sides which aimed to get further from relegation zone as 4 goals from 5  did come from penalties.

With Galatasaray and Goztepe being just above relegation zone with possible bringing into more dangerous zone it has been expecting for both sides to give their all not to lose and do everything to win game. Therefore, both sides did provide according to that even through Galatasaray did provide much more better start with starting great goal from set piece from Nelsson but after that Goztepe has managed to balance game. After that to some extend penalty kicks and referee did got into role as 4 penalties has been given during rest of the game with all of them being hand balls as Goztepe has went ahead of the game with finding goal on 45+2 and 70 minutes with Ndiaye which been followed with Bafetembi Gomis 2 goals from penalties which also come from hand ball decision. Still, Galatasaray needed to get win as soon as possible regardless in what it would get it due of recent poor performance which it did manage to do so.

Goztepe on their part despite of conceding goal on early minute did get back into game as it couldnt lose this game due of danger of being eliminated and hence has provided strong confident performance and even got ahead. Despite of loss, Goztepe did provide some hope for upcoming weeks.

Galatasaray did get very important win after 14 weeks and would see likely as new beginning and could now focus in more confident manner to get further from relegation zone.  

Trabzonspor are almost certain to get title.

Trabzonspor continues dominating Super League and with getting to league title as this time it managed to get 4:0 confident win against Alanyaspor with finding all goals on 1st half.

With Alanyaspor providing top level game in recent weeks there was big expectation for this game to be difficult one for Trabzonspor with opponents providing some pressure but quite opposite happened. One of the key aspects of the Trabzonspor during game has been for providing strong pressure from moment when Alanyaspor were starting game at defensive area and such pressure has led for openning goal on 5th minute. Without doubt this goal has affected morale and confidence to the Alanyaspor which been reduced even more with every conceded goal to exchange that when score became 4:0 on 39th minute, Alanyaspor lost all concentration and didnt even convert penalty even if Ugurcan Cakir has been top class. Without providing too much effort, Trabzonspor has got another win and could even get title next month as Konyaspor to all respect likely to continue losing points occasionally.

Trabzonspor is in full control and there would be only totally unexpected to happen for them not to get title. 

Arda Guler is potential new star of Fenerbahce.

Trabzonspor got much easier win then expected against Alanyaspor.

Trabzonspor gets confident win against Alanyaspor with ending job within 39 minutes as it won game with 4:0 scoreline at the game where Trabzonspor showed very good game during 1st half while Alanyaspor has been unexpectedly poor for whole game.

In similar manner as it did during last week, Trabzonspor has provided agressive attacking game as side which right now fully focussed to get title in this season did find an early goal with Anthony Nwakaeme at 5th minute. It needs to be mentioned that this goal has provided much more confidence towards Trabzonspor and without doubt did have total opposite effect to Alanyaspor. Fenerbahce gets win against Hatayspor due of two penalty goals from Serdar Dursun at the game which been played at mediocre tempo with both sides in overall not providing strong pressure but for Fenerbahce its been crucial win as it got back-to-back wins.

Taking result of the game on the side, Fenerbahce didnt provide very strong performance with looking to be one which did contol game and when comparing both side has been better one but it didnt provide enough pressure. Stating that it needs to be remembered that Fenerbahce does get some unwanted result during previous game including with 3:2 loss to Slavia Prague at home ground so to some extend Fenerbahce needed to win this game regardless how it performs which to some extend describes why their provided such strong focus into defensive aspect of the game. Besiktas did manage to get win against struggling Altay thanks to the header from Domagoj Vida as club has ended its back-to-back draws but still it didnt provide very good and confident performance.

As been noted, on the post prior to game Besiktas advantage to get win against Altay has been of having stronger and more quality squad compare to opponents and without doubt this has played an important role with Besiktas win as both sides did provide pretty poor performance. Besiktas gets win after 3 draws.

Besiktas ends its draw streak in the Super League as it got minumum win against Altay with 1:0 scoreline thanks to the goal from Domagoj Vida from corner and keeps side in the race for Conference League spot at least.

It needs to be mentioned that even through when looking in the table Besiktas did look to be favourite due of poor performance from Altay in recent weeks, there were some worries from Istanbul giants as it did provide lack of goals in recent games to get win. In fact, issue with forward players has been continued during this game also as winning goal did come from defender Domagoj Vida who did provide very good shot from head shot. Therefore, it still hard to state that Besiktas did provide strong dominance during game but in other hand it was in situation where it needed to get win regardless in what kind of manner and it did just that. It also needs to mentioned that Besiktas once again showed decline during last minutes of the game with Altay getting high number of opportunities with getting great shots with getting posts and hence it also continues to show decline of performance in end of the game which could either be due of physical and even psychological reasons.

Altay did provide performance which has been been above its expectation as it tried to be organised at defence and did rise tempo with very good opportunities with also showing signs that it was aware of issues with Besiktas lack of good game towards end as it did push it but it didnt find goal.

Besiktas did get win which it urgently needed and now side would need to focus to make it streak of wins so it aim for European spots for next season.

Confident Trabzonspor will have tough game against Alanyaspor.

Trabzonspor is going to resume its race for title with pretty difficult game against in-form Alanyaspor but it would be coming out with knowledge that this win would make them get closer to aim even more closer.

Without doubt win against Konyaspor, which does stay as the main contenders at the title race would provide strong motivation and confidence strength to the side as it did have some decline with its performance and would like to be providing strong confident performance even one of its main players Marek Hamsik will not be playing due of injury which is being in good form but there would be expected for Edin Visca to continue his in-form performance and would be expected to be crucial player in the attack. Fenerbahce continues showing poor performance this time losing to Slavia Prague.

Fenerbahce continues showing poor performance as it continued its ineffective game against Slavia Prague during Europa Conference League 2nd round 1st leg game with 3:2 scoreline and even through there is some hope with such scoreline, it doesnt look very optimistic.

There have been expectation that Fenerbahce would be shown better performance in this game as it being only competition which team stays at and it did start in such matter with controlling ball and going forward but overall it didnt provide much attacking game apart of Ferdi Kadioglu and Arda Guler who showed strong willingness and played direct role with two goals. Even through there is been expectation for different performance from side, it would need to be noted that with football being continuous sport poor performance and poor morale domestically would naturally affect to Europe. With away-goal rule out Fenerbahce has opportunity for last 16 but not with such performance and psychology.

Fenerbahce continues showing poor performance as it moved to Conference League and it doesnt look like it would be sort out soon.

Fenerbahce didnt provide enough pressure to Slavia Prague.

Fenerbahce has lost 1st leg game against Slavia Prague at Conference League 2nd round game with 2:3 scoreline with conceding very simple goals and overall didnt fulfill expectations even through its not big surprise of this outcome.

It needs to be mentioned that to some extend Fenerbahce has been side which started game much more confident and stronger with controlling ball and creating some opportunities which led for Slavia Prague to provide defensive and low tempo game. However, as game progressed tempo in overall been reduced with Fenerbahce being side which did lose its control of the game and with such performance it did led for Slavia Prague to get more control of the game and started looking for opportunities to which Fenerbahce didnt respond well as conceded goals been come from defensive mistakes, with 2nd goal been mainly of Altay Bayindir. Still, Fenerbahce player Fedi Kadioglu did get important goal on 83rd minute with providing focussed performance in attack and strong shot, but rather then raising tempo after 3:2 game continued in-between until final whistle.

Besiktas CEO Ahmet Nur Cebi has got positive Covid 19 test result as virus is continuing to be spreading across Turkey rapidly as Nur Cebi been pretty active during this week which did affect him getting likely omicron.

Besiktas CEO has been at Adana for game against Adana Demirspor on 14th February and also been at 16th February at sponsorship signing at the stadium and one of the two events he has likely getting infected from virus. Fenerbahce needs to show strong game to get advantage against Slavia Prague.

Fenerbahce is going to return to European football with Conference League 2nd round game against Slavia Prague as this would be its last opportunity to end season at positive note and possibly even get title.

It needs to be noted that Fenerbahce as side is having pretty poor season and regardless of losing some players, Slavia Prague is still having pretty strong season in its domestic league and could provide some issues to Istanbul giant. Only positive note which could be seen from Fenerbahce is for getting good result against Giresunspor in the league with coming from 2:1 result but again Fenerbahce has been known during this season showing good performance occassionally but later continuing decline with its performance for few weeks, so Fenerbahce would need to show above average performance of this season in this game if it wants to get advantage score in this 1st leg.  Therefore, Fenerbahce needs to show confident and attacking game in this game.

Fenerbahce sadly doesnt provide full hope for this game but in same time if it does show one of its best performance it can get win. 

TFF and Besiktas are not happy with Murat Sancak accusation of referees to be FETO members.

TFF and its CEO Nihat Ozdemir have shown strong reaction among Besiktas CEO Ahmet Nur Cebi towards Adana Demirspor CEO Murat Sancak after his criticism towards referees and calling some to be members of Fethullah Gulen group FETO.

It needs to be reminded that FETO is being currently number 1 enemy of Turkey due of possibly organisation of failed coup in Turkey and hence referring to any organisation or person to be involved to this organisation is being insult. Hence, such statements from Ahmet Nur Cebi has been seen as strong ones and even went for TFF to open case against him as both federation and Besiktas has called for Sancak to give specific names or otherwise his words would be seen meaningless. In addition, he has been referred to PFDK where there is expectation for him to get high amount of fine and ban which he did state himself is being expected to recieve.

This issue is expected to be continued with groups in this matter being directly involved and it would be interesting to see where it would develop to.

Double standard comments to referee does harm to whole Turkish football.

Even through performance of referees at the Turkish Super League and Turkish Cup without doubt is being very questionable and not very effective, old habit of clubs to throw blame towards referees has been risen against due of Adana Demirspor CEO Murat Sancak.

Sadly, this habit of being quiet when clubs are winning games is being more understandable towards referee is not seen when points not given. More importantly even through some clubs claim that they focus is not themselves but whole Turkish football and clubs, when they penalty is not given to opponent or to them when they win is being stated as referees can make mistakes, when they lose and its towards them suddenly that referee is being worst referee and should not be given to them for rest of the season even through position is exactly same. In fact, Besiktas CEO Ahmet Nur Cebi did call Sancak to give double standards when commenting about referees due of issues mentioned above, but it is known that he has been doing same too while being CEO.

Criticising referees especially when things are not going well for you is not providing any good development to referee performance and quite opposite provides more pressure in upcoming games which lead to unwanted mistakes.

Giresunspor has terminated contract with its player Younousse Sankhare as player has accused side of providing strong mopping towards him which been later declined from club.

In last week, Younousse Sankhare has claimed to French media that Giresunspor has closed electricity in his apartment purposefully, didnt let him come out on the games purposefully and had some other accusations. Assuming that Sankhare statements doesnt represent truth, club did right decision as player would be providing damage to the club with his stay and very likely it did take week for termination to be announced due of some legal factors.

There is possible that Sankhare are right but when looking from outside, chances of it does look to be low in fact.

Kayserispor has signed Sakaryaspor player Arif Kardesler for 4-years hence providing important move for future of the club with potential player.

18-year old Arif Kardesler transfer from Kayserispor as been noted is been investment into the player which club does believe could provide some good performance and have high potential as he could be sold even for better value in upcoming seasons. Even through the game to some extend has been started in pretty controllable manner, it has been heating up as game been developing with Besiktas getting some control of the game with creating some opportunities with Alex Teixeira, despite of lack of goals of team in overall, start finding some goals in recent weeks as he did score against Adana Demirspor which did provide some confidence for himself and to the club even through Besiktas once again start losing tempo and control of the game as game been progressed as it did concede on 90+2 minutes after which game went into control of Adana Demirspor where opponent did score another goal which been disallowed once again. Trabzonspor made crucial step for title.

Trabzonspor got very important win against Konyaspor in its home ground and raised its point difference to 12 points with extra game from its closest opponent and made an important step for league title.

With Konyaspor in all fairness not providing too much pressure to Trabzonspor until 83rd minute, it needs to be noted that win did come to them in much easier manner with especially Trabzonspor giving sign that they did come out to this game with only focus to win which by itself shows how much motivated and focus team is for league title which it been waiting from 1984. This performance also showed that decline which been present in the side during recent weeks has been temporary and it showed strong recovery at perfect time with Edin Visca meanwhile being main player who has led side to get important win with scoring 2 great goals. It could be criticised that conceding goal from Cikalleshi at 83rd minute did led for side to get into bit out of control but still with strong defence it did get well-deserved win.

With such result and taking account of opponent game in hand, Trabzonspor does have 9 points safety cushion which is good advantage with 14 games left in season.

Konyaspor didnt show much resistance to Trabzonspor.

Konyaspor on their part did provide unexpectedly ineffective performance with only getting into the game from 83rd minute when Sokol Cikalleshi has scored great goal but its been too late.

Konyaspor to some extend did come to the game without any pressure as getting 2nd spot especially with point difference from lower clubs has been great success arleady from them and hence not getting highly motivated and not providing strong resistance could be connected to that. Trabzonspor makes important step for title.

Trabzonspor did manage to win likely its most important game of the season with 2:1 scoreline and has raised point difference with Konyaspor to 12 points with game in hand and could not see its eye for title in more confident manner. 

It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor has started game in very strong manner with getting full control of the game and providing pressure to Konyaspor players right at the defence with looking agressive to opportunities which led them to find an early goal from Edin Visca and after scoring that goal it continued providing more pressure as Konyaspor either to of shock or pressure which came from game didnt provide much response which continued even during 2nd half. With finding 2nd goal Trabzonspor did look that it was job done but after conceding goal from susbtituted Sokol Cikalleshi it got under pressure where both sides did provide panicked football but Trabzonspor did manage to keep its leadership until final whistle of the game and came much more closer to the title with such strong advantage.Without doubt player of the game is being Edin Visca who with his 2 goals been main role for win but also Nwakaeme provided confident game into attack.

Konyaspor has given all after 83rd minute goal from Sokol Cikalleshi which by itself did show that club does provide that side was aiming to stay at least in the title race for now but it does raise question why side did fail to provide similar game prior to Cikalleshi as it conceded 2 goals.

Trabzonspor has won very important game against Konyaspor and hence raised point difference to 12 points with extra game from its main title contenders and could not more confidently look for title.

 

Galatasaray needs to find ways how to win games.

Galatasaray continues showing poor results and being close to relegation zone with drawing this time against Kayserispor, as newly-appointed coach Domenec Torrent didnt win yet game after playing 6.

It needs to be noted that Galatasaray did provide better performance compare to opponents especially during 2nd half with creating high number of opportunities but it is being simple not enough for them as it continues showing not very creating and dominant game despite of playing with Mustafa Muhammed and Bafetembi Gomis which were seen as two players who could lift side from bottom half of the table. There has been some improvement as been noted but still Torrent does fail to provide much needed game which would been expected from side as he struggles to find way how to win games. Without doubt side needs to find solution in short notice if it doesnt want to experience difficult and stressful weeks in short period.

Galatasaray continues hence to be close at relegation spots and needs to find solution both mentally and performance wise.

Fenerbahce showed raise of organisation against Giresunspor.

Fenerbahce did provide some improvements especially during 2nd half during 2:1 win against Giresunspor and showed strong comeback after conceding on 2nd minute.

It still hard to state that Fenerbahce are showing top level game during 90 minutes when coming to number of opportunities and conversetions, but looking into performance of most players and comparing to general performance of the season it could be noted indivudually and teamwise it did show its best performance with tempo of the game, looking for opportunities and general willingness with getting close to level of game which is seeked from Ismail Kartal. Only player which didnt fulfill this satisfaction has been Mergim Berisha who continues to be missing opportunities. Most important this win, which been caught in such manner would provide needed motivation for Slavia Prague game at Conference League.

Torrent fails to win again with drawing against Kayserispor this time.

Domenic Torrent continues to be failing to win game with Galatasaray as it drawn this time against Kayserispor with 1:1 scoreline with finding equaliser on 85th minute with Mustafa Mohammed.

Galatasaray hence continues showing poor results in the Super League with Domenic Torrent even through there were lots of hopes with Mustafa Muhammed returning to club following African Nations Cup and also Bafetembi Gomis playing among other new signings. Fenerbahce gets win against Giresunspor during Super League 25th week game after providing poor performance in recent weeks but did get good win against opponent which been in good form in recent weeks despite of conceding in 2nd minute.

It would be needed to note that Fenerbahce did have start of the game which does represent recent form of the side as it did concede goal on early minute from 1st attack of opponent and did have issue do get control of the game straight away. Besiktas gets to the Turkish Cup quarter-final stage with beating Goztepe through penalty kick-outs as team's goalkeeper Ersin Destanoglu has made 2 crucial saves and once again providing top game through penalties.

 Besiktas are through Turkish Cup with beating Goztepe via penalties.

Besiktas gets to the quarter-final of the Turkish Cup via penalty kickoff against Goztepe as 120 minutes of the game has ended with 0:0 scoreline as Besiktas continued to show ineffective game in the attack.

It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas did provide, even bit less then in recent league game, an attacking game but once again couldnt convert some of the opportunities with Michy Batshuayi once again missing high of the opportunities. However, according to previous game, Goztepe did provide also good organised game in whole field both with providing strong defence and also creating some of the opportunities at the game where Ersin Destanoglu did have some important saves. Even more worrying for Besiktas that side did come with its main squad, without going into rotation, and hence it did come out for win but couldnt manage to do so for 120 minutes. Hence, Besiktas does continue showing some decline with performance with Onder Karaveli but providing good penalty kick-off which could be into being less tired still got into quarter-final as side continues to defend its title.

Goztepe on they part did continue to show strong confident performance at the Turkish Cup providing some pressure and organised game against Besiktas with leading game to the penalties but showed tiredness during penalties.

Trabzonspor gets to quarter-final with reserves not showing strong game however.

Trabzonspor continues its Turkish Cup journey with beating one of the suprising sides in this year competition Denizlispor with beating opponent with 2:1 scoreline even through it did struggle during 1st half with reserve players.

With Trabzonspor coming out to very important game against Konyaspor on weekend, Trabzonspor did go into big rotation which did provide some issues for the side during 1st half even through it did find early goal thanks to Huseyin Turkmen on 8th minute. This goal to some extend did rise expecation that side would provide much more attacking game but quite opposite happened as Trabzonspor did fail to provide much pressure to opponent goal. With some substitutes and first goal from Kouassi did bring win as it started providing much more organised game. Even through Trabzonspor did struggle during game, it did achieve its aim and would now be focussing into achieving double with being close to title and getting to quarter-final in the club.

Trabzonspor continues getting some good results but it does need to show better game from recent games as Konyaspor are being side at strong form.

Gabriel Torrent place at Galatasaray is being questioned.

Galatasaray is going through performance of its head coach Gabriel Torrent who didnt win yet win league game despite of coming to 4 games and it is seen that upcoming 2 games could be crucial ones for him.

With Torrent coming into getting side into more confident performance and results, quite opposite has happened as it finds itself just 3 points ahead of the relegation zone with Gabriel Torrent showing poor results losing 3 and drawing 1 games, and getting into such point that club is being satisfied with draw against Alanyaspor. Only issue here is that even through there is no compensation clause in the contract, it doesnt allow for it to be terminated and if in case it would, club would need to pay for 1.5 years which is set at the contract.
