What happened in Turkish football today? 22/02/2021

Fenerbahce continues playing same tactics which leads their moves to be predictable.

Fenerbahce didnt provide much threat to Goztepe during Super League 26th week game despite of having high possession of ball, as pressure from supporters and Turkish sports media towards head coach Erol Bulut is rising.

This blog did state beforehand that criticism towards Erol Bulut is being pretty harsh as team continued to get points and also changing might not have positive effect, but it needs to be admitted that Erol Bulut doesnt provide much changes in his tactical. It became clear that Fenerbahce both when getting ahead or behind is being almost same even through without doubt both scenarios needs total different. Despite of being slow and uncreative, Fenerbahce played same game which it did during whole season which led for Goztepe knowing every move and hence being ready to interfere everytime Fenerbahce was getting close. Without doubt Goztepe did very good homework but in perspective of Fenerbahce every other side would be able to get this observations.

Fenerbahce needs to improve especially as it gone play against Trabzonspor this week  where loss of game could easily cost them league title.

Hamza Hamzaoglu has resigned from Yeni Malatyaspor.

Yeni Malatyaspor head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu has resigned from his post following recent poor results and hence believed that his stay would provide more damage then help as he left with mutual agreement.

It needs to be noted that Hamza Hamzaoglu did provide some performances in results in section of current season and without doubt being one of the good coaches, but recent poor results among of not getting outcomes made it clear that he struggles also to find solutions to issues which we mentioning right now and hence as this could lead for some more poor results both parties did agree to end contract. Meanwhile, Yeni Malatyaspor CEO Adem Gevrek did state that club is not negotiating with anyone right now which is either talks taking place secretly or this resignation has been surprise for them.

Yeni Malatyaspor are going on decline so it does need to get coach which would be able to get good results in very short period of time for sure.

2 Trabzonspor players has recovered from Covid19.

Positive news has come from Trabzonspor as Covid19 test results for Serkan Asan and Arda Akbulut has turned out to be negative with players resuming training session.

This without doubt has been very pleasant for side as both sides even through might not be seen as main stars still could easily start at starting 11 regularly with providing strong performance which is especially important before crucial game against Fenerbahce. With this results, total number of Covid19 among players in club has been dropped from 7 to 5. It is known that other players would be going through test results within this week as club would be expecting for more negative test result especially for Ugurcan Cakir.

This is sure being good news for Trabzonspor and would let team to prepare in better condition to Fenerbahce game.
