Besiktas reaches to semi-final at game which ended up more difficult than should been.
Besiktas has reached to semi-final of Turkish Cup with providing strong confident performance against Konyaspor with forward seeking game but couldnt find crucial 2nd goal which led them to penalties.
Without doubt, one of the factors which did make for Besiktas for this game been different attitude given by Konyaspor during this game as it would be expected to provide much more focus to Turkish Cup and also changes of head coach, with Besiktas itself did play difficult game with 10 men against same side. In fact, this period for Besiktas against Konyaspor did end up much more with difficult condition which it was anticapating as 1st game it did play with one less men for 70 minutes while during this game it did play 120 minutes, which could provide some difficulty to Genclerbirligi physically. Still, Besiktas is being only top side staying in the cup which does make make them favourites where there would be playing with Basaksehirspor at semi-final which could become pretty tough game.
Therefore, Besiktas did get into next stage with showing good performance but as noted did struggle with its attacks taking game to penalties which it won with 3:2 scoreline.
Antalyaspor has got semi-final with showing patient defensive game.
Antalyaspor has reached to semi-final of Turkish Cup where it would be meeting with Alanyaspor, without providing too much effective performance against Sivasspor but did use great penalty opportunity which made game decider.
It needs to be mentioned that Sivasspor did provide much better performance during game especially after conceding , as game been played in between before Fredy goal from penalty. However, some strong defensive game from Antalyaspor and lack of last touches at goal didnt let for them to find that crucial goal which could change anything. It is hard to state that Antalyaspor, in all fairness, didnt show much effective in attack mainly showing organised and patient in behind both before scoring and after. It could be criticised but it did look that it was enough and this win in return did make sure that side from Antalya region would be playing in this season Turkish Cup.
Antalyaspor has been focussed into defence and taking account that Sivasspor doesnt tend to very effective with last shots it become key for them to get into semi-final of the competition.
Fenerbahce would need to show attacking without forgetting defence against Fatih Karagumruk.
Fenerbahce after getting poor results against Galatasaray at league and Basaksehirspor in Turkish Cup, would be focussing to provide improvement with its performance and result as it going to meet with one of the surprises this season Fatih Karagumruk.
Even through when coming to quality of sides, Fenerbahce does look to be favourite but it needs to be admitted that Fatih Karagumruk as side does focus and provide positive kind football with some focus into attack which it does show including against big sides. This could provide some issues, as Fenerbahce does mainly focus to keep scoreline with using some opportunities to get win, therefore it does need to find balance between both attack and defence, preferably more into attack as it needs to win game with confident scoreline would provide extra motivation. Fatih Karagumruk on their part would be expected to be showing some brave football as Fenerbahce failing to provide effective game despite being among top sides.
Fenerbahce would need to show more attacking effective game without forgetting defence in this tough Fatih Karagumruk.
