What happened in Turkish football today? 18/02/2021

Trabzonspor would be coming to Basaksehirspor with 11 absences.

Trabzonspor would be coming out to very crucial game with total of 11 absences during Super League 26th week game aganst Basaksehirspor, with 7 of this are being positive for Covid19 test results, while Basaksehirspor would be also coming out with some crucial injuries.

Without doubt both Trabzonspor and Basaksehirspor will be coming out to very important game with different reasons for it to be, as Trabzonspor would be aiming to stay close to league leaders while Basaksehirspor will be focussing to get out of relegation zone. With Trabzonspor being highly affected from Covid19, it is especially noted that its been hardest hit to goalkeeping position as all 3 of them will not be able to start game with 18-year old Kagan Moradoglu is expected to be starting at position. With such condition which side would be coming out, it would be pleased that its current most in-form player Bakasetas would be able to start game and look for opportunities. Basaksehirspor meanwhile would see its opponent which would come with crucial absences as strong opportunity.

Trabzonspor does have crucial absences so it would need to be showing strong character against Basaksehirspor without any doubt.

Loic Remy will resume training sessions after 2 weeks.

Rizespor has announced that its player Loic Remy who didnt play since 6th December would be starting training session after 2 weeks and has confirmed that player did have operation at Germany.

With not much events happening at Turkish football right now, due of none midweek games, end of transfer window and measures of Covid19 which reduces chances for statements in organisations, Turkish media suddenly started questioning why Rizespor player Loic Remy didnt play since 6th December and it became clear that there is no issues between club and player and this due injury which does take time to be recovered longer then expected. It is expected that he would be resuming training session after 2 weeks with being 100% ready might take some time after this.

Still, its being pleasant to hear such development as he is being one of the main stars in this league for sure.

Oguzhan Ozyakup and Ridvan Yilmaz has recovered from injury.

Besiktas players Oguzhan Ozyakup and Ridvan Yilmaz are reported to be recoverred from injury and be ready to be playing during next week game against Denizlispor as side will not play this weekend.

With both players providing pretty strong performance, especially Ridvan Yilmaz, would be seen without doubt as good development as Besiktas is being among sides which cant to be losing points in this period due of race for top spot is getting place with weeks reducing. Both Ridvan Yilmaz and Oguzhan Ozyakup, as more or less whole side, does provide strong game and hence them joining would provide only strength to side and raise options for Besiktas head coach Sergen Yalcin.

Hence, Besiktas would be looking into options of starting 11 in more focussed manner for Denizlispor game being played next week.
