Besiktas got confident win against Tarsus
Besiktas did get into last 16 of Turkish Cup game against Tarsus Idman Yurdu with 3:1 scoreline as Sergen Yalcin did provide some play time for players who didnt get much playing time during this season.
It needs to be noted that Besiktas even through due of its level of opponents didnt necessarily provide high level tempo of the game, it did provide strong seriousness to the game with providing high level focus from start to an end. Meanwhile, its been especially important to start game with Ersan Destanoglu who didnt play for number of weeks due of having 2-game ban previously to get back into playing mood which as known is very important fo goalkeepers and he did provide good performance despite of conceding from opponent during 80th minute which did come from relaxation from 3:0 scoreline while Tarsus did focus into task despite of such result. It needs to be noted that taking with squad which it did come out and alo whole atmosphere of the game with strength of opponent in all of the respect, Besiktas head coach Sergen Yalcin has been satisfied with how his side performed and focus it did show to this game.
Meanwhile, Tarsus Idman Yurdu despite of quality differences between both sides, did provide right attitude to the game with showing positive game looking for opportunities which it get return with finding goal on 80th minute.
Besiktas which without doubt does have aims for Turkish Cup did start competition in good competitive mood and got to last 16 without much problems for sure.
Trabzonspor continues showing very poor game.
Without doubt most unexpecting result during Turkish Cup 5th round has been during game between Trabzonspor and Adana Demirspor, but it would not be seen as surprising since side did provide poor performance in recent weeks.
Without doubt an improvement both with defence and to some extend attacking game with appointment of Abdullah Avci didnt yet show itself in its active manner as side does continue with showing ineffective slow game with only beating side of teams which are did show poor games prior. Fenerbahce continues showing ineffective game.
Even through Fenerbahce did get last 16 ticket of the Turkish Cup with beating 3rd division side Karacabey Belediyespor,it didnt show very good game with scoring goal from unlucky own goal from opponent.
It is true that Fenerbahce did play with 10 men for an hour as Altay Bayindir did get hand ball outside of penalty area which does come out as his habit to come out of his area, but when taking into big quality difference between sides for Fenerbahce showing such poor performance with slow tempo will not be acceptable and continues to show signs that team wasnt physically ready for this game as been visible from previous games to during this recent games. Therefore, with such poor game it does continue to provide some worrying images especially prior to in-form Gaziantep which didnt lose for 21 games in league and would certainly provide them some tough time to them in this week game.
Fenerbahce are not showing very good signs in recent weeks and does need to find solutions for this which would be done by Erol Bulut for sure.
