Galatasaray got to last 16 thanks to Belhanda penalty
Galatasaray has reached to the last 16 with beating Darica Genclerbirligi with 1:0 scoreline thanks to the last minute of 1st half penalty goal Younes Belhanda without being able to get full dominance but this could be due of most players not recieving lots of game time or not being entirely ready.
With 1 leg games in the Turkish Cup, most important factor is to get win regardless who are opponent with getting whatever scoreline but despite of that there was expectation that Galatasaray would provide much more attacking game with creating high amount of the opportunities but it did failed to do so entirely with only finding goal through penalty. Stating that Galatasaray still been side which did show full control of the game from start to end with creating high amount of the opportunities but did fail did convert them due of strong last touches. Still, it was crucial opportunity for players to show good performance and its been similar case for youngsters players. Not giving too much opportunities to opponent would certainly make Fatih Terim but possible he would like more to be done at attack.
Taking account that Darica Genclerbirligi is two divisions lower Istanbul giant there did show some good performance and attitude during the game and could feel that it did good job with only conceding 1 goal and certainly got them good experiece for future.
Galatasaray did come with entirely different squad from last league game and with some players showing good game, it would be interesting to see if some players would be selected to Super League game against Fatih Karagumruk.
Fenerbahce would be seeking to regain motivation against Karacebey Belediyespor
Fenerbahce would be playing against 3rd league side Karacebey Belediyespor at Turkish Cup 5th round where side which expects to come out with players which dont recieve much playing including young player will be seeking to regain confidence and motivation.
It is known that Fenerbahce did start season with strong aim to get Super League and Turkish Cup and even through we are still on early days of the Turkish Cup, in Super League it is providing mixture of performance despite of being only 3 point behind leaders Alanyaspor. With losing to Yeni Malatyaspor with 3:0 scoreline, making it 3 losses back-to-back at home ground, it would be seeking to stop this negative home record and would be meeting with all respect to its opponents. This game in addition could be good opportunity for Erol Bulut to check some of the names as there is talks that starting 11 would be going through some changes and performance some players could lead for different squad to be played against Gaziantep in this weekend.
Therefore, this game would be crucial for Fenerbahce both mentally and tactically possibly for upcoming games.
Trabzonspor likely to be more attacking against Adana Demirspor.
Trabzonspor would be playing its Turkish Cup 5th round game against Adana Demirspor with seeking to show strong attacking game with testing and providing motivation which didnt get too much say with defensive game.
Since differences between our opponents are being pretty big, it wouldnt be expected much focus to be given to defensive game which been dominated by Abdullah Avci even through still would be focussed into showing concentrated game which is characterisation of his teams whoever opponents are. With Avci being only recently coming to his role and still getting familiar with this team, it could be expected for some regular players starting during game with some players who dont recieve also being in starting 11 or getting time later on the game. This could opportunity for Trabzonspor to check its attacking game and regain confidence.
Trabzonspor would be coming to game as favourites but it would be interesting to see how side would be responding to such opponent.
