What happened in Turkish football today? 04/12/2020

Besiktas continues confident performance this time beating Kasimpasa

Besiktas continues its winning streak with confident attacking game as it has won Kasimpasa during Super League 11th week game with 3:0 scoreline with controlling game for majority of time.

With getting good results wth performances against Basaksehirspor and Fenerbahce during previous two games it was expected that Besiktas would show strong confident game during mediocre side Kasimpasa. It does need to be noted that Besiktas possibly didnt start in high tempo, even through still not very slow, in this game without getting high amount of the opportunities but still last minute of half by Bernard Mensah did help side do get goal which led them to enter to half-time with high motivation and confidence as side did provide much more attacking game on 2nd half with Kasimpasa also creating some opportunities especially prior to 2:0 scoreline aiming to get equaliser but did fail to use its chances in very effective manner. Its been also important for Vincent Aboubakar to score goal as he did in previous two weeks and slowly and confidently does get become as main goalscorer which been aim for transferring him to side. It needs to be noted that side start showing game which head coach Sergen Yalcin is waiting from his players.

Kasimpasa on there part did provide some good resistance against Besiktas especially before 2:0 scoreline with trying to get positive result but couldnt provide resistance to opponent tempo but does provide some optimistic image for future.

Besiktas hence got crucial game and with performance of previous two weeks would now looking with full confidence to game against leaders Alanyaspor next week.

Sivasspor would need to beat Maccabi Tel-Aviv next week.

Despite of losing to group favourites Villarreal with 1:0 scoreline, Sivasspor still would be entering to last week of Europa League with opportunity to get to knockout stage as it needs to be beat Maccabi Tel-Aviv next week.

It needs to be noting that with losing to Villarreal with minumum scoreline and having high number of Covid19 cases which does include head coach Riza Calimbay should be seen as good outcome despite of not showing high level of game. With adding to fact that Sivasspor was on risk to be relegated if it losses, if Maccabi did beat Qarabag, this could be seen as logical way to defend against club which is much experienced and stronger to them. Therefore, apart of conceding goal it did show good defence with Villarreal taking whole control. With Qarabag drawing Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Sivasspor would need to win its Israeli opponents and needs to figure out how to solve it as it would be still likely to have some absences without Calimbay so it would be tough but still possible task.

Sivasspor is being one win away from knockout stage and this should be main priority for side without doubt for this week with studying Maccabi intensely.

Galatasaray would need to be creative in attack against Hatayspor.

While Galatasaray players who did get Covid19 cases beforehand did show recovery from virus and would be on squad against Hatayspor, their opponents did report 3 players who got infected from virus, being so far most affected side in this season until now.

Galatasaray even prior to Covid19 developments did come out as favourites to the game with expecting that it would be conituing similar performance in the league which their showed during last week, but those reports from opponent did make task easier. One of the key factors for Istanbul side meanwhile would be show some creating performance in attack as opponents does provide strong defensive game with organised level which could provide some difficult and nervous moments in this game so it would be providing ass much creation as it come. Hence, it is expected for Galatasaray to control ball for 90 minutes once again but have difficulty to get some good opportunities. Without doubt Hatayspor priority during game will be not to lose it.

Galatasaray could have difficult time at front but it is expected still to convert some chances and get win.
