What happened in Turkish football today? 11/12/2020

Sivasspor didnt get go through due of Covid19 preventing them.

Sivasspor did lose its opportunity to get to the Europa League knockout stages after losing to Maccabi Tel-Aviv with 1:0 scoreline and did led for Turkish clubs to lose direct entry to Champions League and Europa League after next season.

However, without doubt it needs to be noted that Sivasspor did only travel to Tel Aviv with 14 players due of high amount of positive Covid19 cases and with such crucial absences on its squad still aimed to provide such level of performance as it was missing also head coach Riza Calimbay who got positive Covid19 test result. Therefore, it should be praised for still aiming to show high level game and creating some opportunities without providing too much protest protest due of their conditions even through it needs to be noted that it could get some more transfers in summer as Covid19 did exist and mentions that difficult times would be coming. Still as been noted players does deserve their praises for showing such strong game during that period with giving their best against Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

Even through it didnt get through side did provide some good performance but losing twice against opponent which who it fights for 2nd spot would lead them to be relegated.

Fenerbahce focussing to get good result at home against Yeni Malatyaspor

Fenerbahce will be resuming its league with Super League game against Yeni Malatyaspor where it would be aiming to get home win as it doesnt provide very good performance but opponent is not having specifically good season either.

Fenerbahce is providing unusual performance in this season, as it tends to get more wins at away games compare to home, which normally is not case even through absence of supporters certainly plays its role here. Fenerbahce would be focussing right now to change this negative statistics with game against Yeni Malatyaspor, and with team generally not getting good results against big clubs and generally not having great season would be good opportunity to show such good performance.  Fenerbahce still does see this game as turning point. Stating that, Yeni Malatyaspor would be focussing to this game with providing patient game and try to use patient but effective game to gain some confidence with possible point/s.

Fenerbahce would be coming out as favourite but its question if it would perform like one in this fixture.

Trabzonspor would need to show more attacking game

Trabzonspor as been noted, did mainly focus into providing defence game rather then attacking with Abdullah Avci and it would be interesting to see if it would be focussing same against Kayserispor.

Even throught this tactic could bring once again 1:0 scoreline, it is clear from Sivasspor game that this tactics will not work when played with attacking game and it needs to solve this out. Hence, without doubt this game could provide opportunity for Trabzonspor without forgetting defence, to provide more focus with attacking game looking and converting some possible goals as this could provide some crucial morale to attacking for upcoming games. It also needs to focus that Kayserispor would be aware of this style of tactics of opponent, and could be focussing into reacting to it rather focussing into creativity at attack or also respond with defensive game preventing opponent to get ahead when its gets opportunity.

This is opportunity for Avci to work and improve attacking game, but being with obsessed with defensive game its unclear if he would do so.
