Trabzonspor has effectively used weaknesses of Besiktas.
Trabzonspor has managed to get very confident win against struggling Besiktas with 4:1 scoreline and has managed to use opportunities from opponent weaknesses and provided strong attacking game. Besiktas on their own half carries providing poor game.
It was clear from start of the game that Trabzonspor was aiming to win an important opponent at home ground without managing to win previous 3 games. Taking account with Besiktas being poor form, Trabzonspor wanted to use its opponent weaknesses to its own advantage and has managed to use it. Without doubt main player of the team has been Jose Sosa who among playing direct role of 1st goal with Dorukhan Tokoz own goal and also great goal of 2nd goal, he has shown strong performance and pushed team forward without providing any feelings of absence of injured players. Without doubt Trabzonspor has provided great game with only negative aspect which could be mentioned regarding them was providing defensive game to its opponent towards end of the game allowing Besiktas to create some chances towards end of the game. Still, Trabzonspor has got great motivation for Basel game at Europa League and domestically.
Besiktas meanwhile has provided very poor performance and didnt manage to show any reaction when scoreline has turned on 3:1 but without doubt it has been too late for side to convert game as opponent had control of the game and them. One of the main strong weaknesses during this game and also in overall during this season it has some serious issues with providing attacking game which led for team to have such poor resulting performance. Besiktas during recent seasons without doubt main strong area which brought them 2 league title with Gunes has been showing positive and attacking game. With Abdullah Avci focussing into more control and patient has led normally for lack of finding goals and hence winning game. This aspect hence has led for fans to be unhappy with this. Besiktas hence needs to go through lots of work as it would be coming against Europa League against Wolves and would need to show much more attacking positive game.
Trabzonspor has got an important motivation for upcoming weeks while Besiktas likely get into more crises which was arleady on and slowly get into position where it could be difficult to solve at.
Galatasaray carry on showing poor performance, with contuning at derby game.
Galatasaray carries on providing pretty poor performance during this season as it has provided pretty passive game against Fenerbahce during Super League 6th week game as game ended with goalless draw.
It does need to be stated there wasnt expectation prior to game from Galatasaray as it did have poor start of the season but there was expectation that their could improve its performance for this game. As was stated at our blog prior to game, there was high expectation from Radamel Falcao but interestingly he didnt recieve any balls at penalty area which naturally let him not to have any shots. Therefore, even through this could be thrown towards player himself, it was visible that his teammates which could provide with him chances to score has failed to do so during whole game. Galatasaray are showing pretty poor performance and does look to be in pretty form right now and fail to show top level game which would been expected from this squad and would need to work a lot to improve this.
With Galatasaray meeting with PSG at Champions League on 1st October there is lots of worrying aspects at team while French side would come at good condition.
Fenerbahce been better side but it showed too much secure game
When comparing performance of both sides it could be stated that Fenerbahce has shown better performance during game but still it is not enough to win game especially at derby.
When looking at the performance, again with comparing both sides, Fenerbahce did look like more aware what their were doing and their game plan as it has created high amount of the chances. In fact, there were expectations that it might even provide much more attacking game during 2nd half but it started showing more secure game making view that it was satisfied with draw. Stating that Fenerbahce could be felt dissapointed for not winning game as it did get in its hands pretty poor Galatasaray and did lose chance as it wanted to show secure football. It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce defenders has provided satisfying performance during game without allowing Galatasaray at creating many chances but this could due of the factor of opponent not showing too much attacking game.
It needs to be noted that this result still keeps them at the fight for league title which is their aim and could count as extra point.
