What happened in Turkish football today? 23/09/2019
Both Besiktas and Basaksehirspor carry on providing poor performance.
Turkish Super League 5th week game between Besiktas and Basaksehirspor has been ended with 1:1 scoreline and hence made it clear that both sides are carry on having poor season as their continued to show poor game.
Looking at way how this game has been developing between two sides it would be hard to state that this two clubs has ended at 2nd and 3rd spots during previous season. Besiktas on their own half has failed to raise tempo which it was used to show at last season games at home ground. It needs to be stated and expected that style which is been playing by head coach Abdullah Avci is not being accepted at all by its fans and this has been become clear a lot with high amount of protests especially towards administration of team. Positive aspect of the game has been goal scored by Burak Yilmaz from penalty which would provide lots of motivation to the player without doubt, but it was clear that player is very far from top performance which would been expected from main attacker of the side. Lastly, but probably most important observation of game has been is referee Suat Arslanboga who made high amount of mistakes during game.
Basaksehirspor is also carries on showing poor performance but it needs to be stated that it has shown better performance compare to opponent especially during 2nd half and has been side which has lost 2 points.
Besiktas and its head coach Abdullah Avci carries on providing poor performance and losing points and didnt show that reaction which would be expected from team which needed win today.
Trabzonspor once again had been affected from absences
Trabzonspor are among top teams at Super League who also are showing poor performances right now and despite of showing good game and fighting spirit against currently in-form Sivasspor it has lost game with 2:1 scoreline.
Without doubt Sivasspor, are among teams in the start of the season who are showing good performance and above its usual performance, so it was expected to be hard game. An early goal scored by Avidjaj, has provided some hope for rest of the game but it wasnt able to show an reaction to Sivasspor who has managed to stay focussed to the team. Sadly, absences from injuries once again has affected for team performance especially at front as it has created many chances many chances. It needs to be noted that team has also mistakes at defence which tends to be an issue with all big clubs right now. As been mentioned, beforehand it could be confidently stated that right now Trabzonspor does have an issue with injured players and since it cant speed up recovery process so it needs to make sure its replacements are capable to show top game in upcoming games.
Sivasspor meanwhile has shown great atittute to the game without giving up after conceding goal as early as on 3rd minute and has stayed focussed to the team scoring 2 goals including at last minute and this win would provide important motivation for upcoming weeks.
Trabzonspor does show good performances but does have issue with converting chances and does need to find ways to improve of players which replace injured ones
Galatasaray rotation move has cost them 2 points.
Galatasaray carries on losing points during this season despite of still being seen by most people as main candidate for league title as it has drawn against Yeni Malatyaspor with 1:1 scoreline conceding at the last minute of the game.
Galatasaray has decided to go into rotation following difficult games during last week and also upcoming games with Fenerbahce and PSG, with especially only allowing Radamel Falcao to come out to the game in last minutes. Thing with rotation is that its being effective and tactical decision when things are going well for team, but this game has been very important due of loss of points and not coming out with its best squad did lead into losing to opponent which it has difficulty getting win in their home ground. Issue here is not only with seeing Yeni Malatyaspor below levels of upcoming opponents but also not aware into condition its on early stage of the league with being behind 5 points right now against Alanyaspor. Main positive aspect of game has been though good performance of Florine Andone who has controlled game getting into getting chances and showing positive attitude at not falling at position which could lead to penalty kick looking instead for goal.
Galatasaray are not at great form and physically with referring to previous games this season, its not ready for derby this game but it does have strong advantage at playing home.
