What happened in Turkish football today? 14/08/2019

It is time for Basaksehirspor to learn from mistakes at European games.

Galatasaray has been relegated from Champions League after losing to Olympiakos during 3rd qualifying round with 2:0 scoreline and hence losing whole tie with 3:0 scoreline and has completed Champions League campaign without scoring goal.

It needs to be admitted that Basaksehirspor did come out with a focus and believe that it can get win during game and provide strong and attacking game but the factor of drop of quality factor and general being behind European level has played an important role here. It needs to be noted that Olympiacos goalkeeper during game did also provide great performance as game has been progressing which has also affected to the final outcome of the game. Basaksehirspor in all fairness does got some experience at European football but doesnt seem to get lessons from that experience and now it needs to find ways to solve those issues to show better performance at Europa League.

Therefore, it is crucial for Basaksehirspor to learn some mistakes from this experience and aim to improve both during this season in domestic and European front.

Trabzonspor are highly motivated to Sparta Prague game.

Trabzonspor would be playing 2nd leg of the Europa League game against Sparta Prague as with great comeback during 1st leg it didnt only save loss but also get good advantage for play-off round.

Trabzonspor even did start season at pretty poor manner has shown high improvement at 2nd half and has found 2 goals back-to-back which without doubt would provide high motivation and concentration for 2nd leg game at its home ground. It needs to be aware as the side that it still needs to provide high level performance and not aiming to provide similar mistakes it did during 1st leg, but with taking account that game would be played very likely with supporters who has missed European football with itself would provide strong motivation and focus towards players without doubt and it would be Sparta Prague which is expected to have difficult game.

Trabzonspor among also expecting to show high level performance would be also showing strong motivation to the game for sure.

Yeni Malatyaspor needs to believe that it can beat Partizan.

Yeni Malatyaspor in all fairness would be having tough game against Partizan during 2nd leg game after losing to them with 3:1 scoreline but in same time the goal which was scored at away could be an important key.

Therefore, with also playing at home Yeni Malatyaspor needs among showing its best performance needs also to believe that it can around this tie with high level performance and provide confident and attacking game with also showing strong control of the and providing game without much fear. Still, Partizan would be coming out with good advantage of scoreline and its important to provide good defensive game at beginning hence Partizan would be likely aiming to find an early goal to kill this tie so with looking also for goal it would be important to make balance also with defence. As long as it doesnt concede, it would be able to stay at the game and use its chances as game progresses. This seems to be important issue towards Yeni Malatyaspor and to achieve that it needs strong belief.

Yeni Malatyaspor can make surprising result but it wont be an easy task to achieve at all as season progresses.

Schedule:
UEFA Europa League, 3rd qualifying round, 2nd leg:
20:00 Yeni Malatyaspor - Partizan (agg: 1:3)
20:30 Trabzonspor - Sparta Prague(agg: 2:2)
21:00 AEK Athens - U.Craiova(agg: 2:0) (winner of this this tie would be playing against Trabzonspor at play-off round)
