What happened in Turkish football today? 02.07.2017

Milan transfers Hakan Calhanoglu for next season.

Milan has transferred Bayer Leverkusen player Hakan Calhanoglu as the player has become 2nd Turkish player to be playing for top team from Serie A. There was a big interest towards Hakan Calhanoglu despite of him not playing for half season due of ban from FIFA.

Without doubt one of the best at the Turkish football in this current time is being Hakan Calhanoglu as he has made trademark with high class level free-kick shots which he would be accepting to continue for Italian side in upcoming seasons. It is especially good news for Turkish National Team to have a player to play at the team with great history at the top league witht the lack of this at the team especially with Arda Turan ending his national team due of crises last month. Moving to AC Milan would also help Hakan Calhanoglu to develop as player and show his class to rest of the Europe.

Hakan Calhanoglu has all reasons to be successful player at the Italian side and aims to bring team at the high level during next season.

Future of Wesley Sneijder at Galatasaray is unclear.

It became clear that Galatasaray player Wesley Sneijder would be leaving team during this summer transfer window with Igor Tudor not taking player to the Slovakia training camp and also for transfer of Younes Belhanda.

One of the clubs which is showing strong interest towards Sneijder has been Sampdoria as it accepts to transfer him for 2+1 years. Even through Sneijder manager Guido Albers has stated that this move is not certain and their need to talk to Galatasaray it is highly expected for him to leave in few months time. It is expected that all 3 parties would meet to discuss about future of Wesley Sneijder with Galatasaray stating that player would either leave or be at the 2nd role during next season. It would be unlikely that both Sneijder and his manager Guido Albers would accept this as a way to make a deal. Therefore we need to wait to see how this meeting will take place but it is expected that he would leave this summer.

Of course, Sneijder would accept to be seen as an important and be treated in that way so time would show if he would stay next week or not.

Besiktas didnt give up to transfer Pepe.

Besiktas still carries on its transfer works to transfer Real Madrid player Pepe even through it does look to be difficult task to achieve due of higher transfer fee.

As been mentioned several times at our blog, during this summer it does look like Besiktas aims to make limited amount of transfers this summer with one of them being Real Madrid player Pepe. Only strong side for Besiktas is the factor of Ricardo Quaresma providing positive information for Pepe during Confiderations Cup in Russia at Portugal National Team. Otherwise, Pepe would demand high salary which Besiktas might have trouble to meet and would need to find this extra cash but this transfer could be possible but still as been mentioned hard to achieve.

If Besiktas does manage to transfer Pepe it would certainly be biggest transfer deal during this summer transfer window.
