What happened in Turkish football today? 09/06/2024

Turkey and Poland will aim to win at last friendly before Euro 2024.

Both Turkey and Poland will be aiming to get win at the last friendly game prior to Euro 2024 for getting confidence and motivation for their first games at the tournament, Georgia and Holland respectively.

With both sides announced their final squads for Euro 2024 few days ago, it would be expected for both sides to start at least games with ideal starting 11 game and hence it would provide an important idea into both players and tactical perofrmance which Vincenzo Montella has for tournament in Germany. Stating that, it would be expected for game to be played at mediocre tempo as both sides wouldnt like to get some additions for injured players prior to the tournament and hence it would be game without much physical connections. Poland are coming out as favourites as their are playing home since supporters also sees this game as farewell towards Germany but Turkey would aim to show an effective game.

Both sides as been mentioned will aim to win for motivational and confidence boost but it would not be physical game a lot.

Zeki Celik and Yusuf Yazici didnt attend training sessions.

Turkish National Team players Zeki Celik didnt attend training session due of injury while Yusuf Yazici due of infection but it is expected that both players will be ready for its opening game at Euro 2024 against Georgia.

With Turkey does getting unwanted developments regarding of injured players, news of Zeki Celik will not be seen as not very pleasant but it is expected for player to be recovered for Georgia game while Yusuf Yazici does have 9 days until Georgia game and hence it would be expected for him to be also available in such crucial openner. It would be important for both player for now to take care of themselves and provide needed actions to recover fast for such crucial game against Georgia on 18th June.

This has been unwanted development but still it would be expected for both players to be 100% ready for Georgia game.

Ali Koc has been reelected as club CEO.

Fenerbahce has reelected as club's CEO following intense and heated election campaign with Aziz Yildirim but signing of Jose Mourinho and attiude of Aziz Yildirim in recent weeks did have direct role of this result.

Even through election campaign did go in very heated manner and with temperature especially rising on previous day, it has been pretty calm day at administrative meeting where Ali Koc has been reelected. Despite of lots of criticism towards him in last years, especially during last season, he did provide some promising future with appointment of Jose Mourinho and also Aziz Yildirim accusations and claims did provide negative attitudes in the eyes of voters and had direct impact with final results. Ali Koc did promise to bring star players

in this summer transfer window with Jose Mourinho and time would show if it would be able to make team which would be able to end upcoming season with title.

Ali Koc did win as he did look more trustful candidate despite of lots of criticism in recent years and would now aim to make best team during his reign.
