What happened in Turkish football today? 31/05/2024

Pendikspor did try to show positive game but inexperience has had direct impact to results.

One of the sides which has been expected to be relegated since start of the season in all fairness has been Pendikspor but it needs to be mentioned that it did have some good results and did try to show positive game.

With lacking quality which would been needed for Super League leavel, it did suffer to get some good results especially during 1st half but as been noted it did try to show strong and positive game which it did manage to do so and hence it would be unfair to state that their show boring football but lacking an environment and confidence of players it didnt manage to stay at the league. Stating that, Pendikspor in surprising manner didnt lose to Besiktas during this season with ending 1st game as 1:1 and then winning with surprising result of 4:0, to which it would be remembered for.

Pendikspor did try to show hence strong positive game but inexperience and lack of strong squad didnt keep them at the league.

Istanbulspor has been weakest link of the season.

In all fairness to team, Istanbulspor has been weakest team which could be seen from results as it only obtained 16 points after 38 games and even through did try to show some good game, it never managed to get upper hand.

Despite of being relegated with 5 weeks left until end of the season, it did get some good results on previous two weeks as it tried to show partly that it is still fighting for title but in overall it didnt provide any organised game. Istanbulspor has been deducted 3 points due of events at Trabzonspor which club CEO had invaded field and let team to leave game but even that it would only add 19 points and be 15 points behind relegation zone rather than 18 from that spot soo it hard to state that this events did have any direct impact apart of possibly mentally.

Istanbulspor did have poor season and it would need to make some drastic changes if it wants to return as this performance is not even good enough for 1st league.

Arda Turan seeks history at Super League

Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid memorable player Arda Turan team Eyupspor has managed to be promoted to Super League as it ended 1st league at top spot in very confident manner.

It would be needed to mention that Eyupspor has dominated 1st league during whole seaosn as it has set an aim to reach to top league in confident manner and it did that. Without doubt, Turan playing with coaches like Fatih Terim and Diego Simeone did play its role. Still, such confident performance should not be tricky to side as team would need to improve for Super League and make some good transfers without forgetting its budget to make team stay at top league.

Arda Turan has wriitten history last season and now he aims to continue to do so in Super League next season.
