What happened in Turkish football today? 01/02/2024

Samsunspor are expecting to give some tough time to Galatasaray.

Galatasaray are going to resume title race with away game against Samsunspor which are being close still to relegation zone but are showing pretty impressive performance since appointment of Markus Gisdol.

It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray apart of Trabzonspor game has been struggling during 2023 and even through it does have good quality and high aims, it would be expected to have some difficult moments with Samsunspor. With Samsunspor aiming to show an organised but also positive game would mean that it wouldnt provide much scare of Galatasaray and as been noted will aim to look organised. Galatasaray as on previous games would need to find an early goal if it doesnt want to make game more difficult as Samsunspor would know how to respond.

Galatasaray hence would be coming out as favourites but it would be difficult fixture for them especially playing in Samsun.

Hull City transfers Abdulkerim Omur

Hull City has signed Trabzonspor player Abdulkarim Omur who has been associated with his ex-club on previous seasons and would be eventually moving to outside country, an aim he had for some time now.

It needs to be mentioned that according to reports Abdulkadir Omur has been unhappy at Trabzonspor in recent years which could be seen from his performance at the team and also not being selected on previous games so it was clear that both him and club were considering to part ways at short period of time and Hull City offer of 2,500,000 euro to Trabzonspor did make deal to be finalised between sides. This move for sure would lead to Abdulkadir Omur to get back into performance level if he would be adapted both to Hull City and Championship at short period of time.

This move could eventually be good deal for Hull City and Omur but it has been good one for Trabzonspor as it did get sell unwanted player in pretty good value.

Hatayspor loans Hull City player Dogukan Sinik

Hatayspor continues to be making loan deals, as it loaned until end of the season Hull City player Dogukan Sinik who is expected to have positive impact to the team in upcoming weeks.

Even through Dogukan Sinik didnt show very good performance at Hull City he is still be playing player with high expectations and potential so joining Hatayspor would lead him to be showing top level performance as he also familiar with this league. It needs to be stated that good connection between Hatayspor head coach Volkan Demirel and Hull City CEO Acun Ilicali from Fenerbahce has made an important role without doubt for this transfer to be taking place and now Sinik has good opportunity to get to high level performance once again.

Hatayspor has been in decline in recent weeks and quality player like Sinik would help to improve on upcoming weeks for sure.
