Fenerbahce dominated 2nd half against Twente.
Fenerbahce got a confident win against Twente with 5:1 scoreline as it has especially dominated game after 30 minutes as red card of an opponent has played an important role with making things easier.
In all fairness it needs to be stated that Fenerbahce didnt have a very good start of the game as Twente did get some control of the game with aggressive performance and did find relatively an early goal and no signs has been that Fenerbahce would get such confident win with such scoreline. However, with red card and also some important changes in half-time by Ismail Kartal, Fenerbahce has got full control of the game and started to dominate game on the field with getting goals back-to-back in 2nd half. It also needs to be mentioned that Sebastian Szyamanski has been key player not only during this game but also in whole season generally so far scoring at each goal and providing assists.
Fenerbahce hence did get a very important advantage in this tie and something totally unexpected needs to happen for side to be relegated after 2nd leg.
Besiktas has got win but there are still questions regarding performance.
Besiktas did get an important win against Dynamo Kyiv in Bucharest, Romania as it been highly tempo game where Besiktas players did lose concentration in some points as Besiktas did get win with 3:2 scoreline.
With taking account that Dynamo Kyiv has been affected by war and also playing mainly with its younger players, as much as Ukrainian side needs to be admired some criticism needs to be given to Besiktas as it didnt provide good performance. Besiktas doesnt only provide some poor performance on the field for some amount of time in 90 minutes but also tends to struggle for most amount of time which seems to be case at the team since start of the season. Still, its been important for side to focus into game at least mentally and newly signed player Bahtiyar Zaynutdinov did find an openning goal in last minute game in his debut at team.
Besiktas did get an important win and would be coming with advantage at home for 2nd leg but it can relax as Dynamo Kyiv still being at tie.
Adana Demirspor inexperence didnt let them keep advantageous scoreline
Without doubt factor of experience between Genk and Adana Demirspor at European competitions did have its impact as Genk looked to be more organised in last minutes of the game with turning 1:0 to 2:1 win.
Adana Demirspor did have actually some good moments and did find very good goal with Samet Akbaba in sense of organision and did provide some good attacking game which did provide some issues to Genk. However, last minutes both showed that team would need to improve its away performance at European games and also whole experience in general as Genk seemed to be more calm and focussed despite of being behind. Adana Demirspor wasnt too behind but thats loss of concentration and possibly fill of pressure in the end did cost them an advantage scoreline for 2nd leg.
Good news in this tie is still open as Adana Demirspor does show good performance at home ground with strong supporters.
