What happened in Turkish football today? 28/11/2022

Galatasaray player Sergio Oliviera has become injured.

Galatasaray player Sergio Oliviera has become injured during training session and will not be able to play for 1 month which means he would be missing Turkish Cup and first week of the Super League when it would be resumed at least.

It needs to be mentioned that this injury news has been without doubt unwanted development as Sergio Oliviera pretty strong performance in recent weeks at the attacking midfielding position and has been improving by each game. With such injury been coming up after small break and without games to be played right now would be seen as also negative aspects. Even through this injury coming at the break would mean he would miss minumum amount of games rather than 1 month, negative part is being he would not be able to attend training session which Okan Buruk has been focussed to push side into much more improvement and become more competitive side.

Therefore, this injury without doubt would be seen as unwanted development and could affect all plans which Buruk had towards player.

Jorge Jesus has declined transfer offer from Flamingo.

It has become clear that Fenerbahce head coach Jorge Jesus has declined an offer from Flamingo which has appointed him to sign contract on mid-season break.

With Jorge Jesus had very good level of performance with Flamingo, similar to Fenerbahce and other clubs he has been coaching, it is being quite naturally for his former club to show such interest towards him. But with being arleady signed to Fenerbahce for 1-season, Jesus has shown strong respect to his contract, action which does suit him to character, and stated that he would stay loyal to Fenerbahce and would stay until end of contract at least. This action from Jesus without doubt would satisfy a lot to the club and provide relaxation as rumours did provide worries that he might leave club in upcoming days.

As been noted this once again has shown great character of Jorge Jesus and it is pretty clear that he would be focussing into having successful season at Fenerbahce from now on as he did before.

Galatasaray has declined loan deal from Fredrik Midjso

Galatasaray has declined loan offer from Az Alkmaar towards Fredrik Midjso as Okan Buruk is having lots of plans for rest of the season with player.

With Midjso playing at Az Alkmaar it is very likely that side has offerered loan deal to Galatasaray as it has noticed that player doesnt recieve much of the playing time in his club but Okan Buruk has been known to have some future plans and does see him as important player even if he is substituted. In addiiton, player did show some good performance when he did come into the field both in Cup and league so it seems reasonable for Okan Buruk wanting to keep player in season where clubs aims for title.

This news could also provide signs that Midjso could recieve some more playing time in upcoming weeks.
