Fatih Karagumruk has signed Sofiane Feghouli for 1.5 years

Fatih Karagumruk has signed Sofiane Feghouli for 1.5 years as contract would go into effect during January due of transfer window being closed right now.

It needs to be mentioned that Fatih Karagumruk has made an important transfer as it has signed player who is experienced to the Super League as he did provide very good performance at Galatasaray on previous season and has been key player at the team for long time. Meanwhile, it also needs to be mentioned that Fatih Karagumruk has made another transfer deal before mid-season transfer window, as it did sign early Besiktas player Adem Ljajic and hence has signed one of the experienced players who has all potential to become crucial player on field and outside of the field without doubt. Hence, Fatih Karagumruk does aim for upper half of the league, possibly fighting for Conference League spots and such transfer would give them quality needed to get those spots.

Besiktas is looking ways to get rid of Arthur Masuaku.

Besiktas is currently being unhappy with performance of Arthur Masuaku, who has been loaned from West Ham United and currently looks to end loan deal but if that would not case it could send him to reserve team.

Fenerbahce doesnt consider to sell Joao Pedro during this summer transfer window.

Fenerbahce doesnt consider to sell its player Joao Pedro during mid-season transfer window as club sees him as valuable player for the rest of the season as Jorge Jesus has high expectation on him.

It needs to be mentioned that number of Italian clubs are interested to transfer player during mid-season transfer window but Jorge Jesus has informed to administrative team that he sees lots of potential with player and hence doesnt consider to sell him during mid-season. Even through he didnt recieve lots of playing time so far during this season, he did show lots of potential with providing some effective performance and scoring goals on some occassions. Hence, such willingness to keep Joao Pedro and hence keep alternative players as much as possible could be highly understandable as player also shows some good performance when he gets playing time.

Galatasaray player Sergio Oliviera has become injured.

Galatasaray player Sergio Oliviera has become injured during training session and will not be able to play for 1 month which means he would be missing Turkish Cup and first week of the Super League when it would be resumed at least.

It needs to be mentioned that this injury news has been without doubt unwanted development as Sergio Oliviera pretty strong performance in recent weeks at the attacking midfielding position and has been improving by each game. With such injury been coming up after small break and without games to be played right now would be seen as also negative aspects. Even through this injury coming at the break would mean he would miss minumum amount of games rather than 1 month, negative part is being he would not be able to attend training session which Okan Buruk has been focussed to push side into much more improvement and become more competitive side. 

Therefore, this injury without doubt would be seen as unwanted development and could affect all plans which Buruk had towards player.

Jorge Jesus has declined transfer offer from Flamingo.

It has become clear that Fenerbahce head coach Jorge Jesus has declined an offer from Flamingo which has appointed him to sign contract on mid-season break.

With Jorge Jesus had very good level of performance with Flamingo, similar to Fenerbahce and other clubs he has been coaching, it is being quite naturally for his former club to show such interest towards him. But with being arleady signed to Fenerbahce for 1-season, Jesus has shown strong respect to his contract, action which does suit him to character, and stated that he would stay loyal to Fenerbahce and would stay until end of contract at least. Galatasaray has declined loan deal from Fredrik Midjso

Galatasaray has declined loan offer from Az Alkmaar towards Fredrik Midjso as Okan Buruk is having lots of plans for rest of the season with player.

With Midjso playing at Az Alkmaar it is very likely that side has offerered loan deal to Galatasaray as it has noticed that player doesnt recieve much of the playing time in his club but Okan Buruk has been known to have some future plans and does see him as important player even if he is substituted.  Galatasaray are intested to transfer Barcelona player Inaki Pena.

Galatasaray are showing an interest with signing Barcelona player Inaki Pena as player did provide some good performance on previous season while being loaned to them as he is still seen as good alternative to Fernando Muslera.

With Fernando Muslera getting close to retirement age, Galatasaray start looking actively to his replacement and Inaki Pena who has been loaned to club on previous season did show some impressive performance with single-handedly bringing points in period when Muslera has been injured. Celta Vigo are interested to transfer Trabzonspor player Maxi Gomez who does show pretty good performance at the club especially during Europa League.

It needs to be mentioned that when offer comes from top leagues to players who are at Super League, it always does provide some worry as it is quite natural for players to want to compete in much more competitive league. Therefore, returning back to Spain for Maxi Gomez could be seen by him as good offer. Bringing foreign referees to Turkey has been reopened by some of CEO.

Following Club's Union which took place on 24th November, talks about including foreign referees into Super League both as VAR and main referee has been reopened again.

Accoring to post-meeting announcements by some of the club's CEO and also rumours from inside, it is reported that there are some parts of CEO who are against including of foreign referees into the league but majority are for such suggestion. However, in our view solution doesnt seem to be case with foreign referees as there is no quarantee at all that there would provide top level performance as VAR system is not perfect in other countries. In fact, similar wrong decision are being made all around the world with only issue that this subject is not being dominating both by club administrators and media, so sound from those countries is not as loud as in Turkey regarding complains of referees.

Rather than calling foreign referees we believe that solution should be given within with an aim to improve referee performance with education and training programs.

Clubs are resuming training sessions.

With some of the clubs has resumed training sessions and others would be starting in short period of time, it needs to be mentioned that this training period during this World Cup is being to some extend similar to pre-season atmosphere.

With clubs doing some training sessions at own facilities and later moving to Antalya with majority due of weather conditions, would also play high number of friendly games. With transfer window not being open until January this break would allow clubs to improve performance of existing squads and possibly also identify some players who might be put into selling list and focus into replacement of the transfers. Hence, this break as been noted beforehand is being good opportunity for clubs to work into improving performance which been shown so far in season and also make side more competitive.

Kayserispor will go to CEO election on 10th December.

Kayserispor has announced that it would be going to the early election on 10th December, as it is current CEO Berna Gozbasi has given signs of resignation in recent periods to the media.

In her statements, Berna Gozbasi has stated that she has an issue to find solutions into current issues and due of this it would not be productive both to club and her to stay in such position. With resignation not being followed, as it been seen as emotional statement, it still become signs that some important events would be happening in upcoming period of time. Without doubt, this announcement of CEO election to be taking place at 10th December is what this period has led to happen. It would be highly expected for Berna Gozbasi not running for CEO elections but she might change her mind and see this election as sign of approval of her performance in the club.

Kayserispor does have some serious economical issues and hence CEO candidates who would announce their candidacy would need to be aware of this.

Clubs Union would work together with Youth and Sports Ministry for improvement at academies

Clubs Union and Turkish Youth and Sports Ministry has signed partnership to promote football to youngsters and hence join club's administration.

One of the main issues at the Turkish football which been seen is being academy works of the club even through it needs to be mentioned is more or less issue how those academies are run and how they move towards main squad and how they perform there. Therefore, even through it would be important to propagate and motivate youngsters into joining football academies of the clubs, it might not be enough to solve issues and it could be more crucial to focus works which are done to academy players especially when they move step up and join national squad and not recieving much of the playing time in this period.

Still, this could be seen as impotant step forward for Turkish clubs and could help to identify and improve of potential stars in Turkey.

Sivasspor has made transfer deal with Tyler Boyd.

It is reported that Sivasspor has made transfer deal with Tyler Boyd who has left Besiktas few days ago as even through his performance wasnt good at his previous side he did show some good performance at Ankaragucu.

Galatasaray has found transfer fee of Kaan Ayhan too high.

Galatasaray has decided not to continue transfer negotiations with Sassuolo player Kaan Ayhan as his club has requested 5 million euro for player without reducing price to which Istanbul giant has found to be too high.

Both due of recent performance of Kaan Ayhan in Italian club and also national side which were in decline and also economical condition of Galatasaray and in fact all of the Turkish clubs it has decided to end negotations. It needs to be mentioned that Kaan Ayhan has been seen as an alternative player and hence playing such price for this has been seen to be high and hence this decision could be highly understood. Therefore, it does look like Galatasaray did end negotiations with Sassuolo but might restart next summer according to play performance.

Hence, it does look like Galatasaray would likely look for another alternatives in upcomg periods.

Fenerbahce starting negotiations for 2-year extension with Enner Valencia.

Fenerbahce would start negotiations with its player Enner Valencia agent for extending contract for 2-years.

With Enner Valencia showing very good performance with Ecuador at World Cup against hosts Qatar and also having potential to build on this, has made Fenerbahce to become aware that lots of action would be given during mid-transfer window and hence has risk of losing him. Being very important player, club would start negotiations with agent without informing much to player so he would not lose concentration. It is reported that Rangers which has sacked Bronckhorst very days ago is currently are interested to appoint Alanyaspor head coach Francisco Fariori for position.

Francisco Fariori even through is not having very good season right now at Alanyaspor, in general did show some good performance at Turkey and hence did get some attention both in Turkey and also outside of the country so it could be seen expected for Rangers to be showing interest especially afterwards such an successful campaign at Champions League. Selcuk Inan has been appointed as Kasimpasa head coach.

Kasimpasa has officially appointed Selcuk Inan as club's head coach as it would be his first experience in such high position but as been noted beforehand he did recieve lots of experience as being Fatih Terim at Galatasaray.

It needs to be mentioned that to some extend Kasimpasa are both are making risky decision with such appointment but in same time is getting a good coach into its own hands with full potential. Without doubt, risk is being that Selcuk Inan doesnt have any experience in such top position and is being working at the side whihch does have lots of aims at the Super League with main aim of not being relegated. In same time, however Selcuk Inan did play an important role as being assistant to Fatih Terim which he did succeed well and also got an important lessons from Terim which he would eager to go into effect. Therefore, this is being slightly risky but good appointment for Kasimpasa.

As been noted, Selcuk Inan has lots of potential due of his background with working as assistant coach of Fatih Terim which he would be eager to turn into expeirence very likely.

Porto are interested to sign Fenerbahce player Lincoln Henrique.

National team training camp has been successful for sure.

Turkish National Team had a successful training camp and international friendly period as it has managed to 2:1 scoreline both against Scotland and Czech Republic and get young players to get adapted to the team.

Main aims of this training camp has been for side to make some preparation for Euro2024qualifiers, provide some experience and adaptation to young players like Arda Guler and also get through pressure which it did get from unwanted results in last 2 games of Nations League. It needs to be mentioned that Turkey hence did show some good performance and has shown signs that it took those friendlies very seriously in fact more serious than opponents which led them to get wins in both games. This is also showed to Stefan Kuntz that team can show good performance with 4-3-3 formation in the field.

Hence, it could be stated confidently that those 2 games has provided good experience and outcome in this period and provided some important lessons and raised confidence to whole side.

Kasimpasa are close to make deal with Selcuk Inan for head coach role.

Ex-Galatasaray assistant coach Selcuk Inan who also has shown some strong performance as player in same team is reported to be close to make coaching deal with Kasimpasa as it would be first test as head coach.

Selcuk Inan even through has been assistant with Fatih Terim has got some important coaching lessons from him and also did play some important role at Galatasaray with its been known that Terim and him did work well. Hence, even through there is not much experience, Inan is familiar with coaching career and how to manage it and hence this would be advantage for him. Also, there would not be much pressure from outside towards Inan during his period at Kasimpasa which would also provide him some easiness and could focus into getting some good results as long as club would also provide patience towards him.

If Inan would be able to convert those into experiences with being next man to Terim into head coaching he could show some good performance at Kasimpasa as long as club would also provide patience.

Turkish Football Federation CEO Mehmet Buyukeksi has made statement that he would be giving extra focus into teams working on improving budget and working on academy which would bring some players into national team from young age.

Buyukeksi in our view has made right statement that if there is no regularity then teams would not do this factors themselves stating that if there would not be players limit, most clubs would sign 15-20 foreign players. He also announced that there TFF would provide central solar energy heating which would provide important factor to protect environment and also improving financial situation of the clubs as many money goes out from electricity factors. Turkey has shown some impressive performance against Czech Republic.

Turkish National Team has completed its international friendly 2-game period with a win against Czech Republic of 2:1 as team has provided strong and confident performance where some youngsters got some playing time.

In similar manner as friendly game against Scotland, it could be stated that Turkey has shown seriousness to the game as it aimed to get into winning spirit, positive performance and also got over aftermath of getting only 1 point at Luxembourg and Faroe Islands game. Even through there were some times when Czechs did get control of the side, it needs to be admitted that in overall Turkey has been side which has controlled game for most amount of time 90 minutes and among scoring 2 great goals it has also been looking for much more. It has been especially important for players like Arda Guler and Tayyip Talha Sanuc to get some playing time in very young age and get adapted to the side in short period of time

Therefore, Turkey did end this friendly period in good manner with beating both Scotland and Czech Republic with 2:1 scorelines. 

Cuneyt Cakir has ended his refereeing career.

In total of 20 players from Super League will be participating at World Cup 2022 with Galatasaray sending most amount of players with 5 of them aiming to show strong performance.

To some extend, the highest chance for among of those 20 players to come back to Turkey as World Cup champions are being Fenerbahce player Michy Barthuayi and Galatasaray player Dries Mertens at Belgium as their are seen as more or less dark horses to win title and expect to get at least to quarter final. Turkey has won 2nd friendly game against Czech Republic as Cuneyt Cakir had officially ended his referee career.

Turkish National Team has won 2nd friendly game against Czech Republic with 2:1 scoreline at the game where Cuneyt Cakir has officially ended his coaching career and Arda Guler had his debut at national side. 

It needs to be mentioned that Turkey did come out to the game with a focus to get win against pretty strong opponent which is also being on rise, and after 5 minutes when Cakir has officially has blown his last whistle, it has started providing much more pressure into goal and start looking into possession which did eventually end up with goal from Emre Unal on 31st minute with great goal and has continued providing such pressure. There was period of game in start of 2nd half when Czech Republic did get upper hand during which period it did find goal from Cerny from goalkeeper goal but it needs to be mentioned that Turkey did show good reaction after conceding and started to provide pressure to Czech Republic which led for great goal from Hakan Calhanoglu who did have good eprformance. Meanwhile, Arda Guler during his 1st game for national team towards end did have some nervous to the game but he needed such experience and it did come during friendly game and would look more confident during upcoming games.

Czech Republic needs to be mentioned also came to show strong football and did provide some good challenge to Turkey and had some good moments themselves during the game. Hence, this been to some extend good test for both sides.

Turkey did have very good this 2-game friendly period with winning Scotland and Czech Republic and hence provide some hope for Euro 2024 qualifiers without doubt.

Galatasaray are having negotiations for contract extension with Sacha Boey regarding salary.

Galatasaray has offered to raise salary of extension contract of Sacha Boey to 780,000 euro but player is requesting 1.8 million euro as he is being among players who recieves rest amount of the salary. 

It should be expected for player to provide such reaction as he is playing selected at starting 11 for long time during this season and has provided very good performance and played an important role with positive results, but due of economical conditions of the Galatasaray, it doesnt aim to raise into high amount of salary towards him and hence would continue negotiations as Galatasaray accoring to reports has stated that it would raise at most to 1.1 million euro. Turkish National Team are going to play international friendly game against Czech Republic as the opponent is being into similar level of quality as were previous opponent Scotland which it won with 2:1 scoreline.

In fact, there is one common thing which makes those 3 sides together, which is for not getting World Cup 2022 ticket via play-off qualifiers which by itself which shows that sides on similar level of quality. However, it needs to be mentioned that Czech Republic is being newly-developed side with some quality players which are eager to prove themselves and keep performance level at high so it would be accepted for them to provide some strong attacking game. Meanwhile, this game is also being farewell game for well-respected Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir who would come out for first 5 minutes as he would be send farewell. Besiktas has terminated contract with its player Tyler Boyd due of high number of foreign players according to TFF even through there is no official statement yet by club.

It needs to be mentioned that Tyler Boyd has joined few years ago to Besiktas with high expectations following Ankaragucu performance at the club but he wasnt able to fulfill them which led him to be in substitution. It needs to be mentioned that there were signs of potential when he did play for side but he never got into level which team did seek for. Therefore, with club not aiming to play him for near future it would been effective for to sell him or terminate club and without doubt Boyd is also considering this and hence did make deal for termination with his own club as he does need to get some playing time.

Turkish National Team has started 2-game friendly period with positive manner as it has managed to get win against Scotland with 2:1 scoreline and has shown strong and confident for first 60 minutes.

This game is being crucial one as it is being to some extend start of its Euro2024 qualifying campaign, to regain confidence after poor end of Nations League and also its being 1st game in Diyarbakir. Turkey has won an important friendly game against Scotland in sense of mentality

Turkish National Team has won its first of the two friendlies with 2:1 scoreline against Scotland as it has shown in general pretty good performance and looking confident however there were some serious decline towards end of the game.

Even through Turkey has reached its aim of being promoted at the Nations League, its last 2 games has been pretty dissapointing and has recieved lots of criticism and hence it did come to this game in such psychological condition which Stefan Kuntz has felt most. Stating that it did look like Turkey did provide confident and attacking game without letting Scotland to create any chances during this period and did come to the win. Despite of it being friendly game meanwhile, with such game has been also 1st game at the Diyarbakir city has affected as both sides did aim to show good performance for supporters who did come into stadium who has shown very good supporting role and did push Turkey forward without forgetting to show respect to Scotland. Turkish National Team would play its international friendly game among two strong opponents, with one of them being against Scotland in Diyarbakir as this game is expected to be good test for side prior to Euro 2024 qualifying campaign to be starting in March. 

With Turkey to some extend is going through dissapointment for not getting to World Cup and also not very good ending to Nations League even through it did approach its aim to be promoted to League B, as it needs to be mentioned that it would be playing a friendly game against side which also has set an eye for World Cup but didnt qualify in same manner as did Turkey through play-off games. Atalanta decided not to send its player Merih Demiral to national side.

Turkish National Team player Merih Demiral has been taken out from squad for international friendly games against Scotland and Czech Republic from request of his club Atalanta.

During this international friendly games, all of the clubs has right not to send its players to national squad camps even if they have been called to. It needs to be mentioned that such issue hasnt been case from Turkish clubs which send to national team and among other clubs but Atalanta has decided to keep him. Such decision could be either due of preventing factor of him to be injured or working with him during this World Cup at the break. In either case, it does look main reason is for fear and worry for player to  get injured when taking account this are only friendlies. 

Such decision, without doubt would be seen as Atalanta but should be treated with understanding as side did use its right for such option.

TFF has organised its fair-play awards.

TFF has organised fair-play awards for first time in its history as it has provided awards to winners of Super League 1st weeks as it being approximately 1/4 of the season were played.

This newly-selected administration led by Mehmet Buyukeksi has stated several times since being selected is to bring togetherness and understanding between TFF and clubs and such move is without doubt has been decided to provide some positive effect towards clubs and motivation not to create chaos. The awards were given according of either not being referred or being referred minumum amount towards PFDK. By giving those awards hence this has motivated winners and others to provide much more positive and attitude to each other. 

Hence, this has been positive behaviour and could provide some good outcomes during this season hopefully.

Super League is going on break for 45-days due of World Cup 2022

Due of World Cup 2022 which would start on 20th November in Qatar, Super League would be going to 45 days break which to some extend could be treated as pre-season period it goes through.

To some extend, this break could be seen in Turkey and rest of the world as division of the season into two halves as with leagues being met right into the end of 1st half or in some cases, like in Turkey, in duration of 1st half of the season. With Turkey not participating at World Cup, and even through there are players which would compete in competition from Turkish clubs, it could be stated that most clubs would be able to go through training camp, which would be taking place of clubs in around 10-days time would provide opportunity to work and improve sides which are either being tired from playing both in Super League and European competitions and also who are not showing good performance. Hence, this is being good opportunity and time would show how their would use this opportunity.

Besiktas and Antalyaspor game has been postponed due of explosion in Taksim

TFF has announced that Super League game between Besiktas and Antalyaspor has been postponed following explosion in most busiest city of the Istanbul due of uncertainty of situation and also proximity of stadium to the area.

With cause of explosion has not been announced officially until now, there is strong belief that it could been terror attack so for security reason, it could be noted that following decision has been right one as it could provide danger towards players and also supporters and everyone who is being present. Coming to the game, due of World Cup break there is possibility of it to be taking place after World Cup break as both sides did send some of its players to the national team squads. Even through TFF if decides to have during this period it might convince both sides for this break. 

Security and TFF has been made right decision without doubt and has made an important decision for the safety of everyone who would be at stadium and also uncertainty of condition as been mentioned stadium is located close to area where explosion happened.

Galatasaray dominated against Basaksehirspor.

Galatasaray which even through did come slightly favourites against Basaksehirspor during league game, were not expected to get humiliating win with 7:0 scoreline as their opponents provided worst performance during whole season.

It needs to be mentioned that starting from Turkish Cup 3rd round game, Galatasaray has provided rise of performance and has shown confident performance with Mauro Icardi especially starting fulfilling high expectations which were given to him. In fact, he has continued to do so during yesterday's game where he only found only one goal but also provided 2 great assists, especially one towards Kerem Akturkoglu which did come from great study of situation, not being egoistic and possibly raise self-confidence of Akturkoglu. In overall, Akturkoglu has shown best performance during this season and has got well-deserved hat-trick. With Basaksehirspor providing its best performance and high willingness from Galatasaray has led for such outcome.

With Galatasaray greating strong confidence and results, it could be stated that they being least wanted to side to go to World Cup break in such form.

Fenerbahce showed signs of tiredness against Giresunspor

Fenerbahce probably showed its first signs of tiredness from such intense season at the game against Giresunspor, as even through it did provide some good organising game, it did lose lots of tempo which prevented them effective attacks.

With Fenerbahce showing great performance in recent weeks both domestically and in Europe, it was expected for Fenerbahce to get an easy win against Giresunspor at its home ground but signs of tiredness and also 2 yellow cards in first half of Pedro had played serious issues. With Fenerbahce not being able to provide same reaction as it did against Sivasspor, Giresunspor has provided good and organised performance as it got points from big 4 once again as it tends possibly to provide much more concentration to those games. Meanwhile, Serdar Aziz has been on his bad day especially during 2nd conceded goal as keeping ball too much with being last player on goal has cost him a lot  as Saiss has scored goal which brought win to Giresunspor.

Fenerbahce is going to enter World Cup break with unwanted result but it has surely deserved this break as it would be aiming to resume season in December in much more stronger manner.

What happened in Turkish football today? 12/11/2022

 Galatasaray has destroyed Basaksehirspor in key game of the week.

Galatasaray has humiliated suprisingly against Basaksehirspor during Super League which would decide which side would enter at 2nd spot to World Cup break, as Galatasaray has found 7 goals without reply with Kerem Akturkoglu getting hattrick.

It needs to be mentioned that game did start at pretty low tempo with both sides getting some mistakes with passing but as scoreline provides Galatasaray has shown much more attacking game and looked to be more organised. Galatasaray meanwhile is providing very good performance in the last 2 weeks and also showing some positive game at the Turkish Cup, and this without doubt has affected to this performance too. Therefore, it could be argued that Galatasaray especially during 1st half didnt provide high tempo performance but it has much better plan while Basaksehirspor did look to be pretty ineffective and couldnt get into the game, and Galatasaray has used this into its own hand without doubt. It has also been very important for Kerem Akturkoglu who does recieve lots of criticism during this season to score hat-trick with getting high confidence and reminding everyone that he plays important role in this team. With this result Galatasaray also send strong message to Fenerbahce and whole league that it would be fighting for title this season.

Basaksehirspor has provided least organised performance during start of this season and had an issue to get inside the game with providing low team, high passing mistakes and letting Galatasaray to dominate game. With this result Emre Belozoglu would enter to World Cup break with many deep thoughts for sure.

Galatasaray hence has got very unexpected confident win and would enter to World Cup break with high expectation and strong signs of what it could do after 44 days break. 

Fenerbahce has shown signs of tiredness against Giresunspor.

Fenerbahce got an unexpected loss against Giresunspor which it being 2nd loss during this season as it has played whole 2nd half with one less man from Joao Pedro as opponent provided organised performance. 

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce did look to be slightly tired compare to its previous games which could be understood as it played hogh number of players and didnt provide strong attacking game even when it did play 11-on-11. It needs to be stated despite of this tiredness, Fenerbahce did show some good organising game for 90 minutes with looking for chances but it didnt provide right high tempo which was seen in previous games which did happen also due of good defensive game from Giresunspor. In fact, it was visible some signs of tiredness also on last week game against Sivasspor, so it could be mentioned that even through there were belief that for side in good form going to long break would be disadvantage, this game did show that it does need rest and regain energy during this World Cup break.

Giresunspor meanwhile did provide some good organising game with providing low tempo game without getting into too much attacks and used its two good attacks has turned them to win game. Hence, with focus into defensive game did play an important role for such important win for them.

Fenerbahce hence did show some signs of tiredness during Giresunspor game but good news for them is that they would enter to break as being leaders.

Trabzonspor continues showing decline with its performance.

Trabzonspor are continuing showing decline of its performance as it got draw against Ankaragucu as it has ended game with 1:1 scoreline without providing too much creativity in the attacking game.

It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor continues having some decline compare to last season as it does lose tempo and does sign of fighting spirit for win in this period of time and this has been case during 2nd half. Trabzonspor and Ankaragucu did have an issue to get into tempo of the game as it has been played at low tempo during 1st half which has affected to performance. In fact, excitement of game did come only for 5 minutes, between 69-73rd minute, where both goals did come from both sides and has ended result. One of the serious issues without doubt that Trabzonspor did concede goal in very short notice and didnt do much to keep scoreline. Trabzonspor has been among sides who had high number of games during this season due of European games and hence this World Cup break would keep opportunity to regain and improve its tactical game.

Hence, Trabzonspor will enter to World Cup break without result which it was seeking for and most importantly made it clear that it would need to make some changes tactically which Abdullah Avci would look for.

Trabzonspor continues having issues with attacking game this season

Both Ankaragucu and Trabzonspor would be going to the World Cup break with getting 1 point as both sides to some extend would been unhappy with following result even through when coming into performance it did look like both sides did play for draw.

Even through 2nd half of the game has been more active and aggressive from both sides compare to 1st half, it needs to be mentioned that for 90 minutes its been pretty passive game. To some extend, Trabzonspor did look to be side which has created some opportunities but still it has provided provided pretty passive game and did lack good attacking moments and continues to be side which does have an issue with creating positions and showing an attacking game. Trabzonspor hence possibly has been more under pressure for not losing rather then winning even through it did go ahead during game. Stating that, Trabzonspor conceded goal did come from penalty which has been bit questionable as it is unclear if ball went to hand or otherwise. Hence, it does look like Trabzonspor continues having issues with creating game compare to previous season.

With Ankaragucu being on good form from recent games, did come out to game with good organised game especially at defence and this has managed them to prevent Trabzonspor to create high number of the chances and this would be seen as good point for both sides.

Trabzonspor so far didnt provide performance which been expected from title holders and this World Cup break would provide great opportunity for Abdullah Avci to work on this issue and provide much more agressive side. 

Basaksehirspor and Galatasaray will come to crucial game prior to World Cup break.

Prior to World Cup break, Super League would be having a big game as Basaksehirspor and Galatasaray are going crucial game for leadership race between two sides.

To some extend, even through is being early, result of this game could have direct impact to title race as both sides are being 5 points behind league leaders Fenerbahce. It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray are coming in better form as they have won last 2 games including against Besiktas at derby game while Basaksehirspor are having some decline both with results and performance. Stating that Galatasaray are still are not in best form and being one of the sides which actually waiting for World Cup break while if Basaksehirspor will be able to provide full focus to the game could provide some good response to opponents especially in defence. It would be very good important game and will have direct impact into race for top of the league.

What happened in Turkish football today? 10/11/2022

Besiktas got win thanks to the goals from first half at Turkish Cup.

Besiktas has got a win against Serik Belediyespor during Turkish Cup 4th round and hence got into next stage of the tournament thanks to the 3 goals which did come during 1st half.

In fact, once again Besiktas did show two different halves even as it played against relatively weaker side as Serik Belediyespor is competing at 2nd league, but it needs to be mentioned that Besiktas did show strong and right attitude to the game with finding 2 goals within 10 minutes thanks to the goals from Redmond and Muleka,and later in half Dele Alli scoring more or less to empty goal.  This game as been noted before-hand did come in right time as it did regain confidence and motivation for next game after losing to Galatasaray at derby game. Meanwhile, with World Cup break coming up from next week, Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes would need to focus into how making sure side is playing top game for 90 minutes.

Besiktas did get good win and regained confidence but now it needs to work on showing strong game for 90 minutes.

Trabzonspor will aim to enter to break with high motivation.

Trabzonspor would be openning last week in the Super League prior to World Cup 2022 break with game against Ankaragucu as would be favourite but it needs to be mentioned that opponent are showing some improvements in recent weeks.
