What happened in Turkish football today? 09/09/2022

Fenerbahce got win at high physical game.

Fenerbahce has got bright start at the Europa League as side has managed to get its 1st win against Dynamo Kyiv in its history as it has been quite physical game as both sides has provided high number of fouls.

Following game, both sides has blamed themselves with providing a physical game but when looking into statistics even through Dynamo Kyiv did look to be more rougher, it would show that Istanbul side didnt also show non agressive game. However,it does need to be mentioned that Fenerbahce has been focussed into showing more performance at the field with controlling game during 1st half and also towards end of the game, while Dynamo Kyiv did show some strong performance in mid of 2nd half where it also found equaliser and showed that fighting Ukrainian character. Still, Fenerbahce has been showing more positive game on the field and did get well-deserved win which did come from Michy Batshuayi as he scored in short notice after joining side.

Even through Dynamo Kyiv did show anti-football game, there could be given some empathy to the side especially after game. It is true that Fenerbahce needed to fight for win but after final whistle it could show more understanding.

Trabzonspor looked passive against Ferencvaros.

Trabzonspor has only been side to get lost following European games at strong but to some extend still mediocre side Ferencvaros as it did concede 2 goals after opponent got with 10 men with by itself shows decline of the team from last season.

Trabzonspor continues showing ineffective performance with somehow it being able to get points in domestic league but same couldnt be stated same in Europe. It needs to be also mentioned that experience of Ferencvaros at European competitions did play very important role rather than quality of the side. Trabzonspor especially did look pretty passive during 1st half which without hand went into hand of Ferencvaros. It needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor has been close to get draw from this game especially with 2nd half performance, but when looking at the game overall it could be noted that Ferencvaros did look more organised and did deserve this win.

Ferencvaros are difficult opponent, but Trabzonspor would meet with more tougher opponent in this group and hence it would need to improve a lot in short period of time.

Basaksehirspor continues showing effective strong game.

Basaksehirspor has dominated game against Hearts with getting win with 4:0 scoreline and continued showing positive attacking game and scoring goals.

Following poor start of its season as it did have some trouble with Maccabi Netanya, it has carried on showing positive attacking game with finding high number of possessions and scoring goals which it has continued against Hearts. Even through Scottish side didnt provide strong attacking game themselves for 90 minutes and does look to be in trouble, it needs to be mentioned that Basaksehirspor aggressive game has prevented side to get into focus of the game. Without doubt, with such result Basaksehirspor has send very strong message to other sides of the group for rest of the campaign.

Basaksehirspor are in very good form right now and could be very tough to beat in upcoming weeks at least both domestically and Europe.
