What happened in Turkish football today? 20/12/2021

Fenerbahce is being currently under big pressure.

Both Fenerbahce and Besiktas got even further from title hopes as point difference with Trabzonspor is getting bigger and bigger while Fenerbahce is especially being under pressure despite of being closer to leaders.

Following 2:2 draw against Besiktas, but even more providing less effective game compare to opponent as to some extend their did gain 1 points continues providing pressure towards head coach Vitor Pereira and CEO Ali Koc as side didnt dominate game letting opponent to do control of the game. Fenerbahce supporters in addition has provided strong protest calling Koc to resign, this is being 1st time for him to recieve such critisicm from supporters. With being 14 points behind leaders side is showing ineffective game and does urgently need to find solutions to this issue.

Things are not going as planned for Fenerbahce and Vitor Pereira need to find solutions for this during next 2 games if he wants at club.

Besiktas were slightly better on field.

Besiktas even through also has ended game with draw and is being further from leaders, did provide much more fighting spirit against Fenerbahce looking for opportunities.

If Besiktas goals did come in more or less into creating opportunities, conceded goals did come from questionable penalty and mistake from Domagoj Vida and when looking into overall performance did look to be much creative and forward seeking side even through it still didnt provide incredible strong performance on the field. Regardless of this, Onder Kareveli did manage some positive aspects with this performance and does provide trust from everyone in club until new coach is appointed.

Therefore, Besiktas were better side but their also find themselves far from title hopes.

Trabzonspor will play against Hatayspor with high morale.

Trabzonspor would be coming out to Altay game with high motivation and confidence as it made point difference with big 3 clubs even more bigger and keeps its point difference with closes opponent Konyaspor to 9 points.

Trabzonspor did provide strong reaction to previous week loss as it got confident win against Hatayspor and would be focusses to continue such high level performance against Altay which is currently is being at big decline and would have issues to provide strong resistance to such in form side. Trabzonspor would also see this game as start of new winning series and hence likely to provide similar pressure to Altay as it did do Hatayspor.

Trabzonspor belief of winning title is getting more and more realistic and it would be coming to game in such mood.
