What happened in Turkish football today? 01/12/2021

Both Goztepe and Fenerbahce dont think their players attacked each other.

Both Fenerbahce and Goztepe are showing their disbelief and protest towards decision from PFDK to open case for both players with heated argument which took place at changing room.

According to both sides, both players did have argument between each other but it did happen in manner which would not even be given card on the field and there were not any attacks between sides. Fenerbahce even adds that if similar actions took place during game then every single player at every single game would get fine for attack. In short, both sides state this decision has been exerated and both players dont need to get any fines or bans. Without doubt, crucial thing here is that both sides decline this decision which does show that issue at changing room were not serious.

It would be interesting to see how PFDK would respond with possibility that both players would not recieve any disciplinary action.

Ahmet Agaoglu explains why 14 clubs will not criticise referees.

Clubs Union Ahmet Agaoglu provided reason why 14 clubs has joined into decision not to criticise referees until midseason break.

Decision did come to provide morale and provide chance for new elected Central Referee Committee to show themselves and also to referees. This decision even through been goodwill, due of some nature of football managed in country, been criticised especially from Besiktas but to some extend this been good decision as it would reduce tension between clubs and referees without doubt for some time. Agaoglu also adds that this decision did come as principal among clubs and doesnt mean every club would need to go through this decision.

To some extend this does provide pressue to referee committee as it does send message that we are looking quitly and would respond after 1st half of season ends.

Burak Elmas states that some members of TFF prevent Turkish football to go forward

Galatasaray CEO Burak Elmas states that number of member at TFF administration are providing pressure to Nihat Ozdemir as they aim for next CEO election.

Burak Elmas hence states that Nihat Ozdemir does have issues at running TFF and Turkish football in healthy manner due of recieving such pressure and barriers from number of members in the Federation. This without doubt is being strong accusation as it would be providing some issue at the TFF and how some decisions could be met with some members purposefully could push Turkish football down purposefully.

This statement could provide some interesting actions and statement in upcoming days and we would follow it.
