Fenerbahce couldnt pass very organised Antalyaspor defence.
Turkish Super League 7th week game has been started with unexpected result as Fenerbahce has lost to Antalyaspor with 1:0 scoreline, even through Fenerbahce has been one who was creating chances but couldnt pass opponent strong defence play.
It needs to be noted that when looking at the game Fenerbahce has been concentrated to get a win as it provided strong offensive game but couldnt pass strong Antalyaspor defence. It needs to be noted that with conceding on 6th minute from Antalyaspor counter-attack led for Ufuk Akyol to be on-on-one which has led to find goal where goalkeeper Altay Bayindir couldnt do much. After that, Fenerbahce has been dominating for most amount of the time even through it needs to be noted that Antalyaspor has created many chances. Even through on 1st side it could be seen that Fenerbahce did everything to find goal but it did have an issue with last touches both in some positions it has lacked with passes and shots. Especially at the moment when Miha Zajc header which was going comfortably to goal has strucked to Vedat Muriqi has been specifically dissapointed both to players and supporters. Still, Fenerbahce did provide right focus to game but couldnt pass through Antalyaspor defence.
Even through this post does provide view that Fenerbahce has been close for a win, in all fairness it could be stated that Antalyaspor did deserve this win as it provided great defence game and used its chance to find winning goal and this win would provide high motivation to team.
Fenerbahce did many things to win this game but it did get ahead of itself side which didnt want to lose today providing very disciplined game.
Besiktas head coach Abdullah Avci is getting less and less.
Besiktas carries on showing poor performance both domestically and in Europe as this time it has lost to Wolves as opponent didnt provide very strong performance and have found winning goal in last minute as it started showing an attacking in last 15 minutes of the game.
Besiktas did control game during 1st half of the game but did provide once again game with lack of creativity as game was progressing without providing too much dangerous shots to oponnent goal. With similar performance of Besiktas and once again loss it was quite expected that head coach Abdullah Avci regarding his resignation has become actively discussed by club supporters and also media. Following post-game press conference it needs to be noted that Avci in detirmened manner did make it clear that his coaching should not be criticised and it should be focussed with how team is performing. Even through such statement does look to be justified in same time it goes away from recognised that he is providing bad performance and could make his future at the team even worser for sure. Stating that team doesnt have administration right now to decide his future so he would be staying at team likely until end of October at least.
Credibility of Avci is getting less and less and to turn this around he needs to be starting winning games or otherwise things would be only getting worser for him in the club.
Trabzonspor showed good potentiality from Basel game.
Trabzonspor has provided pretty impressive performance against in-form Basel and despite of losing game it could be stated that it was side which has lost 2 points during game and does provide right performance for future in both domestic and European front.
Trabzonspor has provided right attitude and also used right momentum for this game as it started game aiming to win game looking for a chance and balancing field. Even through it did show also strong reaction after scoring 6 minutes from conceding it made similar thing but other way round after conceding when it was seen as winning goal after 2 minutes. Trabzonspor which still has some injuries has managed to use its substitutes in those last 2 games and this has been converted into more stronger creative game looking for chances and providing much more effective attacking game at the front for sure. Even through some people are dissapointing with this draw rightly, it needs to be remembered that their opponents has won Krasnodar on 1st week with 5:1 scoreline and has some good experience at the Europa League. With Trabzonspor being absent from this tournament it was good performance from side and provides good perspective for future.
Trabzonspor was poor against Getafe but right now it is showing much more dominating game and does look to be side which would get wins in upcoming games.
