Turkey can aim for top spot at Euro 2020 qualifier.
Turkish Football Team has got an important draw against France during Euro 2020 qualifier Group H 8th week game and enters as group leaders with same points as world champions with game 1:1 draw.
This result is also meaning that Turkey has kept 6 point advantage with its main rivals for qualifiers Iceland,with who it would meeting during next month where opponents would be aiming to keep its hopes for Euro 2020 until last game. It needs to be noted that Turkey performance quite understandably has been focussed to provide defence and preventing France to get into chances. Without doubt, hero of the game has been Mert Gunok who has saved 2-3 goals during 1st half and during conceded goal he couldnt do much. It needs to be noted that Turkey did provide great focus after conceding on 72nd minute looking for equaliser which has been as it is known its main aim during those 2 qualifers. Kaan Ayhan goal meanwhile has been great goal which Turkey deserved to win as it didnt lose to France in this campaign.
Right now, Turkey would need to focus for Iceland game in November opponents which it didnt win for long time and possibly aim for top spot at this qualifying campaign.
Army salute action is not really provocative behaviour.
There was been for long time, in tense conversation regarding of army salute given by Turkish players during games against Andorra and France, in latter one French broadcaster not broadcasting that action.
There seems to be France and Germany, among Kurts of course, seeing this action as pro-war action even through Turkish football players main consideration and motivation is being to support its soldiers at border at Syria with anti-terrorist operation. Sadly, political mass media around war is providing negative view of those actions from this operation which leads to such reaction. In fact, it was present despite of all this talks which took place to game itself was played at calmer manner. Meanwhile, French broadcaster did state that reason why army salute has not been broadcasted is due of UEFA guidelines which it has recieved whih does raise questions through if its actual reason since for this action. Even if UEFA did provide such guideline than why it has been normal case in other situations. We agree that politics should be staying football but this action from Turkish most of all is cultural aspect and is not frankly very provacative.
This reaction hence has been overdone by European sports media and possibly been risen from Kurdish diaspora in those actions.
Victor Ruiz has become injured for 1 month.
It became clear that Besiktas player Victor Ruiz who has become injured during last week game against Alanyaspor will not be able to play for 1 month.
Victor Ruiz even through of poor start of whole team this season, has been among newly-signed players who has shown some good adaptation and managed to provide some good performance in defence game. Therefore his absence for upcoming month could provide some weaknesses in its defence line and would provide some extra actions with his replacements. With Ruiz also making clear that he used to team, would also lead him to show some fast adaptation and therefore as player in this period he likely to be focussed for fast recovery aiming to come back team as soon as he can and also provide better performance at the team. Right now of course Abdullah Avci would aim to provide an alternative game at defence which he should be able to find as he focusses into defence style of play.
Besiktas does have some important games and with team aiming to start getting positive results it would be crucial to keep its defence strong and stable.
