What happened in Turkish football today? 30/10/2019

Fenerbahce got into next stage at Turkish Cup but substitutes players need to improve still.

Fenerbahce has managed to start its Turkish Cup without allowing its opponent from 2nd league Tarsus Idman Yurdu to get surprising result as it has played with players which didnt recieve much playing time during this season.

Despite of getting what could be seen as relatively good result against Tarsus Idman Yurdu it is hard to state that team has provided strong and organised game as those players who came out have played first time and this factor without doubt did provide some difficulties with understanding and not raising its tempo. Even through Fenerbahce did look to be focussed to the game, it could be seen from slow tempo and controllable play that side has been too confident it would get to 5th round without much issues. Even through it did achieve that without much difficulties, it did concede goal due of such high level confidence with Altay Bayindir who has provided too much self-confident game with playing too much with ball. Even through Altay Bayindir in general is self-confident player, it was observed he has been over-confident during today game. Meanwhile, this game has been good opportunity to prove himself to fans and Ersun Yanal how much he is ready but did provide look that he does need time to get into high level performance. Overall, without providing perfect game Fenerbahce did get to next stage of cup without much difficulty.

Tarsus Idman Yurdu in all fairness in their quality and level aimed to provide its best performance and it managed to do so in some moments of the game and in overall players did get importamnt experience by playing against one of the strongest teams in country.

Fenerbahce did get to next stage but it does look like players who played today need to work themselves as this performance is not enough in more competitive games.

Kayserispor has appointed Bulent Uygun as  club's new coach.

Kayserispor which is currently located at last spot in the Super League has announced that it has appointed Bulent Uygun as its head coach after 3 days of terminating contract with Sergen Yalcin.

So far, with only 4 points getting during this season and also changing 2 head coaches, Kayserispor has decided to appoint one of the most experienced coaches in Turkey Bulent Uygun who tends to be working among mediocre sides having some experiences being at bottom half of the table and pushing team forward getting providing good results. Stating that it needs to be stated that job of Bulent Uygun will not be an easy one at all as Kayserispor new administration does provide some impatience waiting for results to come as soon as possible which could provide some pressure towards Bulent Uygun but administration that with financial issues which team is going through it would need to be aware that it is hard to get good results with having this condition in hand for sure. Club is going to start its new era with Fenerbahce where it would not be expected to win and in fact might feel unlucky but in same time will provide opportunity for Uygun to see clear issues which club has playing one of the form sides in the league.

Bulent Uygun can provide good results but its crucial that administration would provide patience towards him as it is not easy task.

Radamel Falcao could turn to be huge issue to team

There seems lots of talks about Galatasaray player Radamel Falcao injury among administration, technical staff and supporters with some rumours going that injury is being chronic.

Radamel Falcao is slowly starting similar condition which Fenerbahce has experienced with Robin van Persie who was brought as big success, but didnt play lots of game due of recurring injury. In fact, according to rumours Falcao did come to team with chronic injury and this factor has been known both by club doctor Yener Ince and everyone at the team. In fact, administration didnt want to transfer him following that development but with pressure recieved from fans, it has went through it. It needs to be stated that supporters who have brought him to team, could go against him if he would not play in upcoming days. Another factor, if that talks are true it would mean that fans are playing direct role of transfer, more than administration. Supporters would go after big names, but will not know some  factors such as sustaibility of player to team and in this case injuries of player. Therefore, this is very worrying and raise questions into effectiveness of club to sign players without outside pressure.

Radamel Falcao was transferred as player who would push team forward and get to another level, but for now he seems to be only big issue to the club.
