Akhisarspor has got advantage over Umraniyespor at Turkish Cup semi-final.
Akhisarspor has got an upper hand of Turkish Cup semi-final tie against lower division side Umraniyespor with winning away game with 1:0 scoreline at the game where both teams has provided slow tempo and controllable game.
Even through Akhisarspor are located at last place of the Super League and are not at good form, it did show good performance in some parts of the game against Umraniyespor as it has an additional motivation to defend its Turkish Cup this season. Stating that, it is hard to state that team has shown great performance and for most amount of the game has provided counter-attacking game especially during 1st half. It could be stated that it has shown better game during 2nd half but still it is hard to state that it has dominated game and has shown its upper hand during this game. Still it has created number of good chances and did find goal from very good organised attack and with good pass from Manu towards Bokila has provided an important goal. Akhisarspor has got an upper hand with help of an away goal but it needs to aware that Umraniyespor is strong game and has quality to get good result and hence its still need to be focussed during 2nd leg game.
It needs to be stated that both sides during this tie has shown mainly controllable game which led for lack of chances. It needs to be stated that Umraniyespor did have some good chances during game and especially at 1st half has shown good chances of creating game but it did have some issues of converting chances with last chances at which it needs to be improved at 2nd leg. Even through some people could state that it has beaten both Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor in this competition, and has played relatively weaker opponent, Umraniyespor likely and understandably has been affected by pressure and nervousness from being 1 step behind of the final game. Umraniyespor needs to stay focus for this tie and believe with itself for 2nd leg but it would be difficult task but it needs to remember that it had got through strong teams of country and that should provide motivation and confidence when 2nd leg game would be played on 24th April.
It has been played at slow tempo and both teams has been focussed mainly into controllable game and this tie for sure has been into strong advantage of Akhisarspor which aims to end season at high note especially due of poor performance at league.
Galatasaray players has lacked creativity against Yeni Malatyaspor.
Galatasaray has lost its opportunity to use home ground advantage during Turkish Cup semi-final tie against Yeni Malatyaspor as it has drawn 1st leg game with 0:0 scoreline and didnt provide too much creative game.
Foremost, the game has been dominated by Galatasaray player Christian Luyindama red card who has hit with his leg to Yeni Malatyaspor player Guilherme and could recieve as much as 6-7 games ban from PFDK. But it needs to be stated that coming to the game in overall, Galatasaray has been one who had possession of the game but with defensive game of the opponent wasnt able to control game as much as it would wished for. It was realised that Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim has come to the game with strong squad, which did show how much he wanted to win this game but same couldnt be said same for players who has lacked creative game. With Diagne starting game from beginning, he didnt manage to show an effective game once again which has also played an important role for such game to be ended in such way and it does look like fans are start losing patience towards player as their had shown protests towards him and Henri Onyekuru when they had been substituted.
Galatasaray would need to improve its performance as it would be meeting with Yeni Malatyaspor once again at the Super League where it finds itself 6 point behind league leaders Basaksehirspor.
Yeni Malatyaspor has shown good tactical game against Galatasaray.
In other hand, Yeni Malatyaspor has provided right tactic for 2-leg game against Galatasaray especially when 1st leg has been played at away as it has shown good defensive game and was one which controlled pace of game.
Stating that, it could be noted and slightly criticised for Yeni Malatyaspor not being to find goal especially when opponent has been played with 10-men but it did try to create its chances. Of course, 0:0 is not great advantage but at least it would be aware that winning game would be enough at home ground but it cant afford to concede due of away goal rule. More interestingly would be seen how it would perform at Super League this weekend and if it would provide similar tactical game against Galatasaray once again. Yeni Malatyaspor even through had ball much less and didnt create much of the chances, did provide good tactical game by players and did get good draw result when taking this factor into account. Yeni Malatyaspor did state several times that it wants to win Turkish Cup and it does have small advantage at this tie right now.
Right now, Yeni Malatyaspor would be focussed into Super League 27th week game once again against Galatasaray and would also aim to provide similar tactical game against opponent.
